I brought in a vacuum that had a carpet attachment that was not receiving power. They called to say it was ready. I was told that«one of the three on/off switches was in the off position» over the phone. There is the main ON switch on the canister, the ON switch on the connecting pole, and the ON switch on the attachment. Supposedly the pole switch was off. I was also told the charge was $ 39.95 on the phone, when I was originally told that they had a free diagnostics check when I brought it in. Hmmm. When I went to pick up the vacuum, the«technician» who supposedly worked on the vacuum was not there. He had already left for the day… Once in the store, I was told by another rep that the technician did in fact open the attachment and work on it for ½ an hour. I feel this just does not add up. If I made the bone-head mistake of having a switch off, be straight up and tell me, and maybe charge me $ 20 and explain that you are cutting me a break because of my mistake. As a first time customer, with other repair options, I just did not like how they did business and will not return.
