I’m so glad I found this great boba place while visiting the University campus! It’s not a far walk from campus and there are many shops and restaurants on this street. It is kind of hidden away, but there is a big sign outside so you won’t miss it! I’ve had their Roasted Milk Tea with boba, and their Matcha Latte with boba. Both drinks were delicious! Their boba is yummy and they give you a huge portion, which is a plus! Their matcha was not artificial and tasted so good! This is a great place to socialize. They have many tables, games, free wifi, and a tv where they play movies. I will definitely return here next time I’m in the area!

Best drinks, period. Pearls are on point and tea is fresh. Culture doesn’t allow for imitation garbage like Cocomero or Latea. Good drinks and a great atmosphere make for one of my most frequented places on campus

Chatime tea is my ultimate favorite bubble tea. The sign for the business is pretty big, but it shares a building with a couple other businesses. Behind the doors, its straight down the hallway so pretty easy to find. I have ordered many different drinks from them, as I am an avid bubble tea drinker, including the banana milk tea, which is super creamy and has a strong banana flavor, and the taro milk tea as well, which is a top seller. I think Chatime is very tasty and am a loyal customer that chooses this establishment over others in the Champaign area. I highly recommend Chatime if you like bubble tea.

Delicious but pricey. This place hurts my wallet. I got a red bean milk tea and it was great. Very sweet but that’s what I’ve come to expect from chain bubble tea places.

I’ve had Chatime when I traveled to Toronto so I was really excited to hear they were coming to Illinois! Chatime is almost as good as I remember it being with their roasted milk tea and brown rice green milk tea being a highlight. But, the taro was disappointing here. I remember liking it a lot because they put actual taro pieces in it, but when I had it this time around the taro was really grainy and the texture ruined the milk tea for me. Also, the prices here seem to be ridiculously inflated. Milk tea can be pricey but I thought $ 6+ for a large drink with one add on(boba) was too expensive. Maybe it’s like that because it’s in a college town? The seating here is very limited so it’s more of a place to grab drinks and go. It can definitely get super crowded fast but the drinks still came in a timely manner.

Delicious as always! Doesn’t matter which chatime go!!! I got the coffee smoothie with pudding. I never had it, but it was a very good decision to try it.

The entrance is on Green St but the actual place is tucked way back down a long hallway. Kinda felt like I was going into a doctor’s office or something. Nothing really special or nice about the interior, and I wouldn’t want to hang out there for very long. The boba was good and I was happy they didn’t put too much ice in as requested. Seemed like bubble tea to me, except exorbitantly expensive. I paid $ 5.75 for a 16oz hazelnut chocolate milk tea with boba. Not worth it at all and I didn’t enjoy the flavor. It also took over 10 minutes to make my tea after paying. They wouldn’t accept my American Express card. With that much profit margin on a luxury item they should accept all major credit cards. I’m not sure why anyone would go out of their way for this.

Chatime has great and authentic«bubble» tea in many varieties; I really liked the freshness of, and real tea used in, the standard milk tea that they sell. The tapioca balls were the perfect texture and I knew that they were very fresh as well, something that is very important for good milk tea. Chatime is located inside of a building right off Green Street and right next to the UIUC campus. The inside is sleek, new and reminiscent of, what I imagine, is a trendy bubble tea place somewhere in Beijing. Students come here in droves and I can see why.

Before I even start this review, let me clarify that my opinion of Chatime is pretty biased… people who know me know I come here all the time and even despite a few over-sugary disappointments and long waits on previous orders(80% sugar on most drinks especially the matcha red bean milk tea being still wayyy too sweet), I think this place is the best thing to happen to Green St and post-meal cravings since Cocomero.
