Update: the table and chair is perfection in my tiny kitchen! I paid extra to have the chairs put together, and was told it would take 1 – 2 weeks. After two weeks and three phone calls, I was told by Stephanie they would be ready Saturday by noon. When I arrived at nearly 2, they weren’t ready. That woman is one hot-mess of a sales assistant. Poor thing. But I love the end product, and hope I don’t have to return before she moves on to her next sales failure!

Landmark review: I didn’t realize until reading the Unilocal that the furniture row name is a chain of stores throughout the United States. There is the Oak Express for wood furniture, sofa mart for all your living/dining room needs, and bedroom expressions for your mattress needs. There is ample parking for these three stores. The only downside is the prices are high and the staff are not quite attentive. I was able to walk through all three stores without anyone greeting or even asking if I needed any help.

Given that this place is a giant corporate conglomerate of the Nth degree, I was really, really surprised that the salespeople were actually helpful and friendly, and they actually had some awesome 50% off floor model STEALS(I got 2 bookshelves for like 90 $, perfect condition). The quality of the furniture I bought(all from oak express) was in between what you’d find at target and what you’d find at crate and barrel, and I think it is priced appropriately. Originally I thought the furniture I bought wouldn’t fit in my car, so I asked if I could have it delivered. The salesman I was working with said sure, no problem, and set me up. Then we went out to my car to put in the one small piece I had purchased, and he helpfully measured my back seat and determined that both of the other pieces would fit. The one of the remaining two pieces that was in stock went home with me that day, and the other piece that had to be ordered came in 2 weeks later. When I came in to the store to pick it up, I told another salesperson that I had originally arranged for delivery but was now picking it up and would like to have the delivery fee refunded. I thought this was going to be a big hassle, but the saleswoman said«sure, no problem» and 45 seconds later it was done.
