Two nights in a row, waited at the bar while the male bartenders skipped me for female patron. F u pricks. I dont need this with all the other bars around. Btw june 10 and 112016 were the evenings i was there. Never again.

I cannot say enough good things about this bar. Having moved here a few years ago, The Blind Pig quickly became my favorite bar in CU. As a fan of draft beer, this is the place to go. They have about 20 drafts that rotate from week to week, aside from a few staple beers that are always available. I’m always excited to come in and try something new while I’m there. The atmosphere has a welcoming and cozy feel to it. There’s ample seating that can accommodate all numbers of group sizes. I really like the beer bottles that line the rafters in the ceiling, it gives the bar a unique look in that way. Overall, if you’re looking to get away from your usual mundane light beer this is the place for you. Great beers and great people, what more could you ask for?

Go here. Great outdoor seating, they let you bring your own food or get food delivered. They are always trying something new with their brews and I miss them terribly since moving to the east coast.

I had the Hebrew/She’Brew! This She’brew is a triple IPA. My beverage was served in a small brandy glass and was sunset bronze in color. Additionally, this IPA exemplifies a slight citrus orange flavor on the palate. She’brew’s rich notes comes from flaked oats and an assortment of malts which create bitterness perfectly paired with a little sweetness. I highly recommend it, especially if you want to try something off the beaten path! .

Went to the Blind pig for their happy hour from 4 – 6. Half off drafts! Decent beer selection, though I wished they had more IPAs on tap. Really cool ambiance inside — lots of seating, cool chandeliers, a little dark, but very open. The bartender was struggling to pour our beers apparently because of the Tap lines, which made things a little awkward because he let the beers sit there waiting for the foam to go down for kind of a long time. Cool spot, would go again.

Good beer, no food to order. Questionable atmosphere. Not sure what else to say. It’s a place you can stop by with a friend and talk but no other entertainment

I really don’t like it. Way too dark. Way too full of grad students pretending to be the next Socrates. Go there if beer is the *only* thing you want to drink, and/or if you enjoy sitting in a dark, depressing place. The«Piglet»(the brewery on Neil) is much, much better.

If you like beer, this is the place to be. Wide selection, merry atmosphere, and beer beer beer.

This has to be one of my favorite bars. The wooden and rustic appeal is beautiful and inviting. It just screams long conversation with friends until close. Prefect for catching up with old friends and even dates as well. The craft beer selection is a long list of pure happiness. The prices are reasonable. It’s very cozy and I love that idea.

I’m a more frequent patron at the Blind Pig Brewery on Neil, but this location is usually better suited to the winter months because of the increased indoor space. The whiskey menu is impressive, considering the accompanying draft beer menu and I believe they have a whiskey club on Tuesdays and Wednesday’s, which is an excellent deal for the middle of the week.

This bar is not for you if you want to a drink a domestic, light beer. It’s also not for you if you’re looking for a full bar or club atmosphere. If you want to relax in a cozy atmosphere and drink a craft beer, Blind Pig is for you. Blind Pig regularly has 20ish craft beers on tap. I love that I can order small 4 ounce tasters if I want to try a bunch of different brews. The prices are very reasonable, really cheaper than anywhere else downtown. Often they have tap takeover events where you can have the opportunity to try beers that normally don’t make it to Central Illinois. Craft beer, friends, and a warm and woodsy interior —- you can’t go wrong!

Great selection of craft beers on tap and a nice place to sit and drink with friends. They have a hipster vibe to the place and the bar tenders know what type of beer to recommend to you if you tell them what you like. They do the fancy alcohol content to glass thing so you’ll only get a proper pint with the weaker stuff. Overall I really like this place!

Visited after having dinner downtown. I didn’t get dessert at dinner, but wanted something I could grab and eat a bit later. So we stopped by the bakery next door as you can bring food into The Blind Pig. We stopped at the bar to order. My brother got a beer and I ordered a mixed drink– Bahama Breeze, I believe. According to my bro, most people get beer and no one he has been with orders a mixed drink. I believe him; the bartender didn’t know how to make the drink and had to look up the ingredients on the menu. Luckily, even though she must not be too experienced making it, the drink was pretty good. You can sit around the bar, in the next room, or outside. We opted for the next room at a booth. It was nice and warm, but also very dark. There are darts in this room if want extra entertainment. Bathrooms are right by the darts.

Ugh. Good luck getting served in less than 20 minutes. Just… ugh. However, it is a very cool layout. Maybe they should have more than two bartenders on a warm Friday evening — or at least have bartenders that make eye contact with thirsty patrons that are waiting.

Fantastic place to get a drink whether that’s with a peer, professor, date, whatever. Drinks are great, craft beers are awesome, space is conducive to chatting(though it can get a bit loud sometimes), and the bartenders are all really friendly. The only downside is that there’s no food– but there are so many other options right next door that this is rarely ever actually a problem.

I am a big fan of all things Blind Pig. I like the environment, although this location could use a light dusting. The patio is great and they brew some great beer. They do not serve food, but you can bring your own and enjoy inside or out.

If you want a place that is great to sit down, talk with your friends without the fear of being drowned out by loud music. This is the place. If you want a place where the bartenders are more than happy to chat, more than happy to help discuss choices of beer with you(especially if you are a fledgling beer drinker) – then this is the place. If you want a place with a large variety of beer options – both draught and bottled? This is the place. Also, if you want a bar that harkens back to a wooden pubby almost German-esque kind of bar look. This is also the place! My brother and I dropped by to The Blind Pig on a Monday night. It was a quiet time, but the bartenders were very attentive and you could tell all the guests were having fun with them. I just started my venturing into beer a few months ago so when the bartender asked for our orders, I still had no idea what I wanted. But the barkeep and I went through the kind of beers I’ve tried and liked in the past and immediately he was able to draw up a sample of their beer that I just ADORED.(The Duchess – super awesome sour beer if you like the monastery-type beers like I do). Our time at the Blind Pig was very relaxed, very chill, and overall a very fun time. Now if only they served food… haha luckily Mary Ann’s Diner is just down the road.

Went in the early evening for the first time here. Good atmosphere — older but with character. HUGE selection of craft beers on tap and bottled. This is just a bar though — so no food. Only downside — they don’t carry/sell their own beer from the Blind Pig Brewery which was kind of a let down.

Cool spot to have a drink and a cigar on the patio! Met the owner on the way out the door the other night and he was a super nice guy; I’ll definitely be back every time I’m in town. And on a side note, the beer that these guys are making is incredible, they should bottle it!

Easily has become my favorite spot. I tried the spot the first time around and kinda put off, but then my boston beer connoisseur friend said this place was suppose to be the bomb. I tried again and I totally fell in love with the place, Andy and Wynter. For those that hate red bull taste but want a pick me up ask for a Wynter’s breeze. Da bomb. The best thing about this place? An old lady can put up her stinky ass feet and feel good about herself.
