My daughter had the Orange and Chocolate Gluten Free cake for their wedding and all I can say is, if you want one, get one soon before the FDA finds out how utterly wonderful they are and starts regulating them! It was THAT great! Also, the mini– Gluten Free cupcakes were wonderful in all 3 flavors that we had(vanilla, salted chocolate something and chocolate). Yum! Thank you!

First, the shop is SODARNCUTE. It’s perfect for a little coffee date or just to work on stuff you’ve been putting off all week. The first time I went, I had a cupcake, their lemon blackberry I believe. Although they tasted good, the texture was a little dry and it felt like they had been sitting out all day. But still, I kept hearing great things and I came in again to try a red velvet the next time! Still dry. Definitely not worth it for the $$ they charge for just one cupcake. Their coffee is great, and honestly I’ll probably be back to try their icecream when it gets a little warmer. They’ve also re-done the menu since the last time I was there. TD;DR5⁄5 ambiance, 5⁄5 service, 2⁄5 cupcakes

Prices are steep for the portion sizes as well as for the kind of food– flour, sugar, etc. I can’t speak for the quality of the chocolate, flavorings, cream, but depending on that the price may or may not be justified. Nevertheless, the cupcakes are pretty and taste great. I usually get red velvet or dark chocolate(mostly because I default to chocolate and haven’t seen any interesting seasonals in my years here nor do they offer much choice). It looks like they use cacao nibs for the red velvet which is great. It’s true– the cupcakes do get stale as the day wears on. The cream does develop a shell. It would be reasonable to slash prices after, say, 6. However, I’ve never had a truly dry cupcake as other reviews mentioned. The giant pistachio macarons are yummy. Considering how involved macarons are, I think the $ 5+ price tag is somewhat justified. I’ve tried their gummy candies as well but I found those to be unremarkable. The atmosphere is stellar. Really well-designed.

The cupcakes were very tasty but small. For the money you pay you don’t even get a full size cupcake. It would be nice if they wore gloves when handling your food!

This sweet shop is decorated adorably and is one of the cutest places to stop by in the Champaign area. However, their cupcakes fell short of my expectations. They don’t have a large selection, so I picked red velvet and walked out super underwhelmed by the taste… A few weeks later I tried some sort of brownie which was much better than the cupcake, but still not to die for. If you’re looking for an adorable atmosphere and a nice cup of coffee, check this place out.

The giant macarons are so cute and seriously so good. Perfect combo of chewy and crunchy. Love all the cupcakes with their cream cheese or vanilla frosting. Of all the cupcake shops in even the Chicago land area, Cream & Flutter is still my favorite. Luckily I still have a few friends that live here so I have more reason to visit Champaign other than getting my sweet fix at C&F :)

I think this bakery is so charming and I wanted my cupcake to be just as tasty. I’ve been to cream and flutter about 10 times and I’m just kind of underwhelmed with the treats. Their French press coffee is perfect, the cupcake frosting has a great balance of sweetness and flavor, it’s just the cake that always seems to be dry. I don’t know if they had been sitting out awhile or what, but every time I am a bit disappointed. I love cupcakes, so I’ll keep trying.

Very cute bakery when we visited champaign. Nice décor, vintage and welcoming when you walk in. Cupcakes on tiered platters, pastel colors around. A bit pricey, but good cupcakes. Would definitely go back next time we are in town. Seems to be a favorite in town. Located in an area with other small shops and restaurants.

No dessert a Farren’s but wanted something sweet to end my night. Referred to good olé’ Unilocal and found that Cream & Flutter would still be open when we finished up. I was nervous when we entered since there wasn’t a huge selection of cupcakes. There was a few chocolate, one red velvet, and a number of pumpkin spice. Perhaps I had gotten there earlier in the day, there would have been more of a selection. Red velvet was the only one I would want. Luckily, only woman in the group of 4 – 5 in front of me was ordering and she picked chocolate. So I nabbed the last red velvet. Took it to go and ate it at home. It was a bit dry on the outside, but nice on the inside. I thought that the cupcake lacked flavor, but the icing was very lovely. Note: my brother says that the oreo brownie is quite good.

I feel like maybe because I read all these reviews raving about how good this place is my expectations were wayy too high and that lead to me being slightly disappointed when I actually visited the place. My cupcake was more towards the dry side and the latté wasn’t that special either. What I did love about the place however was its ambiance and décor. Apart from that it really didn’t stand out for me in any way.

I’ve had multiple cupcakes including the red velvet and the strawberry, as well as the red velvet macaroon. The macaroon is AMAZING! The cupcakes were good as well. Very cool environment to sit and hang around. My girlfriend and I went there a few times when we first started dating as little«dates». Only downside may be a bit overpriced but not too much to keep me from going!

I love this place so much. Never found another bakery that comes close and I’ve tried multiple bakeries in the Chicago suburbs and even downtown. Cupcakes are super moist and the frosting is unbelievable. Plus I love the atmosphere of the whole place! I always get a red velvet every time I go here and the chocolate macaron. Plus they have great coffee and tea! A must try in Champaign.

I’ve had Georgetown cupcakes multiple times and I honestly can say I like these cupcakes better. I got the mocha cupcake and I wish they sweetened the frosting more, it just tastes like butter. The actual cake was so delicious. 5⁄5

The cupcakes are good, but not the best. I might have some high standard because I’ve tried Molly’s in Chicago, and Sprinkles in Dallas. But Cream and Flutter definitely has good cup cakes along with GREAT coffee. The pour over coffee it what will Brian me back to this place, it perfectly compliments the sweet cupcakes.

A friend suggested that we stop by to do a cupcake sampling and I was not disappointed! I fell inlove with this cute little café/bakery :) They have the best cupcakes and make some pretty creative cakes as well! Also, if you have dogs, check out their dog biscuits — mine love them!

It was a sunny, spring day in Champaign, and after a quick lunch at Café Kopi, I spotted Cream and Flutter across the street and thought it sounded like a place that might have some sweets for me. Upon consulting Unilocal,I was surprised to see I had been there 6 years ago, though back then, this place was called Cakes on Walnut. Unilocal is one super handy library for all your past fooding et al excursions, if you didn’t realize! I wasn’t in a buttercream mood, so I asked which of the 5 cupcakes(including strawberry lemonade and white chocolate raspberry) on display didn’t have that type of frosting. Of the red velvet and vanilla, I chose the vanilla. The giant pinwheel macarons called to me, so I walked away with a pistachio one. I wouldn’t return for the cupcake(the frosting was too sugary and sweet), but that macaron was heaven! Cookie portion was chewy in a good way, and the filling was a smooth, not overly greasy or oily buttercream. Turns out I had buttercream on that day in the end. I’ll be back for another macaron!

I hate to say this, but out of all of the cupcakeries I’ve tried, Cream & Flutter is my least favorite. From frosting to cake… very disappointing. Maybe I should go for a cookie next time?

Mixed feelings about this place. Sometimes the cupcakes are a bit on the dry side. The only cupcake I’ve really liked is the fig mascarpone. That was pretty flavorful but otherwise… they haven’t had as much flavor, texture that I like in cupcakes. It’s okay but not a place I really am super excited about.
