I will not give this practice one star. A chipped front tooth was repaired and fell out within a year. Later, I called to make an appointment and was literally denied for a no show appt. that had been resolved. His office staff, namely the receptionist he has had for a long time, is absolutely the most disrespectful person; rude beyond reason for no discernable reason. I complained to Dr. Patterson and in addition had the friend who referred me tell him how unreasonable I had been treated in his front office. There was absolutely no reconciliation of the matter. Excellent dentistry can be found on every other block. Why go to a practice that clearly will not make amends for a mistake or repair poor dental work? Yes, Dr. Patterson’s demeanor is caring but his staff is deplorable. I found an outstanding dentist to correct Dr. Patterson’s work for a reasonable price with my dental insurance. I suggest finding an office that will treat you like a respectful human being. Btw, I was VERY nice and still treated very poorly.

*Update* my last two appointments here have been shockingly bad. The second to last time I went in I was in the chair getting my cleaning and I heard swearing and fighting down the hall. I asked if that was from in the office and the hygienist was clearly embarrassed and said she wasn’t sure. Then it got louder. The dentist’s wife was yelling at him from her office. So unprofessional. However, because I really liked the hygienist I came back this last time only to find she had quit. The dentist himself is fine but every time I come in he says the exact same thing– essentially, my teeth are in great shape and he wouldn’t recommend anything. But then he goes on this 15 minute speech about a mouth guard(which I already have and use). It’s almost like he is disappointed that he doesn’t have anything to up sell me on. The icing on the cake was the last time I was there he described me as «middle-aged». I’m 32. Coming from anyone else Id find that hilarious. But it made me feel like he doesn’t even look at my chart or pay attention to me. Especially since he repeats himself to me every time I come in. Guess it’s time for a new dentist.

Very pleased. The decision to have a tooth actually pulled is a tough one to make, and is not one to make lightly. Dr. Patterson did his best to try to talk me out of it(that’s good), but I really didn’t have a choice budget-wise. The tooth was broken and it had decayed to the point to where I had an abscess. He quoted me a price of a grand for a root canal and a crown – that’s a great price, but still much much too high for me at this time. He charged about $ 250 for the extraction, which was in my budget. Because the tooth was a molar, it wasn’t going to be as much of an issue losing it as it would be any of the teeth in front. Great, careful, attentive work. After the procedure was done(and Dr. Patterson worked hard to make it as painless as possible), I got a prescription for a painkiller and an antibiotic. I healed up very quickly. I have been in the Valley now for about a year and a half and can finally say that I have a dentist. Finding a good one can be tough. If you’re looking for one, let me recommend M&M Dentistry to you.
