Our server was top-notch, but much of our experience here was MEH. It was the morning of a major snowstorm, and we ventured out for a last hot meal before hunkering down. Schools were out, and many folks decided to eat here, so the place was busy — but there was no line other than the one that formed because of the sluggish seating host, who never smiled. My husband’s request for scrambled eggs well-done ended with runny eggs that were promptly replaced. Bacon and hash browns were not great, and my omelet featured almost-raw, crunchy onions that had to be scraped out. It was a 3-egg omelet; I believe they used quail eggs, because it was very small. We won’t be going back.

On a recent trip I received great service. They decorated my daughter’s pancake and she loved it. My pancakes were great and they kindly substituted toast for sausage or bacon since I didn’t want meat. I prefer this restaurant to IHOP.

Pickup breakfast for the guys. Place was packed but they got me in and out quickly. Even offered me a cup of joe.

Waited 30 minutes to be seated, when half of the tables were empty. Was told they were short of waitresses. Every time we eat here they are«short of waitresses». Once seated it takes about 10 minutes to place your order, then at least 25 minutes to get your food. The managers do not care.

So we came to eat breakfast Saturday morning. I’d give it 3.5 stars overall. The food was ok I got the french toast which is probably my favorite of french toasts of the breakfast places I frequent. However the food, was warm bordering on room temp, and the service took a while with coffee refills and getting the check. However, I am pretty patient when it comes to that stuff after being a waitress many, many years ago. It seem liked the wait staff was short a person or two with the volume of people who were coming in. Although I still would come back because I really love their french toast that much and their prices are pretty reasonable.

Nice greeting like you’d expect at a Bob Evans. Waitress was good to start and then ignored us for the remainder. Food was up at 20 minutes after we ordered but didn’t get it for another 10 while she flirted with another table. When I asked about our food she was flip and then stalled with an attitude including bringing out biscuits for two other tables while our cold food baked under the warming lights. Terrible service!

Nostalgia all the way. My family and I used to go to Bob Evans all the time when I was a kid. This is the place dad brought us, as a special treat for weekend breakfast and sometimes dinner. This isn’t the same location as the one we used to go to as kids, but it’s a chain and so its incredibly similar. The host(also the manager?) was friendly and quick to seat us on a Saturday for breakfast. I’ve been to this location twice now and both times had Zufan as our server. She is the best! Super friendly, personable, professional, and attentive. We didn’t have to ask for extra napkins or refills on our drinks. She always had us covered. She makes our visits to Bob Evans that much more enjoyable. The food was good and incredibly filling. We enjoyed ourselves. I love their biscuits and am sad that they don’t give complimentary biscuits, rolls, and sliced banana nut bread like they used to. I’m guessing they needed to cut food costs. They sell their banana nut bread at the cashier along with plenty of other sweet treats. When you’re finished with your meal, take your receipt to the cashier at the front and pay there.

We went here with my boyfriend’s mother and grandmother for breakfast on Sunday 02/15/2015. This place is our new favorite breakfast restaurant. A nice alternative to IHOP. We have found that almost every time we come here we have had good service and have not had to wait as long as we have at Cracker Barrel in Manasass for a table to accommodate our party. The food is really good and tastes a lot fresher than IHOP. The food is supposedly«farm fresh» and local. It does taste that way. Their coffee is really good, and we always seem to have a good experience here. I would recommend if you are tired of IHOP and do not want to wait for Cracker Barrel, for a good Sunday Breakfast spot.

I grew up on Bob Evans as a go to place for breakfasts and even dinner as a kid. It saddens me to see that this place has changed so much in 30 years that they no longer know how to even make eggs. Recently we went here for breakfast and I asked for poached eggs. They brought out an over cooked sunny side up egg with the edges very crispy and fried up and insisted that it was poached. I looked at them incredulously and said, that’s ok. That certainly not a poached egg and I don’t want to eat it. A week later, my girl friend and I met in Stafford for breakfast. and its either iHop or Bob Evans, so again… here we went. I asked the server for a poached egg and she looked at me and said, «we don’t poach eggs here.» LOL. At least she was honest about the fact that they don’t do poached eggs. The restaurant got an overhaul in trying to update its image. However, it fails to deliver on the quality of food. Essentially service is a hit or miss. It was a hit in Stafford, a miss in Chantilly. Will I go back? Probably not. Especially since I found Ted’s Bulletin in Reston…

So, we went to this location at 9:00pm. They close at 10, so we didn’t think it would be too close to time. We took a moment to order, but once we did, the server never came back. She charged for a hot chocolate and soda. That she NEVER refilled. It may have been rude, but we stacked the cups just to see if she’d notice. Nope. Didn’t even offer. After about 35 minutes, we just gave up. A friend in our party ordered the chicken pot pie. The salad and biscuits never came out. My friend politely asked. The server continued to argue that a salad didn’t come with it. «But ugh, what dressing do you want anyway?». Worst service I’ve ever had anywhere. I do understand this is Bob Evans. Don’t people come here for constancy? You couldn’t even refill?! …our food came out after about 35 minutes. They had to «reheat the soup for a minute». I should have just said no. Sadly my reheated soup was the best out of all the food. She never returned after the food(which was maybe the second time she came back). But then hopped over and had no problem slamming the check to the table. I guess she did say «Sorry for the problems» quickly, but shit. I realize people have bad nights. I realize we were laughing when you came up. But guess what, Susan? We were only giggling a little because our friend was being silly and we actually felt bad that he confused you by ordering«5 slices of French toast» instead of an actual meal. — I hope you get happy, Susan.

I have been here in the mornings and the service is amazing. But I have been here a few times after 8 am the service just sucks. Food is cold and the servers just flat out suck. I waited around 30 min till someone came to my table and after they took my order I never seen her again till I got my food. I told her I needed a refill along with 3 others with me and she refilled our drinks and never showed back up. I will not come here at all after the morning shift starts to show up. This is by far the worst place ever. WILLNOTGOBACK

You don’t come to Bob Evans for filet mignon, you come for breakfast(good sausage) or you come for comfort food. The service here is decent, everyone is friendly, and sometimes you just want some good pot roast.

The service at this Bob Evans location is consistently slow at breakfast(I do not know about other times of the day) This is great if you want to have a leisurely meal, but if you would like to get in and out in a reasonable amount of time, you may want to go somewhere else. The food is good(not great), but we have recently experienced several time when only a partial order was delivered, and the remaining items trickled out from the kitchen, or not at all.

Sometimes I really crave sausage gravy and biscuits and I have to come here. Last time I made the mistake of ordering a crêpe, which came with some thick goopy bright purple«blueberry» topping. No. Sausage gravy and biscuits is where it’s at! Service is weird sometimes but generally the wait isn’t too bad even when the wait area is packed. I would recommend not trying to split checks at the register as well.

Sausage gravy and biscuits! Bob Evans does these well. There is something comforting about a hot, split biscuit topped with creamy, hearty sausage gravy. Add an over easy egg and some cheddar cheese and you have breakfast nirvana. Not something you can eat every day if you value your health at all, but good for a comfort food splurge now and then. When my husband asked me if I was up for breakfast out last Sunday, I jumped at the chance knowing full well what I would order before I walked in. This visit started out oddly. We asked to be seated at the counter, mostly because it’s easier for us to chat. The host pushed a booth very hard, but finally acquiesced and led us to the counter. No one was sitting there, but it had not been cleared and there were trays and server’s drinks that had to be moved. I suppose that is why the booth was pushed. Our server greeted us quickly and got us the water we asked for, but then we waited and waited. She was busy running out food, but there were several other people to include managers behind the counter who never once acknowledged the fact we were sitting there waiting to order. About 10 – 15 minutes later our server returned and seemed surprised no one had helped us. Good thing we were in no rush. She took our order and I have to say our food came out piping hot and quickly. General observations — although the restaurant was not overly busy, tables were not bussed quickly and we heard the manager constantly telling servers to bus tables. The women’s restaurant was not sparkling, but it was clean enough. According to my husband, the men’s was filthy and looked as if it had not been cleaned in months. Service and staff seemed awfully disorganized. I’ll return to Bob Evans because every now and again I have to have their biscuits and gravy, but I am hoping management can work on the service and cleanliness issues.

I haven’t been to a Bob Evans in years, and this is my first visit to this location. I had an early morning meeting, at the ungodly time of 6am and my coworkers decided Bob Evens was quiet, local and NOT Ihop. Three of the four of us arrived together, walked in, and were greeting by the manager standing across the room. He asked how many, we told him four, he grabbed the menus and gave us a «nod». We sort of chuckled and assumed that was his way of asking us to follow him. We sat down and were immediately greeted by our server who took our drink orders. Once I ordered coffee she reached over to the next table and started to restock our sugar caddy by pulling out packets from one and putting them in together. Not necessarily a «bad» thing… but it did seem odd to us, why not just put the full one on the table? Our order came out hot and accurately, except for the steak and eggs someone had ordered. That was delivered about 5 minutes later. I had the Sunshine Skillet, which is essentially a thinly cooked egg in the bottom of the bowl, topped with potatoes, sausage, gravy and cheese. It was quite delicious. I opted for the buttermilk biscuits as my bread choice — I’m glad I did, this was by far the best part of the meal. Everyone seemed to enjoy the food, all our plates were cleared. I am not a fan of servers bringing the check during the meal itself. Literally 5 minutes after our entrees were delivered, so was the check, it made us all chuckle again — I felt we were quite rushed. The service was prompt and friendly(minus the delay in one entrees delivery, but that isn’t our servers fault). The table and seats were clean, but the partition that divides the tables needs a thorough scrubbing as it is covered in dust. The bathrooms are clean with the exception of the floors, it felt like I was walking on syrup. Overall, I would be back here if the need ever arises. It’s a pretty quiet place for a quick morning meeting.

I stopped here for a quick bite to eat before a morning meeting. I was able to get a table rather quickly. Once the waiter brought my menu to me I really felt a little bit rushed. I ordered my drink and he wasn’t gone even 2 minutes and came back and asked if I was ready to order. So I went ahead and ordered pancakes. The food was brought out and they were hot and tasted really good. It was refreshing to have food I could actually eat unlike a prior breakfast I went to. Despite the fact of feeling a little bit rushed the experience was a good one.

Bob Evans is a nation-wide chain so why review it? I like to call out unusually good or bad perspectives with copies of chain restaurants. This copy of Bob Evans is noteworthy for exceptionally good parking, friendly service and extremely busy weekends. We’ve been to this location 2 – 3 times over the last couple years and have always found the food satisfactory — just that. Do not come here looking for gourmet food, just basic food done right. Typically they’re able to pass on savings by limiting their dishes to the minimums — which is not at all bad if that’s what you’re looking for. On a philosophical note, I think that restaurants executing basic food very well is an underrated metric. Like everyone, I love new, new-to-me, and exciting food, but here’s giving Bob Evan’s props where they’re do — doing basic food A-OK.

I frequent this place for some good sausage gravey. Their biscuits are soft and warm, I could eat 10, but we all know that wouldn’t be a good idea. Everything I get here comes out just right. It makes me wonder why I’ve gone to other places to eat break fast. I love their chocolate chip pancakes and this is the place… other than when I make it because we all know I makes some good ones ;) I’ve tried almost everything on the breakfast menu, their coutry fried steak is great too. Can’t go wrong with this place
