I’m giving this place 4 stars for the Great service, the Great prices! And the food! Very friendly and attentive staff, The food was good actually, I order a few things the nachos and wings $ 6 each Amazing deal! Huge portions! I love eating and I love huge portions lol I order the Thai glaze wings, it was crispy and delicious, and the nachos had beans, guacamole and sour cream it was so good! Again the price! It was a bargain. It was happy hour 4 – 8 everyday. I didn’t drink but the beers were $ 2.

When you keep into perspective the type of establishment you’re visiting, you base your rating on what you’re working with. With that being said, this is a restaurant connected to a Holiday Inn that has exceptionally good happy hour specials and pretty good food. I have yet to experience the dining area, so my rating is solely for the bar area. Service is always prompt and friendly, has that neighborhood bar feel to it. It can get crowded at times, especially when there are events scheduled at the nearby Dulles Expo. Recommend the spinach artichoke dip — it’s my go to appetizer and the sweet potato fries are delicious!

Thai Steak Salad and Chef Salad(w/ham, turkey, egg, Provalone & Chedar cheeses, fresh romaine) made for great luncheon. Great wine selection for reasonable price.

Great food for the price, had the bacon cheeseburger and it was good. The atmosphere in the bar area was mostly quiet during the game on Sunday night. Would go again. Service was great as well.

I had a week long business trip and stayed at the Holiday Inn where this restaurant is located so I decided to give them a try. The first night I ordered the Chicken Chesapeake, that dish was amazing so I decided that I would return to give the menu a good try. The next day for lunch I have the Mushroom and Swiss burger. The burger was very good. That night for supper I ordered the 10oz pork chops. This is the reason why Bob O’s is not getting a five star rating from me. When the plate arrived, it had two small thin bone-in pork chops that together may have weighed 7oz. These chops had a really good seasoning, but were so tough that you couldn’t eat them. Since the other things were good, I did decide to return to try other options. The ribeye steak was extremely good. Good flavor and cooked perfect. I had three breakfasts and they were good also. They also had a kicking happy hour. Well worth the trip if you are looking for something to eat, but I would question the pork chop to see if it was«a 10oz chop» before ordering.

I would give a negative star if I could. Do not eat here. I have been here a few times for drinks and while they do have cheap happy hour specials, it isn’t worth it. Tonight we ordered dinner and it was the worst experience ever. I ordered the bistro steak and when it came out it smelt like rancid roadkill. I swear that is no exaggeration, it was awful. A gentleman at the bar even commented on how the smell ruined his appetite and left without ordering food. My husband wouldn’t even touch the plate and when we called the waitress over she couldn’t even smell the plate it was that bad. The manager and staff appologized and said they threw the meat out, but I can’t believe the cooks made this food and that the runner actually brought it out! My husband didn’t even eat his meal because he was so nauseas. I can’t imagine how that kitchen is ran. Do not eat their food. The worst part? The manager only removed my meal from the check despite the whole debacle. Don’t eat here and I even caution you on drinking here. If they cooked rancid meat and brought it to a customer, imagine their dishwasher and cleanliness with even the drinks.

Meh… for breakfast, cant get fruit as a side without and up charge. This place would not stay in business without the hotel. Hotel provides $ 12 breakfast voucher and a $ 2 service fee and tax is taken from that $ 12. Most items are $ 8 – 9. Food quality is good minus the fruit issue.

I have to update my review again. This bar continues to exceed my expectations. Their food quality has definitely improved since my last couple of reviews and their customer service is good. The wait staff here are fast and they know how to please their customers. I was here once when the cc machine was down and had to withdraw cash from not-my-bank hotel ATM to pay for my check. I left frustrated and didn’t go back for a couple of months. The next time I went in, my server remembered the incident and personally bought me a beer — she wasn’t even the one on our table the night the system was down. Small gestures like that are what keeps me pleased and loyal. They have cool dinner specials for $ 9.99 from 4 – 7 pm on the weekdays. Just take a look at the specials board when you walk in and you will see everything they have available.

This review is strictly for the server Chung Hi. One of the best servers I’ve ever experienced. Long time since I gave a 50% tip.

Made the mistake of coming here after church with my family and there were about 20 red flags as to why we should have left after walking through the door. First off when we walked in, there was no host/hostess nor were there any other customers. My aunt and I stood at the entrance with her yelling out«hello?» for a bit before I just started walking around the restaurant looking for someone. I finally found someone, «Betty» and asked if we should just seat ourselves, she ignored me and then pointed to the booths. We told her we had 4 more people coming and she just looked at us wide-eyed and scared before combining two tables. She seated my aunt and I, and then left. After a few minutes passed, and no sign of her, I went to look for some menus since she hadn’t brought us any. She finally came back and brought us water then left again. I got up and grabbed my own straw. We looked over our menus. Someone at the table asked what kind of fish they used in the fish and chips, Betty explained that she was in training and would have to go ask. We didn’t have a problem with that, in fact we greatly appreciated it as opposed to her just saying«I don’t know, I’m new». She did so, and when she came back, there was another question about what types of dressing they had for their salads. She said«lots of them, ranch, honey mustard and lots more». Not really a sufficient answer, but we cut her some slack since she was«still in training», however, I still think that if you’re going to throw a new waitress out on the floor, she should have at least SOME knowledge and confidence in the menu. Finally, we all ordered. I asked for the Chicken Cesar Salad Wrap(7.99) and to substitute salmon for chicken — she hesitated and let me know there would probably be a small upcharge. I said that was fine, the menu said salmon was 10.99. A few minutes after she disappeared to put our order in, she came back to inform me that my wrap would be 10.99 in addition to the 7.99. I asked why that was seeing as I was SUBSTITUTING the chicken for salmon, not adding on the salmon in addition to the chicken. She didn’t really have an answer, so I told her that I could speak to someone else and followed her to the back. I spoke with another man(not sure if he was the manager, I didn’t catch his name, but he was Asian). I asked why I would be charged for both the chicken and the salmon if I was only getting salmon. I even had a fair solution: The menu said to add on chicken is 4.99, so they should just charge me the difference of about 6 bucks. The Asian man then started giving me some BS reason as to why he was not going to do that, SHOOKTHEMENUATME and said«NONONOIT’S NOTCALCULATEDLIKETHAT» Appalled by his reaction and seeing that he was not going to oblige, I decided to just change my order to the«world famous crab cakes»(according to their menu). As we sat and waited for our food to come out. I noticed another couple come in and awkwardly wait at the door just as we did. I fought the urge to tell them to just leave. After a few minutes, they too grabbed their own menus and picked a spot. 30 minutes later, our food came out. After our food was dumped at the table, that was the last we saw of any sort of employee. Those«world famous crab cakes» were bland at best, but edible. Eventually, someone at the table wanted BBQ sauce. She waived her hand around trying to grab someones attention, but no one came. I finally got up, walked INTO the kitchen and asked if we could have some brought to our table. About 5 minutes later, it finally came. After we were all done, the bill came with gratuity already added to the total. I reluctantly watched my dad pay it, then we were on our way. Everything that happened while I was there is what I’d include in the«How to Not Make Money or Attract Customers» Handbook. I guess they have no desire to attract new customers since they probably get most of their business from Holiday Inn clients. I guess the moral of the story is: Don’t come here unless you hate good customer service.

Happy Hour earns 5 stars! Cheap drinks, alright selection. If you only like craft beer this is probably not the place for you. The food is good, but not 5 star good. The tacos on taco Tuesday are generous and you can easily mix/mach the ingredients. The wings are good as well. The servers in the bar can get swamped as happy hour is usually pretty packed. I personally feel the bar is understaffed. one or two extra tenders or a dedicated server would really help here. Just be patient with them and they will get to you! Good for a quick place to stop to wait out traffic or have a few drinks with friends/coworkers. I will definitely be back!

My first thought before entering Bob O’s was that I was isolated and standing in front of the gloomiest hotel I’ve ever seen. It didn’t make for a very good first impression. However, I had a surprisingly good time. The happy hour specials were great, and the quesadilla was very tasty! Two things that could have been better: more servers and more room(or better table arrangement). They were understaffed for a bar that was completely packed. Also, the placement of the tables/chairs were very awkward as some of the chairs were placed in the aisle. There was not enough room to comfortably walk through, and my boyfriend was jostled by every person walking by. Now we know where to NOT sit next time. All in all, a decent place for happy hour and we’ll be stopping by again soon.

I travel a lot and I’m generally not a fan of hotel restaurants. If I eat/drink at one it’s generally because there is nothing else close and I’m too tired to drive. Bob’s is in a Holiday Inn that is surrounded by fast food and a Hooters.
So I took my tired self and wandered in. This place does not feel like a hotel restaurant but more like a freestanding neighborhood place. I sat at the bar and it was jumping. Their Happy Hour is astounding for a hotel! Some beers were $ 2 and house wine for $ 3! The menu here is huge and once again not typical hotel. Much has been said about the quesadillas and I planned to order them until the guy next to me received his. It was a huge plate and would feed a family of four! They looked great but just too big for me at the time. I opted for a BLACKENEDCHICKENSALAD for about $ 10. They chicken was moist and spicy and the greens were fresh. It was a very good salad. My bartender was excellent and I received great customer service. If I was comparing Bob’s to other freestanding restaurants I’d give them three stars. However they deserve to be compared to other hotel restaurants and in that world I’ll give them four.

My friends and I had actually planned on going to Hooters for dinner(around 6:00 pm) but when we got there they were closing because their hot water wasn’t working or something… that’s why we decided to go next door to Bob O’s. Bob O’s is attached to the hotel. We walked in and there was no one in the dining area. Everyone was at the bar. I didn’t really care for the décor and it was kind of dark in there but I care more about the food. We sat in the booth in the dining area and were greeted promptly. We had a great server. He was friendly and seemed super happy. I ordered their jumbo wings which I thought were quite tasty. My friends got sandwiches and burgers and they seemed to have liked their food too. They have great happy hour specials until 8:00 pm. Domestic drafts were $ 2. The manager checked in on us a couple of times and another guy was refilling our drinks. I love the team work and customer service. The wings I ordered were $ 9.99 and when I got my tab it was only $ 6. I guess it was part of the happy hour! Overall, I liked the place and will have no problem coming back.
