Thank you for kindly greeting my husband and I for dinner. The customer service was great, we could feel how happy you were to serve us as customers. Best General Tso chicken around!!!

I was actually very happy with this place. The prices are very reasonable, they also have lunch specials. It is family style so the portions are big enough for 2 or 3.

You guys get one star for your less than expected customer service. I’m on a conquest to find the best Chinese food out there. In the interest of integrity this place had the best hot & sour soup so far in the Stone Ridge area. The sesame shrimp was good but not portioned well. The egg rolls were over fried. And of course. The fried rice. No egg, peas, nor carrots. So I called them up because this is the 2nd restaurant that has done this with fried rice. They said that a big pot is made and what’s left is left. They said if I want fried rice to order it as a side. What great customer service. Own up to it. Apologize and make up for it next round. Nah. They went with an explanation and said don’t expect sides unless you order it. Showing a pic of what you’ll get with no apologies. Regret the $ 5 tip. That’s all

So hit or miss! We’ve eaten in the restaurant and had really good Kung Pao Chicken. Then we’ve ordered take out and it was absolutely gross. We ordered Beef & Broccoli. The sauce was so salty and had no other flavor, super slimy and quite frankly there was only 7 bite sized pieces of beef and the entire dinner entrée was filled with broccoli in this yucky sauce.(I’ve included a photo). Really disappointing. The staff is only a few people and it’s so inconsistent, it seems like a waste to go there hoping it will be a good night. =(

I go here a few times a month & have never had a bad experience. Eating in or getting it to go, always good. Great place for your Chinese food craving!

Have ordered delivery twice from Kirin Asian Café and while the food was decent both times, the expected times for delivery were inaccurate. The first time, my wife and I were quoted 45 minutes and while my wife was calling them for an update, the driver knocked on the door. That took 60 minutes. The second was«50 – 55 minutes» and after 1:15, we called for an update. All the hostess could tell us was that the food was not in the kitchen and was eager to get off the phone. That’s very unhelpful. The food eventually came after 90 minutes. That 50% error and the lack of trying to help us out mean that we will not be ordering from this place again.

One of the better Chinese restaurants in the South Riding area. First of all, there are too many in South Riding, but this place is always consistent. It’s clean and staff are nice for the most part. I have ordered delivery and ate at the restaurant before. The only thing I don’t like is that when I order dishes like hunan chicken/beef/pork or szechuan beef… it’s consisted of about 75% vegetables and 25% meat. By the time I take a scoop or two I’m searching for meat and weeding out the vegetables. While I love all my veggies, I would like a better ratio than that. Not only in dishes like this though, when you order to go, I always feel like the jip you off a bit :/ Their orange chicken is always on point as their generals tso chicken. Their beef dishes such as hunan beef, szechuan beef, and beef and broccoli can get a bit too salty sometimes so I have to drink lots of water or have a lot of rice with it.

Ordered carry out before I was on my way to work today. I just ordered crab rangoons and spring rolls. The asian lady that answered the phone was the same one that handed me my food. She was kinda rude on the phone and when I asked her for some sauce she rolled her eyes and said it was already in there. Food was good but she didn’t have to be rude. My family orders from here everytime we want Chinese but I doubt I will be coming in and ordering food myself again.

I am still on my mission to find good a stellar Chinese place that delivers to my office in Chantilly. There are some pretty decent options, but I’ve yet to find some place that knocks my socks off! Kirin Asian Café has some pros and cons. Pros — employees are really nice, the delivery is super-fast and they take special request. A co-worker wanted to substitute the white sauce for brown and I wanted my General Tso’s super spicy and without broccoli, they were happy to accommodate. Cons — smaller portions compared to other delivery places around and the food tends to be a bit greasier than I would like. I usually wrap my spring roll in a napkin for about 10 minutes before I eat it. I’ve had their Singapore Rice Noodles as well, they were good, packed to the brim with veggies and meat which is really nice to see, only suggestion on this dish — the curry was very grainy. It would be been much better if the curry powder had been dissolved in the sauce and not just tossed with the noodles. Overall — not a bad place. It’s in our lunch rotation because the whole office is pretty happy with the food.

I am really torn on this restaurant. They do many things well, but they have lots of room for improvement… What I like: Their Kung Pao chicken is properly prepared with no carrots or celery as filler. Just protein, peppers and peanuts. And they will gladly accommodate any variations in spiciness(greater or lesser). I also like their take on calamari Gently fried in a tempura batter and served on a bed of crispy noodles and peppers. Wonderful! What I don’t like: Their prices have increased over the years and they now seem to be among the more expensive Chinese restaurants in the area. Six dollars for pot stickers? Yikes! Thee dollars for two greasy egg rolls? No thank you! Worst of all, on more than one occasion I have ordered their ‘Steak and Scallop in Sizzling Hot Pot’ — and discovered ONLY2 scallops in the dish. And upon further inspection, it was ONE scallop that had been sliced in half!!! If I am paying for a seafood dish, I expect to receive more than one pathetic scallop for the prices they are charging. I sure hope they get their house in order, because I have had some enjoyable meals here.

Best Chinese take-out in South Riding. For soup, we like their won-ton and hot and sour. We also like their fried rice, lo mein, sesame shrimp, triple delight, and General Tso’s chicken. They offer delivery or pickup and have indoor seating, too. It is hard to turn a profit in this neck of the woods and I would be very sad to see them go out of business. They are family-owned.

The people are great, the interior is great, and the food is some of the best Chinese around. I’ve ordered food for pickup on occasion and sometimes just eat it there because the place is that enjoyable and comforting. Would def recommend it.

We ate in restaurant the first time we had food from here, and it was really good.(Ordered — Chicken lettuce wrap and beef with mixed veggies) So the next time we wanted Chinese take-out we order from this place and drove a bit further… and the food was awful.(order sweet and sour chicken, and combo fried rice) I’m really on the fence about this place. Will see if we end up going back… and then update from there.

I ordered a bunch of items one of which being their chicken wings. I love chicken wings from Chinese restaurants but these tasted like two week old chicken on the brink of being on the FDA’s recall list. Not worth the $ 5.29 per 6 pcs order. I also order twice cooked pork which turned out not to be. It was pork slices stir fried with onions, carrots, and cabbage. Twice cooked pork should have a brown sauce and not soapy veggie. If you plan on ordering for lunch and get your food Togo on a Sunday expect to pay dinner prices for lunch portions. When I asked why it was not lunch prices for the lunch portion, the waitress could not explain to me why.

The food is very simple. It tasted like food a normal person like myself could make at home. The Szechuan eggplant was delicious though.

Kirin falls into my deep-rotation list. It’s good basic suburban chinese food. Closer than other, better options, Kirin’s staff is friendly and helpful. The location is fanstastic. The beef and broccoli is a favorite — suggest going deep in the menu to get what you need out of Kirin. Great location, great staff, decent prices — it has a place in my rotation.

I have lived in this area for over 6 years and only stopped here recently to meet a friend. I was pleasantly surprised at the amount of food I received for my money. And it was good! I guess I should preface it be saying, I am not a big fan of Chinese food. I ordered the General Tso chicken and had enough for dinner and my next day lunch. All this for around $ 10. #Winning Staff was also friendly and attentive!

It’s a good option for fast food chinese when you’re out in the boonies. I don’t come expecting gourmet, and fear not – they do not make gourmet food. Here some highlights of what I like: — garlic chicken — eggplant appetizer — hot and sour soup I’ve never dined in, but it appears very clean and they have a tv going. So if you’re dining companion(s) are boring, make sure you sit at a good angle. They’re also SUPER fast, which is always convenient b/c I’m a monster when I’m hungry. Don’t get their fried noddles dish. I ordered it expecting something somewhat close to the classic cantonese dish– the noodles were gross. Might as well have gotten lo mein.
