It’s good to hear the PTs is once again open. Not only are their burgers and fries brilliant but nothing beats 90s night during the week. While the main area becomes a hot and crowded dance floor at night, there are still areas which are a bit more low key.

This gets such a high rating because it has the best fries in Chapel Hill, decent beers, and pretty good sandwiches. I would recommend the PT dog or grilled chicken sandwich. Also, another bonus to PT’s is it’s simplicity. You just take an order slip, check off what you want and with what fixings, and they bring it out to you. Plus, everything comes with fries and a drink.

This turned into one of my favorite places towards the end of college and I make sure to go here whenever I’m in town. It’s a good crowd with cool people and usually good music. Girls are not stuck up like they are at a lot of places so the dance floor can get grimey sometimes. There’s also pretty good drinks specials so along with everything else that’s one of the reasons this has become a hot spots on some nights. I’ve actually had their food before and it’s also very good. Great burgers and delicious fries and I think there’s one night where there’s a good burger special.

If I’m feeling a burger I generally go to buns… BUT if I want a burger, a beer, and to sit outside, then PT’s couldn’t be more Awesome. Its a good vibe, great deal, and tasty fries.(they’re pretty salty, and I think its lime salt) I remember them having PBR by the can at a $ 1 each. Good place and easily doable during a lunch break.

Watched the USA vs. Algeria world cup game here and had an early lunch. Staff did not seem awake at 10:30 but I wasn’t really either. Ok, first the good. This place has at least 15 beer varieties on tap – so terrific selection. Unfortunately, lunch was less than stellar. The cheeseburger was average, and the fries limp and tasteless. There are better options around town. At least my team won the game.

Great happy hour specials, great beer selection, pretty good food. Will see undergrads here from time to time during lunch and dinner hours when the drink specials are going on. The late night DJ and dancing draws a wide audience.

PT’s is the best place in Chapel Hill for a burger. A classic 8oz burger with fries and a drink would only set you back $ 8.25. You step in and you mark a sheet indicating what you want in your burger while a staff fills up a drink of your choice. Here at PT’s, you get lemon-pepper seasoning on your fries too! The staff are extremely polite, often coming round asking you if the food is alright and if you need a refill. Good food and service = Happy Customer

It’s the college burger joint you wish you had. Inexpensive burgers that come with fries and a drink. The staff brings you your food, so you can get your chill on out on the patio as soon as you scrawl down your order. And if you’re a cheap college student, you can run off down the street without paying because you pay after you eat. The staff are super nice and will bring you refills and check up to make sure everything was good. If you like fries, they will be. Lemon pepper and salt on fresh cut fries? I feel like a caveman seeing fire for the first time and thinking, «Wow, why didn’t I think of this.» The food take a little time to prepare because they’re cooking your fries after you order them. It’s like In ‘n Out like that, but better. So you get hot fresh fries, no heat lamp action keeping them warm for the past 30 minutes. They’ve got a nice beer selection and plenty of TVs to watch the game too. Oh and if you’re a student now, damn you have the burger joint the rest of wish we had.

You may scoff, you may laugh, you may roll your eyes. But as far as Party-Bars go in Chapel Hill, this is the best. Good music, great crowd. great ratio. What else do you want? Oh great burgers. Oh great drink specials? My favorite bar south of Washington DC.

I really like this place. Good service and cheap, good quality burgers. Oh, I liked the sweet tea as well. The place turns to a bar at night. Prolly want to come back to check it out at night.

The stars must be aligned in Fried Potato Heaven. I came down to NC for July 4th and ate here with my brother and sister-in-law. P.T.‘s is one of those establishments where their ordering system is no-nonsense and as quick as you like. Take a sheet of paper, mark what you want, and turn it in. Like sushi a la carte but with burgers. The burger I had was on the dry side. Let’s glaze over that. The fries were a pretty delicious mess. While crispy, they we also soft and«flaky» for hand-cut fries. A lot like the kind you would find at Dogfish Alehouse, but P.T.‘s KNOWSHOWTOSEASONFRIES. Salt + lemon pepper = my face plz k thx. 3 adult meals and a grilled cheese for a baby cost $ 30, not bad at all!

Bartenders here are the best! I can only speak for the nightlife side of things but it is very fun on the weekends and 80s night on Thursday!

PT’s is a great place for any time of night. I usually come here for the bar atmosphere and the dancing that tends to occur on the weekends. There’s a cover if you come after a certain hour and it can range from $ 2 to $ 4 depending on the night. The bartenders are friendly and quick, but beware that this place can get CROWDED. If you like having your personal bubble of space I would check it out before going inside. I’ve also eaten dinner here once and while the grilled cheese was mediocre, I swear they put crack in the french fries. They are that good. It’s very simple food, but it does it’s job.

Definitely my favorite bar in town. This is a nice casual place with a chill vibe, and no obnoxious music. I am 29 and feel right at home with the crowd. A friend was visiting from out of town and we went wandering around franklin street looking for drinks and fun. After the obligatory beer at Top of the Hill, we stumbled across Hell and balked at the $ 5 cover and wretched smell emanating from the place. Then, as a beacon of light in the distance, Lucy’s/Pts Grille appeared. At that time they were running ½ price off ALL drinks Sunday through Wednesday. Needless to say, it was a BIG night, and we left buzzing hard with a $ 13 tab. Also check out«Guitar Hero» night.

Having eaten at a couple of the locations in Wilmington, I was really excited when I heard that Chapel Hill has a PT’s now. It’s a casual, short-order kind of place and everything on the menu is very affordable. Both the burgers and the chicken sandwich are great, and the fries are nicely seasoned and delicious. Their portion sizes are rather large. When I visited this location last week, I called in an order and arrived at the approximate time they indicated. I ended up having to wait an additional 15 minutes before it was ready, but the rest of the staff seemed pretty competent so I’m willing to assume that I was just dealing with a new employee. The food was great, as usual, but there were napkins and ketchup all over the floor. I’m hoping that this will improve with time as PT’s settles into its spot in Chapel Hill.

PT’s(the new Lucy’s) is a great lunch/dinner spot, as well as a fun bar. The burgers are what they are known for, and I recommend sticking with what they do best. It’s good American food at its best. In terms of the nightlife, PT’s is host to a variety of special nights. Tuesdays are the most popular, with a $ 2 cover for half-price drinks. Yes, all drinks are half price. It’s also a 90’s themed music night, making it fun to go back and listen to all of the awful hits throughout the decade. 80s night is on Thursday, and on Monday and Wednesday they have specials on all domestic beer. Now that it is warm outside, the outdoor patio makes for a great place to go and sit with friends throughout the summer.
