The Skin-E

I can’t speak for the waxes, because unfortunately I didn’t have the opportunity to have mine. After calling around frantically trying to find a next day appointment, I reached Skin-​E, and I was put in the computer for 10 AM the next day and told that Dorri would call me back if there was any problem with the time. I asked if I should call back to confirm, since it seemed unclear that she’d be available at 10, but was assured that Dorri would let me know if there was any conflict. I drove out the next morning and was told Dorri wasn’t there, so the receptionist called her cell phone, again, and again, as I waited and waited. No response. The chiropractor (since they share an office) told me Dorri had indeed been there when I called the night before, so it’s unlikely she didn’t get my message. I’d like to give Skin-​E the benefit of the doubt, and maybe there was some confusion, but it was an hour wasted, and even after I left, annoyed and unwaxed, I never heard from anyone with an apology, or explanation? I hope this was a fluke, and maybe I should have gone with my initial instinct and called back to confirm. Just an FYI, the waxes may be great but the business organization could use some work. I was fully prepared for a terrible experience. I drove far out of my way to redeem a LivingSocial coupon. A brazilian wax is never fun, even less so on a day when you have lots to do. Lucky for me, The Skin-​E was better than I could have expected.
When I walked in, Dorri told me that she didn’t mess around, and she wasn’t kidding. It was a great, fast wax. I haven’t had a lot of waxes, so I still get scared and flinch a lot, but Dorri kept working. She used a combination of hard and soft wax for the most efficient and least painful wax possible. While Skin-​E is out of my way, I will definitely return.
For anyone else looking to check it out, be aware that it’s in the corner of the shopping center opposite the grocery store. There’s currently not a big sign, just a banner in the window, so look for the back treatment sign. It’s a little confusing, but they’re working to clear it up.
