Desires by Mikolay

Desires by Mikolay is the best retail store to open in Chappaqua in the 21 years I have lived there. In retail challenged downtown Chappaqua, Desires has become a destination for Westchester residents from many miles away.
Scott Mikolay, and his wife Tara own and operate the establishment along with their well trained, friendly staff. Their carefully edited collection of jewelry and watches has something for evey budget, and there is no pressure to upsell.
Scott is a highly skilled jeweler, and also offers his own creations. Tara runs the front of the store. She is warm, friendly, and very good at helping clients find something that works for them in their own price range.
What’s more Scott and Tara are generous supporters of local charities and causes– and they do it quietly.
The store is spacious and elegant. I have bought anniversary and birthday gifts for my wife there for the past 10 years. Not only does Tara know my taste and budget, she even remembers what I purchased for my wife previously so I don’t duplicate! Oh – one more thing– their pricing is very competitive, and they occaisonally have days where everything in the store is for sale at a discount based on the price of the item– as they did last week during the Chappaqua Summer Sale Day.

I recently brought a Gold Figaro bracelet into Desires by Mikolay to be repaired. I bought this bracket in the late 90’s it was one of my first pieces of jewelry I bought myself so I really wanted it repaired. I trust Scott, the staff and his store more than anything so I know it will be fixed by the best. But what I did not know is that gold jumped a huge amount since then and my bracelet is worth so much more than I thought. I wear my bracelet everywhere without a second thought. Well I guess times are changing, but one thing that will never change is my trust in Desires by Mikolay. Seriously, Thank You!

I have been a patron of Desires since they opened. Their friendly staff and excellent service set them apart from others. The ambiance of the store is airy and bright. Their selection changes often and what I like best about them is that they have a range of prices and styles of jewelry ranging from traditional to trendy. The on site repairs is a big plus– saves time and money– and their complimentary jewelry cleaning service (every time you com in even just to browse) keep my baubles looking bright! Definitely stop in!
