While vacationing in Charleston, my friend and I go massages at A Nurturing Touch. Ahhh… My masseuse was Amy, and she did a fantastic job – I ended up falling asleep. The massage itself was fabulous, but the facility could use some updating.

Angela and Amy were amazing! My friend and I were in Charleston visiting from Alabama and Texas. Thank you both for the great service.

My hubs got me a gift card for her last Christmas… as crazy as the schedule is, I’m finally getting around to using it! Whoo! So, it’s easy to schedule online with A Nurturing Touch. Massage is not something I normally do, so I took my time, read the bios of the different massage therapists and chose according to what fit my schedule and who I thought would best fit what I was looking for in the massage. I specifically scheduled on Friday so I could upgrade to the aromatherapy session. I’m going to hit the three negatives of this place first and then the positives, so bear with me here. Negative one — I got an email the day after I scheduled that had switched the therapist I had picked. If that is how they run it, why let the client pick at all? I was a bit frustrated by this, but decided to just go with it and see how it worked out. Negative two — there isn’t a specific sign for«A Nurturing Touch,» so if you’re looking for that, you’ll miss it. There is a Total Care sign, so keep your eyes peeled for that, I believe they share the building with a handful of other businesses. Negative three —(well, this is kind of two little things). Not a huge deal, but to be expected I suppose, you will get bombarded with emails after you sign up online for your massage. And second little thing, the place is not the most appealing massage place I’ve been at, walking in it smells old…(you know what I mean?) and not the historic, cool building kind of old… more like Grandpa’s old stuff old… You also walk in to a set of stairs, not an issue for me, but it could be for less mobile/injured people. Like I said, little things, not deal breakers, but I’ve walked into massage places before and thought«I want to live here,» they were so relaxing and beautiful. This is not that place. So, about the massage… I had Kristen. She was nice, easy to work with, and has some strong hands. Was it the best I’ve ever had, no… was it the worst I’ve ever had, no… will I be back… ehhh, maybe. More than anything it just made me miss the amazing place I went to in Asheville for massage. To be fair, the massage therapist there had worked with a ballet company in New York for years and his hands were like magic, it was amazing. He also specializes in therapeutic/medical massage, so maybe it’s a whole different arena, but I hope to find someone who makes me feel as good down here at some point.

I took my wife here for Valentine’s day because neither of us had a message before. The 2 therapists did an awesome job on our couples message and we will definitely be going back. I would recommend this to anyone wanting to relax and experience it at this place if it’s your first time or any time.
