Sucks. I read the reviews on Google and they said is was good. It’s only good if u want to spend $ 15, eat bad Chinese food– and have to resort to eating the French fries just to fill u up. The place is full of fat low-middle class people.

The place has gotten better than when A1 first opened. I liked it better as Ocean buffet… But they try to cut corners now… got rid of the cold mussels and the«sushi» stinks completely now. It is just avacado type rolls(which to me are not sushi, where’s the fish) with no fish to be had. I agree wholeheartedly with the review complaining about the waitress watching you eat. They clear the plates quickly but the price you pay is to be gauked at constantly. I have never seen roaches in my years of going here. This is a last resort for us though. It is in/out when we are not in the mood to wait for a table or waiter to bring the check.

This is by far the best Chinese buffet I’ve ever ate at. The food is fresh and so good. Not hard sitting on the line. They change out and keep fresh food up. Normal $ 10 – 12 and very much worth it. I mean the buffet is fresh and so tasty. Big difference in fresh and average.

Didn’t look at the previous Unilocal until I had already met one of the buffets 6 legged mascots. Having a roach scurry across the floor as you head up for food isn’t the best way to start upping the star rating. Food wise, standard fare. Had honey chicken, bland as could be without a hint of honey flavor to speak of, general chicken, bland without much of anything honestly, pork with onions and peppers, continued the bland run well, chicken wings which were probably the best item and still ranked in the ehhhhh I’ve had better category but could have been worse, lo mein again not much to speak of and white rice. Rank on food? Two star, not much of a selection and it all tasted dull to the palate. Ambiance was about what you’d expect, an attempt at creative mood lighting, a mini pond in the lobby which wasn’t pumping and graced by exposed tubing to the non functional Fountains/waterfall? Overall the floors and tables looked relatively clean. Service was attentive but there were only a handful of customers so hard to really say good or bad.

Have they fixed the roach problem? I doubt they have solved the roach problem if the roaches have left the kitchen and are infesting the dining area.

I used to like the previous place when it was called Ocean China Super Buffet mainly for their sushi buffet. Service: okay, besides the waitress constantly standing there staring at us eat. Food: nothing special, they have a guy there that will cook up lo mein and fried rice anyway you like it. But, their sushi selection now lacks the fish selections, mainly California rolls, and a few other non-fish ones. The other best dishes were clams and fried shrimp. Location: great location, next to Harris Teeter and Tuesday morning, with lots of parking. Atmosphere: okay, nothing special. The tables and bathrooms Could be a little cleaner.
