This is a fantastic bead store! It may be small but it has two floors FULL of beads. The staff was exceptionally knowledgeable and friendly, they even told me of some wonderful places to see while I was in the area. There is plenty of street parking right out front so there is no problem visiting this shop. I definitely will go back next time I am in town!

I went to this store today and it was awesome. The space is small, but the way they have it set up is great. All of the beads upstairs are in alphabetical order which is awesome. The staff was very nice and knowledgeable. I was like a kid in a candy store. A neat little place full of AWESOMENESS. Loved it!

Tiny and a little stressful because the workers are watching you/asking you questions the whole time. I even had one lady follow close behind like she thought I might steal something! It’s also in an inconvenient location so make sure you have quarters and hopefully you can find parking on the street somewhere. Large selection though for the space. I’d recommend Beads and Brushstrokes in Mount Pleasant.

This store is a bead lovers’ dream! They have just about any kind of bead you could want. And the friendliest, most helpful staff you could ask for.

I travel to Charleston from Washington D.C. every year to visit family, and I ALWAYS allot at least a few hours to visit this shop. This is one of the very best bead shops I have ever been in – many beads I have never seen before, and beautiful and unique focal beads and spacers. The upstairs is sheer heaven – it is a small space but packed with extraordinary items. And the best part, being from D.C., is that the prices are very reasonable. The customer service was excellent. As always, the only regret I had from my visit last week is that I wish I had bought more. Wish they had mail order.

Great store. I wish they sold more individual beads. You don’t always need a whole strand of beads … thats what makes beading very expensive. Very helpful staff.

I drive here from Atlanta. In Atlanta, we have a great Merchandise Mart and tons of bead stores. The wholesale shows are numerous and accessible. My easy favorite is BEADSONCANNON in Charleston!

I’ve been to a lot of bead stores up and down the east coast, including New York City(the mecca for notions, beads, and all things for fashion design). Beads on Cannon is right up there with some of the best. On Cannon Street in Charleston, sits this old Charleston home which is packed with the most extensive selection of glass, chezch glass, shells, stones by the strand, and focal pieces I’ve ever seen in one place. Truly a candy shop for a beader! The selection of charms and findings is unbelievable! This is one of the few stores in town which also carries a wide range of leather and Chinese knotting cord in a variety of colors and sizes, as well as silk, stringing cord in all sizes and colors. The downstairs is fun… but upstairs! Upstairs was heaven for me! Agate, jade, carnelian, jasper, JET(what is jet?), garnets that I could afford! Pearls, quartz, tourmaline, and the list goes on. Sizes, shapes, colors. Basically, if you can’t find it here, good luck going to another store. With competitive prices, knowledgeable sales people, and a selection unlike any other, it’s easy to recommend this store. So — if you are a beader, interested in learning about beading, or just want an incredible experience with rock and stones, textures and color, check this place out. Kudos to the buyer — a great eye for design!
