Awesome bar! Stumbled in hungry late night from out of town, Big Joe served us his smoked pastrami. Incredible hospitality!

Big Joe’s is a solid, divey bar on lower Capitol Street. Decent selection of bottled beers reasonably priced, bar food a bit on the right of the quality bell curve, and a sociable atmosphere. Well worth spending at least some of your drinking dollars at when roaming the downtown scene.

Big Joe is awesome! One of the most welcoming and FUN bars in Charleston! If you are looking for cocktails, yummy bar food and a good crowd this is the place to go. Go throw some darts and order some home made potato chips — you won’t regret it!
