bob evans review 12.4.15 Intro: took a while to get seated, but there was an informal santa claus there and he was entertaining a little girl and talking with her about x-mas stuff so it was a cute sight to kill the wait time :) LOL. Order 1: Mine 3 course dinner: Country fried steak, salad, mashed potatoes and a sundae. It was very good but the taters were a tad lumpy, still ate most of them tho as I was very starved since I had to wake up, go to the American Frieght place all the way from PKB and didn’t eat at all that day from waking up at 3PM to the time we got there. CFS was good though. Really good gravy on it. :) Salad was good as well. Sundae was so needed as a treat I’ve had a frustrating week. It was really good :) Order2:Hubby’s 3 course dinner as well: Portabello steak, chicken soup, and taters and a sundae. He liked his a lot, no complaints. He also liked the taters and the soup. And the sundae. Service: Was good. Manager even checked on us and refills were timely. Wifi worked good as well. Overall: recommended

Still one of the best Chicken pot pies ever! I don’t know if I would recommend other then breakfast or chicken pot pies.

This place is not ran efficiently. There were about 10 – 15 people waiting to be seated when we arrived and departed. Both times there were about 5 or so tables open with patrons not being seated. My girlfriend’s eggs had multiple shells and getting my coffee refilled took forever. The bathrooms were not clean and no one was busing the tables. The manager did not look remotely close to presentable and the waiters/waitress hung out up front together having a grand olé time. This is one of the worst franchise restaurants I have ever been too.

Gross. The bathrooms were dirty. The soap was a bottle of soft soap with water added to it. My pancakes were soggy, I had to ask 5 times for my fruit bowl, and I never got my tomato. Also they were out of all bread except rolls. And they were out of sugar. Good job bob evans

Mgr sat us. Ten min later no server. Boyfriend went to mgr twice asking for a server finally one came. Half our food was missing and he only took the 20 percent off. Very non friendly place. The cooks did good on their part. Wait staff and mgrs are horrible. At the end the mgr tore off the code where we could complain. I made him give me the other half. Guest satisfaction well they have no clue. Will not be back

We’ve always received a good meal here, be it breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Sometimes the service can be a bit slow, but their friendliness and food easily make up for it. Parking is plentiful. Seating is spacious. We like to sit in a booth and have never felt crowded. They do run out of banana nut bread in the evenings, so be aware. Their portions are huge. We always take some home and it serves as lunch for my husband the next day. They can easily accommodate large parties. Their carry out is very convenient and fast. Checkout is usually swift.

This location had been completely redone since our last visit and it’s beautiful! The service and food were fantastic and they promptly seated us and waited on us. The eggs were light and fluffy and the other breakfast items done perfectly despite being a busy noontime meal on a Friday. Highly recommended for a Bob Evans!

Weekday breakfast. Place was at half capacity at best. Once seated, three waitresses let me know«Chris» would be by to get my order. 15 minute span, no server, 3 who went out of their way to tell me someone else would wait on me. No service, manager blames her staff, no money from me.

Good old Bob Evans… While this particular location was nothing to write home about I’d like to take the chance to plug them anyways. Their menu is pretty robust so you can get a decent salad, sandwich, omelette or pancakes if the mood strikes you. The one thing i have always really enjoyed about this place is that for breakfast you can have a bowl of oatmeal and some fresh fruit which is usually a cheaper and healthier option than some of the other places out there.

Great staff. Delicious food. Cheap bite to eat morning, afternoon, or evening. No wait time in the afternoon; looks like an after-church brunch spot on sundays so watch out!

On a long drive recently, I had occasion to stop at this restaurant not once, but twice — a late dinner one evening, and then breakfast the next day. Bob Evans is convenient as it’s just across the parking lot from the Motel 6 where we stayed. On an 1800-mile journey, these were by far the friendliest, tastiest two meals I had. The thing is, this is a Bob Evans. It is a restaurant named for a sausage magnate. The food is classically mid-American fare: a lot of the items on the menu are, indeed, greasy and salty. If you don’t like that type of food, you probably shouldn’t choose to eat at places like this. However, when comparing oranges to oranges, meaning other casual dinner places in this price range(Denny’s, IHOP, Perkins, etc), Bob Evans really shines. For dinner, I had a spinach salad. The greens were fresh, the dressing was good, the toppings(grilled chicken, almonds, bacon) were generous. My companion had a chicken-fried steak and mashed potatoes with gravy. I tried a bite and it was delicious. He cleaned his plate. The service at dinner was, admittedly, just okay — our orders were correct and served quickly, but our waitress was kinda grim and the other workers were pretty unprofessional. At breakfast the next morning, we had the Best Waitress Ever. She was fantastic, anticipating refills before we asked for them, being friendly and outgoing without smothering us. I had eggs and biscuits with the famous(infamous?) sausage gravy this chain is known for. The gravy was… well, maybe I just don’t get the appeal. I think you have to be Southern. It literally came in a soup bowl! Still, everything was hot and fresh, the eggs perfectly over medium. My friend had stuffed French toast and proclaimed it excellent. Best of all? When we told our waitress we were traveling, she(unprompted!) gave us huge to-go cups with lids filled with our drink refills. That’s an extra star right there. Bottom line, if you are traveling through West Virginia on I-64 and you need an inexpensive diner with a good selection, stop here. I would absolutely eat here again, which is more than I can say for ANY of the other 12 places I ate on this trip.

How can I put it simply, HORRIBLE!!! Bad service, over salted food, no wonder this state ranks high in obesity cases!!! To think I wasted good money. I would’ve given this place negative stars if i could. que sera sera.
