Oh my goodness! This is the beg place I have eaten in Charleston. It ranks right up there with the best places I have eaten anywhere. It will take you right back to Paris or Italy. Staff is super friendly. Small and family owned business. I had the Goat & Spinach Quiche for a meal(served with a small salad) and a Napoleon and chocolate croissant Coke dessert.(I couldn’t choose just one!) Highly recommend. I seriously can’t say enough about this place!

Cute place with a wide selection of pastries! I stopped by for lunch today and ordered a Quiche Lorraine which comes with a small side salad. The quiche was warmed and delicious! I also ordered several macarons(chocolate, salted caramel, and pistachio), which I found to be disappointing as they took on a refrigerated flavor. They were however very light and fluffy so I imagine they would be great fresh. Please note they only take Visa and Mastercard! My coworker ordered the almond croissant which she says hands down was the best!

We stumbled upon this place looking for another café suggestion through Unilocal. It looked so inviting from the outside, totally European, which being German ourselves we can totally appreciate. And being that Paris is by far one of my favorite cities we had to try this gem out. And I’m so fortunate we did because the whole experience was great. The ambience was exactly what I strive to find in cafes. The food took me back to a weekend in Paris, I had ordered some type of almond croissant with chocolate inside and my mom ordered the market croissant past the breakfast cut-off time but the lady at the front was nice enough to go above and beyond and still offered to have it made. The drinks were great, we even went back after finishing our late breakfast to grab a Danish and macaroons to go. The only downfall for me is that it’s located downtown Charlestown and I live near Savannah so I can’t make this a weekly trip for fresh French pastries and croissants. But anytime I’m in or near Charlestown I will definitely make a stop.

We had a delicious lunch here while visiting Charleston! Crepes and panini were made with fresh, healthy ingredients. Tea and coffee were also perfect. Our meal was a refreshing break from the comfort food the city is known for. The space is welcoming and clean. In addition, being a little bit away from the busy shopping area, makes this a quiet and friendly local spot.

This place reminds me of Paris. When we walked in the first thing we saw was the raisin pastry that tasted just like the one we had in Paris every morning from the pastry shop across from the hotel. But I’m getting ahead of myself as that was dessert. For lunch we both had crepes. Just the right amount of filling in a tasty buckwheat crêpe. I had the tomato crêpe which was awesome. The people were very friendly and the place was clean. This really rates closer to 4 ½ stars.

This café was amazing! Everything we got was absolutely delicious especially the dark chocolate, strawberry, and coconut crêpe. Also the staff were super sweet and personable. If I ever come back to Charleston, I will make it a point to revisit this café.

We stopped in from the cold for a quick dessert before we headed back to Mt P. I had the Napoleon — perfect mille feiulle and custard. A must. Fiancé had the almond croissant and it was gone so fast I didn’t even get a chance for a taste! FYI: the café is not towards the market but past the Forever21. I assumed that since its on market street it’d be with the hustle of tourist trap central. Not the case — off the beaten path, as they say.

Café Framboise is my spot for eating, drinking, and basically taking it easy like a Frenchman on the outdoor seating. When I first started coming here is was much more low-key, tucked away in a quiet pocket of the city. I felt like I was one of the few in the know. Seems like more folks found out about all the tasty things that they have on offer. I believe the café is owned and ran by a family from Brittany, all lovely people who never shy away from a warm greeting to their customers. On display you have everything from tarts, croissants, éclair’s, and much more. The coffee is on point, the sandwiches are on point, the crepes are on point, the quiche a bit less on point but still good. The price point is on the higher end, but you really are paying for quality. I hope the community comes around this local café and keeps it running for many years to come.

Wow! Best ham & cheese croissant ever! Stopped in on the way to the airport for a quick breakfast to go. Got a chai latte and a ham and cheese croissant. The croissant itself was spectacular. Add the cheese, bechamel and ham and its crackalicious! The chai wasn’t my favorite– it was a bit bland. I don’t like sweet drinks, so I was happy that it wasn’t overly sweetened like in many places, but this was just missing some flavor. I’d DEFINITELY come back to taste the crepes, which looked outstanding!

Still great – we’ve stopped in several more times – for breakfast, for a Unilocal Elite event to sample and gab with other Unilocalers, and for a snack. I would add to my review by saying that the breakfast egg brioche sandwiches are very good – tried the spinach egg combination. Very filling, and a perfectly cooked egg.

I just had lunch at Café Framboise, and I have to say — this place is nothing short of amazing! I had the Chicken Florentine crêpe, which is a crêpe with artichokes, chicken, swiss and mushrooms. Though it was admittedly a bit on the cheesy side for me, it was hands down one of the best things I have ever put in my mouth. The crêpe is delicious(and gluten free if that matters to you) and the fillings inside were just divine. I look forward to trying their other lunch crepes, and trying a sweet crêpe for breakfast sometime! As far as the service is concerned — the women behind the counter were so incredibly friendly. They earned an A+ in service. They also have a whole display of sweets and goodies in the front, ranging from cookies to macarons to meringues. Also looking forward to sampling some of these. I am pretty stoked to find this hidden treasure right around the corner from my workplace, it will definitely make my lunch hours much more enjoyable!

Alright. Here’s the deal. I would have given this place a five, but my lady did not have a good experience so I have to bring it down to a three. My wife and I used to go to Toast for breakfast/brunch when we go to Charleston. We wanted to try a new place and of course, I checked out the places on Unilocal for a brunch spot. The reviews just got me all excited! So, we got there, and I got even more excited. The place looked legit. We walked in and guess what? We hear real French! My wife and I both used to speak French so we knew it was legit. We make small talk, we order, we wait, we take pictures… Five minutes or so later, I got my awesome brunch. But, ummm, fifteen minutes pass and nothing for my wife. I think almost 20 minutes past. It turns out, they made a mistake and resulted in some miscommunication. So, my wife got her breakfast late and cold. You know the saying, «happy wife, happy life.» Well, the opposite works too. The moral of the story? Everything tastes great, the place is legit, and location is nice too; but, make sure they know what you ordered, AND how many you paid for. Hey, even so, we have to give it at least 3 stars because my Chicken Vol Au Vent was amazing.(Definitely worth checking out. Don’t tell my wife.)

The couple that owns and operates this small but adorable café are as French as they come – and it shows in their food and the pride they take in sharing it with guests. Count on enough variety on the menu here to satisfy anyone in your group, including pastries, salads, pastries, sandwiches, pastries, crepes, pastries… you get the picture.

Go ahead, I dare you to find a more authentic French Café in town. As soon as you step in to Café Framboise, you might as well be in one of the many street cafes of Paris. I usually don’t eat breakfast out much because first of all, I make amazing breakfast and second, breakfast is really hard to mess up and any knuckle head can charge you $ 8 for an egg sandwich. But Café Framboise just has the most delicious looking buckwheat crepes and you can follow that up with their broad selection of house made pastries from scratch and some espresso. Aside from the food, the owners are this amazing French couple that just make you feel like you eating on their kitchen counter on a Saturday morning. Can’t wait to go back.

I eat here almost every day because I work nearby and I have never been disappointed. The staff is fabulous and extremely polite, they have a delicious raspberry tea(among others), and all of their food is delicious. The chicken pesto panini is probably my favorite thing on the menu, but I also enjoy the chicken puff pastry and the quiche Loraine.

Fantastic service, amazing crepes, and a cool atmosphere. Stopped in for lunch with my wife. Ordered Goat Cheese crêpe, and then three dessert crepes: Sugar(w/maple syrup), Homemade Lemon Curd and Powdered Sugar, and Homemade Sea salt Caramel and Pear. We LOVED the Goat Cheese! And the Homemade Sea Salt Caramel and Pear was delicious. We also enjoyed the standard sugar crêpe with maple syrup. Though the food was fantastic, what we’ll always remember is the personal conversation we had with the staff. We were celebrating on our honeymoon and one of the ladies took interest and shared that she was celebrating her anniversary that weekend as well. We ended up talking about the best places to visit in France, when to travel, and what to see. We loved this personal touch!

We loved having espresso and pastries for breakfast and an amazingly authentic and delicious buckwheat(!) crêpe with pancetta, goat cheese and arugula. Heavenly! We sat outdoors on an unusually tolerable temp day for Charleston in June. The latte I had(decaf too!) was perfectly prepared & the family who opened the Café came from Brittany — lovely sweet people. One of the daughters(I only met 1) spoke such flawless English that her accent was almost undetectable. Such a sweet place and good food /2 bonuses(boni?) they welcome dogs and next to Pure Barre Downtown charleston — burn off calories, tone your bum and indulge!

Same owners as Saveurs Du Monde in Mt Plesant. Great spot, outside tables. Pastries are the best, little pricy, but worth it. Hard to find, upper Market Street on other side of King. Frank G

Café Framboise is run by real French but you get the whole Southern hospitality when you walk in. Everybody is very friendly and must go for food lovers. They have a wide variety of fresh food with that European touch. Definitely come by for dessert or pasteries too. Try some of the eclairs or macaroons or my favorite merenque. The panini’s are delicious and for the adventurers they should try a vol-au-vent which is a proper French dish but it’s served not too heavy which makes it the perfect lunch.
