Love going to class every week… the people and comradery are a lot of fun and I look forward to the next time I walk through the door! I heart CKBC!

I joined Charleston Kettlebell Club after moving to Charleston in September last year and having completely burned myself out from 3.5 years of Crossfit. Mike and Brett are incredible coaches and all-​around stand up guys. Coming to class is always a highlight in my day. I’ve re-​learned how to enjoy being athletic and strong thanks to CKC… I highly recommend this gym for anyone in Charleston or visiting!

Charleston Kettlebell Club is amazing! I live in Boston and train regularly with kettlebells so I’m always on the lookout for a great place to train when I’m traveling. This is the best one I have found yet. My sister lives in Charleston and I train here every time I’m in town. I wouldn’t come to Charleston without stopping in! Mike and Brett are extremely knowledgeable, experienced and kind. They have created an amazing community and I always feel so welcome when I drop in. Even though I have the same StrongFirst certifications as they do, every time I drop in I learn so much. Their feedback is always spot on and I leave feeling like I have learned so much. If you are serious about your health and fitness, want to get strong while staying safe, and want more than just a «gym», then go see them! You will learn a ton, and have fun doing it. Thanks for always making me feel so welcome, CKC! I will definitely be back!

Though Charleston Kettlebell Club is listed here as a «gym», that really doesn’t do it justice. Sure, it exists to help you attain your fitness goals, but you won’t find rows of stationary bikes, treadmills, or Precors here. What you will find is a group of highly qualified personal trainers dedicated to fitness through strength, mobility, and nutrition. Whether 1 on 1 training, or in a group class, they do it the hard way and get results. Where they are special is their total commitment to each client. So yes, it’s hard, but not too hard for anyone, because each client is given a tailored approach that suits their own age, fitness level, injury history, and goals. I feel very lucky to have these guys in my life. In addition, David Stowers, who works in CKB, is the best and most knowledgeable massage therapist I have worked with.

I’ve been working with Brett and Mike for 5 years and workout with them at least 3 times a week. These guys are professionals who take what they do seriously and still make it fun. I started going to them because I have had back issues over the years. I am in the best shape of my life.

Strength is the key! When Mike started with me and kettlebells I was skeptical. Maybe I am just a little too old for this! (60) But actually I have more flexibility, much more functional strength for day to day living, and I’ve shed inches, and even lost a little weight. I love boating, and I find I am more nimble, and definitely have more strength for dock lines and coolers!

Mike and Brett are extremely knowledgeable and experienced. They have a lot of patience and meet you where you are. I gained a lot from my time working with them and I’m so grateful for all that I learned.

I’ve been working out with Mike for just a few weeks, but I’m already seeing big improvements in my strength and stamina. It’s great to be able to work directly with a trainer, and even though I’m doing a lot of new exercises I’ve never been made to feel dumb or bad (which is a real problem at some other gyms). I was a bit skeptical about the «old school» kettlebell approach at first, but it’s actually a lot of fun and it’s working. I’ll be continuing to workout here for the foreseeable future.
