Nice cozy Italian spot close to Charleston Place. Freshly made pasta and seafood are a definite treat! Great wine selection, especially the Barolo. Of course, everyone must leave room for dessert because they have everything you need including one of the better tiramisu I’ve had in awhile.

Ohmygoodlord. A hidden spot of heaven! Our table wasn’t quite ready for our reservation when we arrived. No problem, we sat at the bar and went over some wines with the bartender. Easy few minutes! The atmosphere was so perfect. The space is small, about 14 tables, but so intimate. We spoke with our neighbor table a couple of times and had great conversation. Our waitor was amazing! Very thorough in descriptions and was able to answer every question I asked, no matter how weird. He was attentive when the time was right and didn’t make us feel overwhelmed. THEFOOD. When I die, please wrap me in a Spoleto appetizer. Delicious melted mozzarella with tomato, wrapped in a romaine leaf and grilled. Tipped with delicious delicious pancetta. My husband had a salad which was beautiful in presentation. He said it tasted great! We shared another small plate. The gorgonzola and pear ravioli. I could eat my weight in those things. The flavors married together beautifully and it was just delightful. Main course! I had the shortrib. Good googly moogly, people. ITWASTHEBEST I HAVEEVERHAD. EVER. It did not have a bone(big plus there!) And just fell apart the second I touched it with the fork. Lol at the knife they gave me… Never got used. It was served with a delicious sauce mixed with sweet poatoes, small onions and brussels sprouts. It was GLORIOUS. My husband had the lamb chops. Cooked to medium perfection served over some of the best polenta I have had in Charleston. Dessert. My husband had the panna cotta with berries. So so so so good. I went with the tiramisu which was okay. It was homemade, which was a nice touch, but lacked a bit of flavor. Still good, but not my favorite. The coffee was served in a French press, which I really enjoyed. Overall: A++. We will certainly be back. Maybe not on the regular due to the fancy prices, but definitely for special occasions! Keep up the fantastic work, Fulton Five!

We opted for Fulton Five as it had been rated a ‘top romantic restaurant’, as well as it being literally less than 100 yards from our hotel. The food was good, but the overall atmosphere was somewhat cramped and noisy. The dining area is fairly small, but is packed with avid customers. They are certainly going for the ‘authentic’ Italian vibe here, including menu options in Italian and a somewhat limited(non-Italian) wine selection. Others may truly love this place, but it didn’t quite ‘click’ with us.

Fulton Five definitely gets 5-stars. A great boutique restaurant that boasts the best of what Charleston dining is all about… creative and unique. The crispy potato bisque soup was incredible! The ravioli special had a unique spicy flavor that left my tastebuds smiling. Fulton Five is nestled off King Street in downtown Charleston, SC in the historic district. Do yourself a favor and enjoy a spectacular meal at Fulton Five during your next visit.

Tucked away in a charming alley off of lower King Street, Fulton Five is the epitome of romantic fine dining, without the stuffiness. If you are looking for an intimate place for a date, then I would definitely give this place a try, especially if you like wine. The menu is traditional authentic Italian, divided into Antipasta, Primi and Secondi dishes. What I absolutely LOVE about the menu at Fulton Five is that all the Primi items are available in half and full size portions, which makes splitting and sharing plates really easy. Priced at around $ 12, the half portions of pasta are still large and also make a great dinner if not super hungry. When I went last I ordered a full portion of the Orecchiette d’Anatra(pasta with duck, sun-dried tomatoes and mushrooms in a black pepper carbonara sauce) and it was legitimately one of the best pasta dishes I have ever eaten. My friend ordered the Ragu alla Bolognese(traditional red sauce w. meat and pasta) and said it tasted like the real deal his Italian grandmother makes at home. So that makes it legit in my book. The olive oil served with the bread to start was also incredible and hard to resist filling up on before our food arrived. Overall, I think if your looking for a new place for date night and are willing to splurge a bit on good quality Italian then I think Fulton Five is a great option. Not as great as Trattoria Lucca though, which in my opinion takes the cake at Charleston’s #1 spot for Italian fine dining. Must-order items: Insalata Romaine Orecchiette d’Anatra Ragu alla Bolognese

Wonderful romantic restaurant in the heart of Charleston SC. Very delicious filet with asparagus and creamy mashed potatoes. My wife and I got married a few days before our first romantic dinner together in Charleston. She ordered the the Pan seared sea scallops and said they were the best she had ever eaten. Awesome muscles for an appetizer and great bottle of merlot. Compared to Denver CO, where we’re used to fine dining, we were pleasantly surprised when receiving the check. The best olive oil my new wife and I have EVER tasted: Arbequina(we left with 2 additional bottles). The service was second to none while in David & Alicia’s section. We just left and cannot wait to go back!

Excellent service, amazing food and vast wine selection! My boyfriend and I were only disappointed about the atmosphere, as the restaurant has been rated the most romantic restaurant in charleston for many years. The dining room was the size of a large living room with all the tables squeezed very close together and it was very loud, to me this is as unromantic as it gets. Still worth checking out for the amazing food, but don’t expect a private, romantic date night here!

I can not say enough good, no great things about this restrauant! The food is amazing and the service is top notch. I went with my girlfriend and our husbands. Everyone’s meal was delicious. This is one of my new favorite restrauants. My appetizer was the Insalata Di Mare…, Shrimp, lobster and lump crab with a roasted tomato and lemon mayonnaise, arugala, capers and fresh basil, balsamic glaze… omg.
