Never have I ever seen such an amazing piece of pizza… It was beautiful! We got a slice a pepperoni and it had the perfect balance of cheese and sauce, and not too greasy. It came out and was cooked quickly and service was very friendly. 10⁄10 suggest for a quick yummy meal!

Came all the way to Charleston just for their pizza and brought my bestie so she could try it also. The only pizza place I’ll eat in around town. Fast friendly and great!

This place is my go-to for a quick lunch downtown. They have delicious New York style pizza that they sell by the slice. However, you can also order whole pies, if you’re feeding(or eating for) more than one. The pies come in «big,» «large,» and«larger.» All jokes aside though, consider yourself forewarned if you order the large 28″ pie and show up in your Prius to take it home. You better plan on putting the seats down. I consider the pizza here to be one of the best New York style pizzas in Charleston. The crust is hand-tossed and layered with just the right amount of sauce and cheese. The pies are always cooked to perfection in their large ovens, and they’re served up hot and fast. A large slice of cheese pizza and a drink is about $ 6, which is hard to beat on the Downtown/Market St. area of Charleston . I don’t think that they have crazy late hours, so check before you go. But definitely go!

Came in last weekend and the bathroom was crawling with cockroaches. Left immediately. Gross.

After being asked for additional reasons why this place only received two stars from me, I thought I would update my review. I know it is a late night staple downtown, but it’s also right on the City Market, where there are tons of kids and families. The cleanliness was definitely not up to par(we cleaned off our own table and booth after we ordered, the floors were very sticky, and the soda machine area was just a mess). The staff was also not very friendly: very short and definitely did not appear to want to be there at 2:00pm. If I was here with friends at midnight, these things might not have bothered me, but during the day, as a part of a family trip, they were unacceptable… Stopped in here when my husband had family in town(with three kids that were very picky eaters). We split a whole pizza, and the slices were nice and big. The crust was good but there wasn’t much taste from the sauce or cheese — about half a shaker of parmesan cheese per slice helped. When I tried to order a calzone, they said that they didn’t have any more ingredients to do that. I even said they could make it without the ricotta cheese(the only ingredient different than a pizza), but they still said no. If you’re walking around the City Market and need a super quick snack with kids that are fading fast, go for it, otherwise, there are many better options in the area!

Awesome! Tasty! Best pizza in Charleston… That’s all I have to say! Checked out half a dozen spots from folly beach to Charleston and THIS is the spot!

We were very grateful this joint was open late. The sign said they closed at 10:00, but the employees said they only close when customers stop coming. That, however, was the good part. The pizza was tasteless. It was large in size but very small in flavor. After a night of drinking, I am not picky, but this pizza was a let down. I’ll search for a different late-night place next time.

My friend and I just had a completely pleasant lunch here. We each ordered a calzone which had a wonderfully crisp crust and tender, chewy crumb. The cook was friendly and the waitress was delightfully playful. We would eat here again without hesitation.(I didn’t think to take a picture of the food – but I did get one with the waitress.)

As recommended by a friend we stopped in for a giant slice each. At a time in between lunch and dinner the place was empty when we stopped by. There were enough employees for dinner, and they had nothing to do but to talk, loud, and about things that I didn’t know anything about. The pizza was delicious, but a that weird time between meals, the atmosphere is awkward. Again, the pizza was awesome. And big enough to take up 2 paper plates.

This place is off of the market but not on the main street. We happened to have walked by and saw the place and decided to get pizza. The restaurant is small and it seems like a lot of people get a to go order from here. They have a small menu and I saw that you have to pay for a refill for each fountain soda you get The pizza was done in about 15 minutes. It was huge! The toppings were delicious. Crust was the right amount of fluff and not too crusty and crispy. Sauce for the pizza was good. Slices were huge. Only thing I noticed that was slightly annoying was that they had 1 container of crushed red pepper for everyone to share out of that whole restaurant. When we asked for it at the counter, the girl said someone was using it. It was sitting on a table with people still eating and we had to ask them if they were done with it. Awkward and annoying! Other than that, I would definitely come here again. Great late night snack.

My boyfriend and I frequent this place quite often. It’s hidden in the Rainbow Market«cove» on Market Street so props to you if you can find it. The pizza is excellent. The kitchen is open so you can see them making everything from the table. The prices are very reasonable for downtown. You can get a drink(with refills) and a huge slice of pizza for $ 6. The people who work there are very friendly. It’s a good place to stop in for lunch and get away from the hustle and bustle of downtown. They also make the biggest pizza pies I have ever seen so they are well equipped to handle big orders as well!

This is a perfect late-night snack after a night out in Charleston. Fair warning the slices are a out four regular slices, so don’t make the mistake I did and order two, sadly one just did not make it into my belly despite my best efforts to even finish the first slice. I will be making the trip to Charleston again to try another slice.

Are you kidding??? This place was a joke. I believe the only reason their still in business is because of the tourists.

I basically agree with what other people on here have said. The pizza is great, but everything else sucks. Let me explain: The pizza is pretty good. The cheese, pepperoni, and crust were all excellent. My only complaint is that their sauce is on the sweet side. Also, it literally is the biggest piece of pizza I’ve ever gotten. The three dollars I paid for a piece was worth every penny and then some. Here’s what I meant when I said everything else sucks: The staff/atmosphere/room. The staff are the typical snobbish«hipsters» in their 20 somethings thinking they’re better than everything. You get that vibe just by ordering. Also, the guy who made the pizza’s was wearing pajamas. This place had no atmosphere and defines the definition of a DIVE. It’s so small and gross in there. I’m pretty sure there’s less than ten tables and they’re slammed packed most of the day. *Also, I paid two dollars for a drink and then they want to charge .50 cents for a refill? Come on… plus, there’s no water option unless you buy a bottled water. I don’t know about the person reading this, but I don’t drink soda/tea…so that sucked. Anyway, if you order this to go you might love it. Hell, I probably would have given this place a five if I would have ate it outside.

Great New York style pizza. Out of the way but in a cool spot. Nice staff, easy place to sit and have a slice while hanging out in Charleston. I had pepperoni, which was served piping hot. Red pepper and Parmesan on the tables. Coke to drink. Good stuff. ****I have to add to my review after reading some others. Now I hate a hipster douche as much as the next guy but the staff was great while I was there! Making friendly conversation with families and individuals in the place. And for the PJs comment, those were chef scrubs or whatever you call them. WTF dude? You want them in McD’s uniform? Have you ever seen what 5 star chefs wear?

3.5 stars A bit of a rip off: $ 4 for one slice and $ 6 for a slice and a drink(But I guess in charleston it could be worse) The pizza itself has good crust integrity(no flopping crusts here), the cheese tastes fresh, and the sauce is about average. It is a meaty sauce, not sweet. I Don’t regret trying it, but will be going elsewhere for my next slice. Tip: open late and accepts basic credit cards

I’m not even honestly sure why i’m giving this place 2 stars and not 1, out of pity maybe… We were clearly boozed up, it was late night, and we’re told, oo, try Giovanni’s pizza, one of their large pies. So we go, order a 24″ pie, cheese. We get back to the hotel, and ehhh, let’s say the pizza just had no taste. The sauce was lacking, the cheese had no flavor(is that possible?..), the crust wasn’t cooked all the way through. Just not good. Slight changed and this could actually be halfway decent pizza, but it’s not.

Not too impressed. I was hungry so I ate. But there’s no atmosphere. Staff just looks at the wall and doesn’t engage. The pizza itself was ok, nothing creative or fun… or great. Maybe someone will take ownership and make it fun!

If you’re in the Market or East bay area, this is the place everyone end’s their night. I personally have ended many an evening with these giant slices. This place is authentic NY style pizza. Super thin, super greasy, and you need to fold it in half to eat it. Watch out if you order one to go, the giant box can be a drunken walking disaster or you will get asked for a slice of pizza by every drunkard in a 3 mile radius who can see you carrying the box down the street with two hands. One night I called in a pick up order to take home and when I picked it up I realized the pie wouldn’t even fit in my car. I had to put it in the trunk just to get it home. Pro Tip: Don’t even think about it if its busy but, if you head in at a quieter time, ask about the off menu Meat Wheel. You won’t be disappointed.

Love this pizza! My office of 3 used to order from them all the time. Sadly, we don’t anymore because my boss has been on a permanent health kick for the last few months and there’s no way I can justify ordering a pizza by myself. If I could, I would because it might just be my favorite pizza in Charleston. And like others have noted, the slices are huge. I’ll always remember the time we ordered their second largest size pizza and oh my word, did we get a shock when it was delivered(see photo). I have since always wondered just how massive their largest size has to be. The only reason I’m deducting a star is because we’ve had some… err, unique experiences with our deliveries. The owner seems like a nice enough guy but he’d sometimes make the deliveries and then talk smack about his employees. That just didn’t sit right with me. But the pizza is darn tasty.
