Home of Minor League Baseball team Charleston Riverdogs(Used to be The Rainbows). Team is owned(or owned in part) by Bill Murphy(of Saturday Night Live & Ghostbusters Fame). There affiliated with the New York Yankees(from 2005-present). Great place to take your son if there into baseball. I plan to take mine once he is old enuff to go(at least for 1 game).

What can one say about baseball at The Joe. It is minor league ball with all the whistles and bells and my has it changed over the years. The RiverDogs are going major leagues style now. There is a giant Charlie entrance balloon in left field that the players run out to. Two jumbo trons screens and sushi dogs. Yes sushi dogs. Thursday Thursday’s is now Mondays with $ 1.00 beers and hot dogs and themes and promotions for all the eye to see. There is a buzz now at The Joe. You may see a few errors and not many home runs, but you will have a good time and for a $ 10.00 ticket, it is a great way to spend 3 hours.

In spite of the Dogs losing the last two nights, this was a great two evenings. Clean facilities, excellent concessions and perfect aesthetics make the Joe a place to be in the summer months.

You can’t help but love The Joe! It’s a great place to come for a festival or a ball game. I love the dollar beer section and the inventive and delicious hot dogs you can get. The food at The Joe is better than most stadium food, and the staff is very friendly. Plus, you just can’t beat that view!

I love this park. Not a bad seat in the house. The Riverdogs games are a blast, and if you sit in the right areas, even the hottest of games don’t seem that bad. My only complaint? The Riverdogs games here seem to be second to everything else that is going on. So if it’s a slow game, this complaint just turned into a tip! Seriously though, everything going on makes the games fly by pretty quick if you aren’t into watching the games.

One of the best minor-league parks in the country. I wish they didn’t play the sound system so loud during the Riverdogs games.

I don’t know what made me think of «The Joe» and the Charleston River Dogs today, but funnily enough 2012 tickets went on sale yesterday! It’s been a few years since I’ve been to this awesome little stadium for a game, but it is one of my favorite things to do when in Charleston. The Joe is clean, easy to navigate and just a cool place to hang out on a nice afternoon and watch some minor league ball. Added bonus, food and drinks are WAY cheaper than we’re all used to at Turner Field! Going to a River Dogs game is perfect for families, or for a fun date. Definitely check them out if you’re a baseball fan and find yourself in C-town!
