Sleep Inn

For the price point, this is a good place to stay. Rooms are clean and comfortable and the included breakfast had a surprising amount of options. This is a pet friendly hotel, which is fine, but the walls are rather thin, and I spent three hours listening to a dog in the next room cry and whine, which was less than ideal.

The lobby was clean, the clerk was friendly and professional. The room looked ok but could use new carpet. The bathroom was clean and really the most updated thing about the whole building. The hallway desperately needed work done on the walls and flooring. (Drywall covering was peeling, carpets worn, stained, filthy) Overall, about what I would expect from a budget hotel that allows dogs, but in this instance, overpriced.

Great breakfast & the woman who serves M-​F is amazingly sweet & accommodating. However, there are only showers (no bathtubs) & after a sick child I called the front desk & had to go down to get new linens. Housekeeping did not honor requests in a timely manner.

I have traveled all over the world and know a clean safe hotel when I see one. From the beginning of getting my room, to breakfast was top notch service compliments to Enita, she made sure the full room of customers were taken care of and that the food continued to be available.
The shower in the room is to die for. The hotel is located near all the main attractions and is surrounded by many stores for those forgotten shampoo and deodorant. I would definitely come here again when visiting charleston and recommend it to others who are traveling through or just visiting for a while.
Better than many of the hotels I stayed in while in California.

The hotel was very pleasant as well as the staff my only issue was that I had to have left items shipped to me and and I wasn’t given as much information prior to shipment which could have saved me a grip of money. No company contact information was provided and I wound up paying dearly for my shipment. I could have flown back or stayed for a couple of more nights for less. All I can say is lack of customer service is costly. So 3 stars for hotel 1 star for incident mentioned.

My husband and I stayed here while we were on our Honeymoon. We had a fabulous time. The hotel is clean and the staff are the nicest people you shall ever meet. Being from NYC we are used to taking public transportation to get around. There is a bus stop about a block away from the hotel. The bus takes you to downtown Charleston. The hotel offers the standard continental breakfast. Honestly I have had better choices at other hotels but it is better then paying for three meals a day. We got a nice clean room with two Queen beds, a flat screen television and a separate sink from the bathroom. This hotel is a great midrange hotel.

The location is decent. Getting in an out can be difficult onto Savannah Highway, but you are less than 20 minutes from downtown, James Island, Folly Beach and a plethora of businesses on 17 (East Bay Deli and Mellow Mushroom) and at the corner of highways 7 and 61. Hop onto the crosstown and across the big bridge for a quick trip into Mt. Pleasant.
The breakfast is typical of a breakfast bar with waffles, yogurt, cereal, and coffee and is free with reasonable hours.
The gym and pool for this hotel are actually shared with the Best Western next door.
When I arrived the floor of my room was damp and smelled like mildew.

Was very pleased with this Sleep Inn. The staff was very nice. Allowed us to check inn 4 hours early. The room was very clean. I loved the kiosk in the lobby that gave you directions, coupons, and menus to everything in the Charleston area. The hotel is in a great location. Easy access to Charleston. Be aware, Charleston is very crowded with tourist. Not the laid back southern city we expected. Make sure you try out California Dreaming for a great dining experience. Great views.

This hotel is new or was recently renovated and it has really good conditions. Our room was spacious and it was very clean.
The breakfast has many options.

This is one of those times when you which Unilocal had half-​stars. Four is being too generous and three is not being kind enough.
First the basics. Four Story property, and as with all Sleep Inns interior entrances. This is your basic Sleep Inn room design with their standard furnishings. Property does have an elevator and business center available.
The four star part of my review is for the clean room which included a ceiling fan plus microfridge, strong wifi signal, comfortable bed. All of the employees I encountered were polite and professional.
The three star review is for the breakfast bar, which had the do-​it-​yourself waffles as the only hot food item — no eggs (not even boiled eggs) or meat item available. The parking lot is the biggest negative. All parking for this property is in the rear and the lot is very small. I seriously question if there are enough spaces for one car per room. Add in work vehicles and buses that took up multiple spaces and parking becomes a major problem. The lot is also long and not wide, so the back parking spaces are a pretty good distance from the door. Parking area is also poorly lit.
