Sunny and Shears

Having sampled most of the shops in this plaza, I was in need of a haircut and didn’t want to go to one of the local chains. I walked in shortly after opening and held the door for a nice lady who was also coming in for some follicle enhancements. I was made aware by the stylist that the nice lady was in for an appointment and that she wouldn’t be free until 11am. I told her with a smile that I’d come back, but as I was backing my car out, the stylist ran out to the sidewalk and waved me in. The nice lady who I held the door for allowed me to get my hair cut first, knowing that a cut for a man only takes about 15 minutes, and that would allow her to catch up on her reading of the various magazines. The hair cutting ensued and a nice conversation was had with the stylist. I’ll definitely be back, and next time I’ll make an appointment :-)

Excellent customer service. But I didn’t realize how bad my hair looked until I got home :(
It took someone an hour to fix it today. The only reason I am giving 3 stars is because the girl was sweet, and what was left of my hair was salvageable (9 inches taken off when all said and done).

I had my hair colored and cut by Thea. I didn’t have an appointment but they took me anyway. The place was consistently busy and the 4 stylists i saw had a client all of the time I was there. They call themselves a «Family Salon» and from I saw, there were 2 men getting haircuts and the rest were women. Several women were elderly and the stylists took care of them, even if the ladies just wanted a shampoo and blow dry and some small talk. All of the stylists were friendly.
I will be returning here… I usually go to a big chain for my hair cuts, but the turnover there is so high, I don’t ever get the same stylist twice and they are only interested in getting butts moving in and out of their chairs. This salon is soooo different. My stylist looked through the books with me and took her time in creating just the right cut for me. I wish I had come here sooner! My color looks great, too!
Also, on the back of Bi-Lo’s receipts is a coupon — but they told me that very few people actually use it! (I did!)
