Target Stores

This is pretty basic target. It’s served it purpose. Shoe selection is not the best but I was able to pick up my toiletries… which was the purpose of this visit.

Yeah, I’ m a fan of Target, and while this is not my Sea Side Farms Target, I have never really had a bad experience here. We were on our way to do some mass shopping in the West Ashley area and I remembered I need some things from Target we stopped here. I’m giving a Plus one star for this location having a Starbucks inside the store. Sadly, the Seaside Farms location does not (frown). Another big ups to this location for having clothing items that the Sea Side Farms location does not. Not that I shop for clothes at Target, but I did get some under shirts on this trip and they had plenty in my size. And for my final big ups for this location! This place was crawling with some eye candy. Maybe it was because of a sunny day or what ever, but there were LOTS of cuties in this store. It doesn’t mean I’m going to go out of my way to go to this location, but if I’m in the area, I’ll stop by. Minus one star for being attached to the slowly sinking ship that is known as The Citadel Mall.

The mall should be subsidizing this place because it gets all the customers to come in, and without it the mall would be dying even faster. As this place is the main draw for the mall, it would be busy if it were freestanding, most of the traffic is nearby on this end of the property.
It is a standard, older Target, without groceries, but it does have a Starbucks. The mall entrance is kind of small and feels like a construction afterthought, with dividers so the carts don’t go through. It really feels like they picked up a Target from another location ad connected it to the mall by cutting a doorway at the end of the mall. The main entrance is on the Northeast side.
As is we’ll and accurately noted in the other reviews they don’t seem to manage the customer demand flow by having enough registers or staff to keep the check-​out lines under control.
The place was averagely clean and stocked as compared to dozens of other Targets I have been in across the country –so this one fits well within the Target-​norm. No surprises.

The Citadel Mall/​West Ashley Target is a pretty basic Target. As others have noted, the lines are very long, and the store never has enough registers open. I’ve been at all times of the day and various days, and I’ve always had to wait a while.
Merchandise wise, this Target has everything you need, but I have been several times when things I was looking for were out of stock in certain sizes. It’s not a Super Target, but there’s a good selection of groceries (you’ll still need to go elsewhere for meat and most produce).
Target stepped up its game last year and added a Starbucks inside, which is a great addition if you’re in the mall or in Target and want Starbucks. The actual food area/​café in Target is usually dark and I don’t see anyone in there, so if you want an icee and popcorn, you might have to settle for Starbucks. The Starbucks *does* take Starbucks gift cards and rewards which is a huge plus!
Also, the parking lot was repaved a few months ago. The parking lot’s always packed, but at least the potholes are gone!

This Target always seems to have long lines due to only one or two registers. There were several employees walking around and chatting up front while lines got longer — only 2 registers open at 430pm?! Crazy.
There’s is a lot of empty shelf space here too :(
And the personal health & beauty area is always messy/​disorganized.
The staff is polite but not friendly.

I need the whole world to know that the chick at Starbucks spelled my name right– WITHOUT ASKING! So freakin cool. and my drink was perfect!
The staff here is always polite and always gets it right :) so happy this is my regular spot. Just wish the line would go quicker in the morning

Starting to look like (if not worse) than Wal-​Mart. Disheveled. Disorganized. Sloppy. Unkempt. Straighten up, Target!

A-​okay Target. Stopped by to pick up some things that I needed while on vacation in Charleston. Found everything I needed!

I’m actually rating the Starbucks inside of Target because I couldn’t find a separate listing for Starbucks. Maybe it’s just me. Either way, the ladies behind the counter were courteous, friendly, and had my order ready quickly and efficiently. Just what I needed today. Good service and a great cup of some nutty flavored java latte something something. Also added a scone, because honestly, who doesn’t love a good berry scone warmed up in the morning?

I previously reviewed this Target and that opinion hasn’t changed much. Nice staff, long lines, good merchandise.
This update is strictly about the Starbucks. They are wonderful. One lady is there 90% of the time (I believe she is the Sbux manager) and she is simply delightful. We ended up discussing baseball for several minutes while she made our drinks. There’s also a bearded guy who’s there often who is extremely nice. Honestly, all of their staff is friendly. Our drinks are always made perfectly. The condiment bar is stocked and clean.

One star would be my review but the manager on site was a lot nicer then the two baristas at the Starbucks located inside of target. That’s why I gave them two stars. For one this is a Starbucks franchise inside the store they should be able to honor any discounts or promotional ads from Starbucks. Same way a McDonald’s would inside of a Walmart. For the young lady with the green hair and the other African American female where by far the rudest baristas I have ever encountered at any Starbucks I have ever visited and patronized. Managing businesses myself customer service is our number one priority and what I have seen there at the Starbucks is a lack of enthusiasm and great work ethic. If any of my staff would have treated a customer they way I was treated, they would have been disciplined accordingly. With a suspension or even a termination. Both of them were rude I simply ordered my drink even after they refused to honor a drink ticket I received from Starbucks. I still paid for my venti frap. After they exchanged a few words with stating «this isn’t McDonald’s and that I asked for a coke!» I was shocked i asked her what did you say? She said «nothing I was talking to my self» I asked for a full refund I will not ever patronize a business with low work ethic and disrespectful staff!

Love target. Always spend too much money here. This is one of the few places that I prefer to come to the store instead of buying online!

Hours are great. Customer service staff is helpful but need to cover up more. Selection isn’t the greatest. Lots of holes on the shelves. I like the access to the mall through the store.

This is a great Target! Everyone is nice and helpful. It’s always clean, and it’s easy to find what I need. The lady who works most days in the «café area» truly knows what service means. She connects with customers, and always has a smile and a kind word.
I love being able to go to this Target after finishing some mall shopping. The food section is also well done-​fruit and veggies are fresh, and there’s a nice variety of frozen foods.

What a bunch of rude, nasty cashier’s. I’m not really a frequent Target sport and now I see why. The cashier was hiding and had no one in her line. Perfect! I lay my items down and notice there is a coupon in my kitty food. When I say something she huffs and pulls it if and it falls to the floor. She continues ringing up my items. (She had not applied the coupon yet) At the end, she looks at me to pick it up and my lovely lady friend just keeps smiling at her. There’s a pause. Finally she gives the biggest huff and Ben’s over to pick up the coupon she dropped. Rude and nasty is being nice. Karen is still smiling…

Much better selection AND prices than I thought. The shoe department has always left me disappointed but apparently they are expanding it. They have but are not limited to: pretty bathing suits (slightly over priced), really awesome greeting cards, cute home décor, and fair priced guy clothes. The staff here has always been friendly & I enjoy saving 5% with their red card. Also, its never a long wait in my experience to get through their many open lines. (Take that walmart!)

Target is a good store in a bad location with some recent bad press. Two out if three strikes. With forced competition, they are cutting prices and reducing inventory. It has lost much of its edge and is moving toward a low end retail supplier. Citadel Mall is a central spot for West Ashley and Target is a central draw.
It will stay around and be there for diapers and DVDs when needed.

Its a target, if you’ve been to 1… You’ve been to them all.

The cleanest target store I have been too in the East Coast of USA. Vast selection of merchandising at reasonable prices. Well organized. Decent selection of foods.

This Target is attached to the mall, which I had never seen before. Parking is far enough away from the main mall that their isn’t an overflow issue.
Staff is friendly and helpful. Selection is really good. They have a larger-​than-​average grocery section, including a large frozen/​fridge section and I didn’t see that they were low on anything from the pet food to the door mats.

How can I not love this Target??? I’m the Duchess! lol!
What I love about this Target:
— Very clean and organized
— There are always plenty of «cool carts» for kids available
— It’s attached to the shopping mall
— Everything is on 1 floor
— Employees are friendly
— I never have to wait too long in line
What I don’t love about this Target:
— Whenever I ask Siri «How do I get to Target?», she always gives me directions to the other side of the mall. =(
