Texas Steakhouse & Saloon

I hesitate to even give this restaurant one star because my experience there puts it on the «do not EVER visit this place again and warn all friends against it» list.
I went here with my girlfriend, my father, and his girlfriend on Memorial Day. At first I thought we were fortunate that it was open when most other restaurants weren’t, but I soon regretted my decision. For starters, my dad’s 80-​year old girlfriend literally choked on her margarita because it has a bunch of salt at the bottom directly where the straw was, so she sucked it up on the first drink. She didn’t want any more after that. I had a Filet Mignon special that wasn’t special at all because it was bland and chewy despite being medium rare. How does that happen (meat glue perhaps)? My father and his girlfriend shared a medium-​cooked petite filet and while he ate his, she left half of it on the plate because it was filled with non-​meat like cartilage and whatnot. I didn’t want to ruin our meal because it was the first time some of us met each other, but I was very angry about the pathetic excuse for food they serve here and the fact that the bartender couldn’t even make a Margarita properly.
The only good thing about the meal was the friendly server. I will NEVER return!

One word captures this restaurant: dirty

Typical Texas steakhouse… I’ve been here a couple times… the first time was great… the second… was OK… but not great.
They have great lunch specials… you can do much better here than at Panera Bread across the street for lunch.
Chicken club sandwich is awesome.
Ribeye steak… was lame.
House salad was good — I had bacon honey mustard dressing — very good
Ceasar sald was good too.
Onion straw appetizer was good.
all sides were decent — one person did get a real small sweet potato
Rolls are good — fresh and hot served with real butter (nice to see butter not mystery spread)
Service — pretty good.
Atmosphere — here the deal… first time I sat away from the kitchen… it was nice, second time I was next to the kitchen… I heard all kinds of things — foul mouthed comments and the ins and outs of some waitress’s sex life.
OK…If i ever come back it will be for lunch and i will get chicken and not steak and sit away from the kitchen.

Let’s start with the atmosphere – it was definitely a family restaurant with soccer moms who can’t seem to control their kids. The hostess spent 15 – 20 minutes searching for a party who obviously left. We were lucky enough to get a nice waitress who updated on our food progress every 5 minutes. Food wise – the New York Strip was well done at a medium-​well done. Their starter salad was pretty pathetic and small in portion However, I had the baby back ribs that was really dried along with their chicken tenders. I wouldn’t go back there again :(
