If there was an option to leave zero stars, I would have. I came here with a friend for lunch on a Tuesday. It was steady but not busy. I ordered a Philly steak sandwich without cheese sauce, marinara, and pickles which are standard on this item, and I made it a combo meal with fries and a fountain drink. My friend ordered a deli sandwich after I placed my order. We got our own drinks and found a table. He promptly got his food as I waited for mine. I assumed mine was taking a bit longer since it had to be grilled. Unfortunately, I was wrong. The young lady tending the counter noticed that I didn’t have my food and came to check on me. She then went to the kitchen to investigate. Apparently, the ticket for my order had been misplaced and my food was never prepared. About 10 minutes later, the young lady brought me the sandwich; however, it had no cheese at all… and it is supposed to come with provolone in addition to the cheese sauce that I chose to have omitted. As it turns out, my order was not only misplaced, but also written incorrectly. Instead of reading«no cheese sauce» as I had requested, it read«no cheese». I returned to the counter to verify on the menu that the item did indeed come with provolone cheese, then let the gentleman from the kitchen know that my sandwich had none. Instead of offering to fix the sandwich correctly, he asked if I’d like a couple of cold slices of provolone to put on the sandwich myself. Disappointed, I took the slices back to the table and added them to my sandwich. About 5 minutes later, my fries arrived at the table. Unfortunately, more than half of them were barely cooked. For my suffering, they offered a small piece of baklava that I did not touch. The best part of my meal was the sweet tea, but that was from Gold Peak, so I won’t give the restaurant any credit for that. If you’re in the mood for a hearty serving of disappointment and have $ 15 that you want to essentially throw away, I highly recommend Olive Tree in South Charleston.

Excellent service. Perfectly priced portions. Packed full of flavor food! Best tomato bisque I’ve ever eaten. Amazing craft beer selection! Must try!

30 of my family were in town for my mother’s funeral. Many of us ate here Friday(22 Jan 16) for lunch; we all ate after the funeral. The food is great. For lunch on Friday, we had a variety of food and none was bad. When we arrived Saturday after the funeral, the owner/chef offered to cook us a buffet, including meditteranian salad, grilled chicken and thin rib eye, and rice pilaf mix. We had the pita bread and hummus. He cooked hotdogs for the kids. It was as good as any shirt — tie restaurant we’ve been in, in WV, GA and elsewhere. Whether it’s 2 of you or a party of 30, please go and enjoy this new and still hidden gem of the Kanawha Valkey!

Absolutely amazing addition to the area. We’ve gotten takeout three times and have had amazing food every time. Everything is homemade and the service is excellent. A few highlights: Much of the menu is Mediterranean and all offerings are tasty. Try the hummus or other dips, and the fries are addictive. The Mediterranean grilled cheese is a real treat, and the Greek salad is fresh and flavorful with or without chicken. There’s a deli for takeout meat and cheese, and the Reuben was a generous portion of corned beef with the right fixings. This is already one of our go-to spots and we look forward to trying even more.

So first time here today and it was definitely a hop-in place to be during lunch, very busy. They have a nice small dining area when you walk in with their deli counter and all the items for sale(deli sandwich sauces, meats, and cheeses) but there isn’t very much room for walking when the place is hoppin. So the menu isn’t something easy to see, would be my biggest complaint, since its only on printed out and laminated legal paper that they pass out at the counter. Which is hard to get to when it’s busy. My Order: Side of Hummus 5⁄5 — Entirely my favorite for the order since it has so much flavor and depth, lots of good lemon and olive oil flavor going on in there. Pita is nice and thin so its not uncomfortably filling and really lets the hummus take the stage. Beware vampires! The Roast Beast 3⁄5 — Definitely not my favorite sandwich due to the meat making the thick wheat bread kinda soggy, maybe also the peppers on there. It ended up not having near enough flavor and just felt like an amalgamation of soggy beef and pickled veggies with a dab of hummus on there. Would not recommend unless your really into the roast beef scene and just need to be that carnal cave-person we all are inside. Overall 4⁄5 Pros: –Nice clean shop –Good atmosphere –Friendly staff –Great selection Cons: –Need full size menu for more readability –Busy during lunch hours –Maybe a few less tomatoes and peppers on The Roast beast

This is a new restaurant in the area. We found this on day four of our trip and ate there 3 times in two days. I had the Turkey Club. It was excellent. The Turkey was stacked high with fresh vegetables and fresh bread. I indulged with the cookies which were also great.

Absolutely delicious! This is a great spot for lunch, dinner and catering services. I had a chicken shawarma and tabouleh and both were perfect! I like the extra touches like pickles and olives on the shawarma and the portions are huge! The atmosphere, staff and owners are very welcoming and there’s a variety of international grocery items available. Nice beer and wine selection as well. Menu states that anything can be made in a half portion for kids. Overall, I couldn’t be more thrilled this place is here and expect to be there regularly.

Arrived on a Tuesday for lunch at 12:30pm and this place was hopping! Though the line stretched 15 feet to the front door, they were able to serve us in a reasonable time and they were calling out our order for pickup before we were able to finish a side of chips. They’re nice people and you could tell they’re community oriented and appreciated business. Chef even brought out some food to sample for an older lady. Ordered the«Olive Tree Shawarma» and loved every bite. Definitely going back! P. S. — no website yet, you’ll find them on Facebook:
