Urban Nirvana Day Spa

My husband and I got a 90 minute couples massage at the Wentworth Mansion location by Jordan and Hailey. We give them both five stars. They were attentive, professional and provided the right amount of pressure. Location was beautiful and relaxing and definitely set the mood.

Nothing better than a Friday afternoon massage. Called and was able to get a same day appointment. Twice in two weeks thanks to my wonderful husband and his golf addiction, he bribes me so he can go play. I always show up 30 – 45 minutes early just to sit and decompose before my massage. I got the whip lash massage, was in a car accident a few months ago and still have bulging disks and neck pain so this was perfect. Leah was wonderful. She asked my pressure preference and checked to make sure I was happy. She earned every penny of my 25% tip. So relaxing. And the shower afterwards left me smelling great, I can’t wait to go back!

Lovely spa setting and super relaxing. Had a great massage and good customer service. I get massages frequently and this gal knew what she was doing. Worked out every knot. Plus I love the extra touches with hot towels. Unfortunately cannot recall her name but I’m sure most of the therapists are good here, from the happy faces of customers in the relax area post massage. They have yummy snacks and water, so plan to stay for a bit after and bask in the glow.

Best wax in town! Experienced staff and always friendly! Highly recommended!!! If your looking for a great place to get a gift this is the place.

This was my first time getting a facial and Tara was wonderful! She explained everything she was going to do before she started and answered all of my questions. When you first arrive, you are taken to a locker room area where you are given a robe to wear. They also have a shower available for after and have everything you need right there, including a blow dryer. The waiting area is very relaxing with dim lights and soothing music. I will definitely be back to see Tara for another facial.

This was my first visit to the Charleston Urban Nirvana (although I’ve been to other locations many times for eyebrow waxes) and my first facial. I was paired with the lovely Courtney, who is also a Connecticut native, so we bonded immediately.
Some of my favorite things about Urban Nirvana are:
— the spa is separated from the shop by a large, speakeasy-​esque door. You feel like you’re part of a secret society when you’re ushered into the waiting room.
— the peaceful quiet music playing in the waiting room and spa rooms.
— the soothing smells.
— the cucumber water and variety of reading material.
— the fact that everyone seems genuinely pleasant and relaxed.
It’s a little pricey, although you’re really getting much more than you pay for. I wish they were up in CT so I could go more often.

I have always had a wonderful experience here. I come for an hour massage every couple months and all of the masseuses have been fantastic. They are always able to accommodate my preference for strong pressure, whether male or female masseuse, and I always come away feeling relaxed. This is definitely my go-​to place when I’m in need of a massage.

In love with this place. Kim is awesome with with my facials and takes into account the type of skin you have when treating. I see her monthly for a fast break facial and it keeps my skin in great shape. She always recommends great products to help with my troublesome skin and don’t over extract. I really enjoy this place and the staff are wonderful!

60 minute couple massage. Got there early. Nice little waiting room with tea, water and snacks. I don’t get a massage often and they took the time to explain all the options so I was comfortable with what I was getting. Staff was very friendly. My wife was pleased with all the services they offered. Massage was great.

By far the best experience in Charleston… I had a migraine for 3 plus days finally had enough and called on a Sunday around 1:00 pm not expecting to be able to get an appointment and to my very pleasant surprise was able to get the last appoinment of the day.
Steven was amazing, very knowlegable and very intuitive as a therapist. As stated above I started with a migraine a walked out an hour later with a very mild head ache.
I stopped getting massage due to the fact that I didn’t want Swedish only with very little Trigger Point or Neuromuscular. Steven was able to get my migraine down, it was great having a therapist that knows Neuromuscular, and Trigger Point my favorites .
The staff out front was so gracious and made me feel comfortable right away, can’t say enough about this place. AMAZING!!!

When you’re in need of some TLC & feel like treating yourself to some pampering, I highly recommend Urban Nirvana. I had the best massage of my life here & left in the best mood. (Seriously, if you were lucky enough to ask me for a favor that day, you know that I was all about spreading the good cheer!)
The staff is knowledgable &, no matter what location you visit, they’re more than willing to share tips to keep your skin & hair healthy & beautiful.
I’m also a huge fan of their store in front of the day spa. I’ve run in here a few times during my lunch break to pick up last minute presents for friends & family. Everything they sell feels like a luxurious treat, & it’s pretty reasonably priced!

I recently relocated to Charleston from Southern California and as most women know, finding replacement stylists, estheticians (and everything else) can be a daunting task! I stumbled upon Urban Nirvana and took my chances with being booked with any open provider. Luckily, I was booked with Marie — she’s fantastic! Very friendly, a great waxer and made the entire experience comfortable, quick and pleasant. Not to mention, she gave me great recommendations for other places in the area to check out.
I would highly recommend Marie and Urban Nirvana for any spa service!

clean, polite, relaxing

Urban Nirvana was just that for me… a chance to get away. I primarily went to UN Hair, but did receive several treatments at the main spa. The facial was great, but the aesthetician was a bit pushy on the products (can’t fault them… that’s their job). I did end up buying them, but tossed them all after 6 weeks when I just couldn’t handle the return of my teenage acne. Also their waxing services are good and reasonably priced.
Cami at Urban Nirvana Hair is absolutely fantastic. She always did a great job, whether it was a trim or something a bit more dramatic. I’m not adventurous when it comes to my hair, primarily because I rarely do anything to my hair besides washing it. Cami was great when I wanted to shake things up a bit and cut a foot off. She gave me a cute layered, shoulder-​length ‘do that was perfect! To top it off, she’s super friendly and outgoing.
Prices are reasonable. $ 55 for a wash, cut, and style. Highlights with a cut ran ~$ 120.
So sad to have moved… now I’m hoping to find someone just as good out here.

Great spot for *My First Facial*
Small but relaxing day spa with chic Asian-​inspired décor. My aesthetician was really chatty but excellent. She gave me lots of great advice, none of which included pricey store brands (for instance, she recommended using Jergens with Aloe as an everyday moisturizer). I appreciated the honesty. She even threw in a free microderm abrasion treatment (guess I needed it!). As a first-​time client, I didn’t expect to get naked and climb into a heated blanket bed for a facial, but found it extremely relaxing. Nice touch: cucumber water in the waiting room. If I could afford it, I’d go back soon.
