Cooper’s Corner Mart

There aren’t many mom and pop gas stations anymore, and this is definitely one everyone should experience. I went to Cooper’s Corner after a grueling weekend of kayaking around the Ohio River and into Charlestown State Park. I was ready to fuel up… on food. There was a fairly large deli menu including plenty of vegetarian options. One can eat on the run, or eat on a shaded picnic bench as the locals do. The attendant was really friendly and made sure that all food orders were exactly to each customer’s liking.
Cooper’s Corner is also located on the Adventure Cycling Map, The Underground Railroad Route. It is nestled in between Madison, IN and Louisville. It is definitely an ideal spot to get a cold drink, a hot eat, and some cool shade all on the cheap.
