Nice place and pleasant if you get the cottage with the kitchen. Beds a little hard, otherwise no complaints.

Owner stood outside staring at us the entire time we were there, then when I had a beer he accused me of being underage despite being of age and tried to force me to show him identification. We ended up getting a refund and as we were leaving we saw him standing in the doorway of his house taking pictures of our car and license plate. Other than the owner, the cottages are very small with defective water heater systems. There was a passive aggressive note on the TV saying to not under any circumstances touch the TV. Don’t expect to be able to relax and have a fun vacation if you book a room at Hathaway Cottages.

Ok. I had to run to Pawcatuck for business & decided to stay in the area for 2 nights to explore the area. I started snaking my way along the Coastlline & decided Charlestown was a central & great little town to explore. I also had my sweet Basset hound with me. I called Hathaways & I was in luck. A Pet friendly guest cottage was avail!
Cindy couldn’t be nicer & the grounds are lovely with a fenced in pool with nicely spaced cottages surrounding. The cottage is adorable: white bead board with cute green trim! Each cottage has a AC, MW, mini fridge, dinette set. cute luv seat sofa & brass Queen bed with ensure bath. Clean as a whistle & all furnishings in great condition!
Cindy offered some great recommendations for dining (breakfast, deli’s, dinner, nightlife) as well as local activities, cultural attractions.
Just a fabulous place for a comfy, clean, relaxing vacation in Southern Coastal RI!
