For what it is, hell yeah FOUR STARS. (For what is available on a Sunday night in this area… ALL THE STARS.)
It is not fancy. It will not blow your taste buds out of the water.
But if you’ve been hiking for a few hours up the road at Charlestown State Park and have zero interest in driving ALL THE WAY back to Louisville to eat… you have very few options. The weird, not good, mexican place in the train car right next door to this place, or the dive-​y biker bar with burgers and too loud 90s music. In this situation…*always* choose the biker bar. ALWAYS.
Inexpensive but delicious burgers. Plenty or bacon when you order it on your burger. Hush puppies as a side option!
And as a commentary on the facilities, I have seen and used worse ones at places I frequent much more often. So no worries there.
I don’t think I would go out of my way to come here… because it is WAY out of the way. But if in the area, I would certainly not be opposed to going back.
