The location is very convenient and I have never had a difficult time making an appointment nor have I ever had to wait too long. The team is friendly and the atmosphere is relaxed. This is my ‘go to’ for a mani/pedi — nothing fancy, but they get the job done efficiently. My boyfriend likes it too.

The worst nail experience of my life! I have my nails done for the past 16 years and this was by far the worse manicure I’ve ever gotten. I’ve just moved to Charlestown o decided to try this place out. Well first thing I noticed was the lack of hygiene(normally I would just leave but I had a big party to attend and no time to find anywhere else). The 2 ladies that work there told me to pay upfront and pic a color. All nail polishes were old. Then after waiting for a while one of them stated my nails. She used the same nipper she was using on the lady before me and pretended not to listening when i asked for a sterilized one.(The 2 talk in Korean between them non stop) she didn’t take any cuticles off even after I asked her to. She put a liquid in my cuticles after and spilled all over my coat and told me to go to a sink and wash my hands. Painting was even worse — the nail polish was old, it looked all stained. She did not cover the whole nails and didn’t clean the excess off. I could do better job with my eyes closed! After she tonight it was done(lots of cleaning and fixing the nail polish was obviously in much need) she just got up and started a new client! Long story short, when I got back home 2 of the nails were already ruined, one of them broke during the party because she didn’t file them and I’ll have to go to another mani today to try to look acceptable!

I always get my manicures here but I never will again. I just went last week and while I was sitting at the dryer, a client walked in after me and went to the woman I just had. The employee ran the tools she had used for me under water at the sink briefly and then started using them on the new client! That is not only nasty but also unsanitary! I’m assuming this is their practice and the tools weren’t sanitized before me either. Also, the décor is bad and it felt like the heat wasn’t on.

Nail Sensation gives hands down the best pedicures in the city. Without giving away TMI, I’ll just say that I am a runner and sometimes when I see my feet I wish I could run away from them. They are so thorough and leave even the worst conditions looking awesome and pretty again. One thing that some people may notice is that they don’t have the biggest or best color selection, but sometimes that is a good thing if you’re anywhere as indecisive as I am! Great interactive staff and overall a wonderful experience. Tip Big!

I came for a manicure on a rainy weekday during my lunch break(walking distance from work is a good thing!). Originally I wanted a regular mani but I was talked into a gel manicure. Usually I don’t like being told what I should get but I thought I’d try it. It lasted over 2 weeks! It probably would have lasted longer but my nails were growing out so it looked weird. They did a great job– good attention to detail and they chat with you enough to make you feel like they want to remember you but not so much that they’re being intrusive. The salon itself is somewhat small with no-frills and could use some work, but all of the instruments were clean. Prices were reasonable — $ 25 for the gel mani. I’ll come back!

Best pedi in town! Cheap and good!!! You can get a mani and pedi for $ 32, most places in the area cost more for just a pedi. Bring cash for the tip, they don’t add it to the bill!

I just moved in down the street, and have been here twice already. I got a mani/pedi with a friend when she was in town and we were both really pleased. Then tonight, I got just a mani. They do a wonderful job and are a pleasure to chat with. $ 32 for a mani/pedi(that might just be a limited-time special, though) and just $ 12 for a manicure. BIG fan. :) They are also open late — 8pm every night except Sunday(6pm on Sun).

i have been here twice, the first time i got a pink and white fill, one of the bests i have had in boston! messed up a little but corrected the mistake! the second visit i got my fake nails removed and got a shellac manicure, it came out awesome! so pleased! i will def return. The prices are very good just about the same if not cheaper than some other boston places, only complaint i have is both times i went my nail techs werent too friendly and were very difficult to understand which caused them to become frustrated

This is the best set of pink and white acrylic I’ve ever had. I can easily go three or more weeks between visits. Jack and Nancy are the best! Open on Sunday’s too! Definitely recommend… call ahead for appointment.

This husband and wife team are by far the cutest couple I’ve ever seen working together. From the first time you go, they’re sweet sweet sweet and the more you come back, the happier they are to see you. I’d suggest calling ahead, since it’s only the two of them, and I have waited an hour to get my nails done. But Nancy’s pedicures are worth the wait and together they are so funny… The prices are not bad for Boston and they’re conveniently located right outside monument sq. in Charlestown. If you live in or around Charlestown, the North End or even Somerville, I’d highly recommend checking it out one of these days! :)
