This Restaurant has not been open in years. Info needs to be updated… The General Stanton Inn where Restaurant is located has been up for sale for many years… It was sold once, but did not make it. Original owner took it back, for sale again, she is renting rooms only, no Restaurant…

Looove this place. Its cozy and rustic looking on the inside. The food is great and simple. Never had a meal i didnt like. The staff is engaging and friendly. ONE band that seems to have a bi-weekly rotation can be a bit loud… and their full«light show» is unnecessary. Great place for a couple drinks and apps.

The family and I stopped by the Night Watch Tavern on our way home from the kids soccer game. We did not plan on visiting, we just happen to see the sign, didn’t even know if the joint was open and we stopped. I am glad we did. We walked into the Tavern and were immediately greeted by Mora, the waitress. She made us feel completely at home as she spent time sharing stories and thoughts with us. The atmosphere was great, a rustic setting in one of the oldest Inns in the U.S. To top all we happen to visit during«open mic night» which just added to the experience. The menu is advertised at Pub Fare — appetizers, chili, soups, burgers, wraps, sandwiches, gyros along with some pasta and seafood dishes. For Pub Fare, the food was outstanding and the beer on tap was cold! If your travels take you down US-1 into Charlestown, RI stopping by the Night Watch Tavern is a must!
