Great selection of baby and kid gifts, toys, clothes, etc. The set-up of the store looks really good, Jodi(the owner), really knows how to present merchandise well. When people say ‘buy local’ and support your small businesses, this is the place to do that.

Great spot for locals & tourists alike. Jodi(the owner) is super kind and helpful. Many friends and I have purchased baby gifts here. The shop is beautiful and they carry unique items that set apart from the rest. I like how they are always putting together ideas for baskets and also able to ship anywhere. The service and selection are what set it apart and make me want to go out of my way when in the area. Why buy a mass produced/big box item when you can get something one of a kind and unique, right? As a side note, I was shocked to read a negative review and think maybe this was an off day or just not a day Jodi was there. It’s disappointing when someone will use Unilocal as a way to blast a local business owner and I would highly encourage all folks to come visit GaGa for truly oustanding service.

Have a look at my reviews; it’s rare for me to write something truly negative. Almost never happens because I tend to dig most people and I’ve been blessed with a pretty animated personality. Lends itself to less than wonderful situations. Not so much here. My boyfriend(he’s White and I’m half) walked out before I did. He told me that he felt the flavor of racism and refused to honor the store with his money. It’s the first time I’ve EVER heard him say something like this… and sadly I knew it was true. It was pretty obvious. One of the first times I’ve experienced something like it. Upsetting to him as he was excited to share his home state and particularly this region with me. I have to say that I’m really disappointed to write this. Bf and I were visiting his people in the Northern Michigan area. Ga Ga looked adorable-we decided to stop in. Now, it should have appealed to me for several reasons. In terms of merchandising, it was pretty inviting, if somewhat on the plainjane Lilly Pulitzer side. Secondly, we were actually looking for shower and baby gifts. Perfect! Thirdly, I am a New Yorker. Translated: I’m accustomed to overspending and often don’t mind. And I’m lucky enough to have a generous bf. Well, lemme tell you. Upon entering, we were greeted warmly by a super sweet young sales person. I was admiring a diaper bag and she came over and showed me an alternate color. Then another woman(was this Jodi the owner?) walked by and whispered to her that it also came in another color. She wasn’t as warm and friendly to the salesgirl as I would have liked-nor(more to the point) did she greet us actually. Aside from a group that left while we were in there, it was just us. Now-please understand. I would have bought the bag there and more things I didn’t need. But when I asked about shipping and if folks could call and order, instead of thinking of ways to MAKEMONEY by providing friendly and positive answers, she flatly told me twice that her site is down and it would be hard for folks to order… Again, I offered that I knew of a registry site that allowed users to add items from ANY store online/freestanding…nothing. She repeated negative sort of answers vs. finding positive ways to make my sale. No smile… no asking if we’d like to see other things… no asking if there was something specific we were looking for re babies… nothing. It’s rarely ever happened to me, but she appeared to be genuinely uninterested in my business. By that time, my bf had walked out-he was turned OFF. The young sales girl remained friendly and appropriate, thanked us for coming and offered us the store’s card. The other woman — nothing. She busied herself with tasks behind the register. Uninterested in us or our money. The young girl… well she was lovely. Sucks that she has to work there. We were reminded of Julia in «Pretty Woman» after Richard Gere gives her the credit card, remember? She goes back to the corny spot with all of her purchases after they discriminated against her? GaGa could have scored lots of loot with us. Shop elsewhere.
