For my first experience with this location, I left feeling really disappointed! I don’t often write reviews, aside from a few exceptional instances for outstanding customer service. I have experience working retail and more often than not if an experience is not amazing, I can usually empathize with the employee and understand the stressors that come with the job. Unfortunately, this time I could not. The employee who interacted with us was not friendly, and though it has been six or seven days since then I still feel inclined to write a review. We went around 7:00pm on a Saturday, and while the rest of Blakeney was lively there was no one else in the store besides the employees. I wasn’t expecting it to be but the contrast was noticeable. The man who approached us said hello flatly and asked what we were looking for. He did not greet us with a smile or seem eager to help. It’s got to be boring while you’re watching everyone outside going about their business on a Saturday night, but come on. He showed us where the slacks were for the size we needed, and then stood and watched us flip through the hangers. He may have said two or three things in response to our questions but stood there silently. The pants we were hoping to find in an olive color were no longer made, and there were many people who came in for them. That’s all I can remember him saying. He didn’t offer help or alternative suggestions. When we picked out a few pairs, I asked him if I needed to give them to him to start a changing room(the pants kept slipping off the hanger, and I wasn’t sure if that was standard practice since I had never been in to any of their stores before), and he just sort of looked at me and said, «No, you can just hang on to them until you’re ready.» He didn’t shift his weight from leaning on the pants rack, and at first I felt awkward because I thought I had asked something they didn’t really do. But the more I thought about it, I became irritated. I don’t know if the employees receive commission or not, but for the price of the pants, I would’ve traveled out to South Park or elsewhere before helping this guy with anything. There is a gentleman at the Carolina Place Dillard’s we have gone back to many times because he is extremely helpful and friendly, and makes you feel like you are purchasing high-end clothing. Walking into this store, I was expecting the same(if not better) service. If Jos. A. Bank has a motto of «setting the standard», the man we interacted with did not get that memo. I don’t even really like saying that, but it was such a disappointing experience that I would not recommend anyone giving their money here.

If I could give this place a negative score I would. What a joke!!! BIg shout out to the manager who ruined my wedding. Las I checked when someone is marrying on a Wed you don’t ask for the suit back the Monday before you are getting married! There is a reason why we NEVER went to this store and its simply because it’s beneath us! Save yourself time and minor amounts of money and don’t even bother with this place.

I’m a regular customer of Jos A Bank. These guys sold me two suits in the past 8 months, at other locations, and I’m very happy with each of them. The one thing that makes me hesitate ever returning back to the Rea Rd location is the staff. I had to drop off a pair of pants to be tailored. No rush. Just need need them by the end of June. I walked in and A) one of the staff members just stared at me and B) barely were there customers in the store. I had to almost raise my voice in order to get his attention. He led me to a changing room and then disappeared. I came out, with ZERO direction and received no further word from the staff. I had to go track down the tailor in order to have her take a look at my pants. She was very kind and helpful. I went to the cash register and one of the men standing there looked at me and barely nodded with a greeting as I tried to say hello. The man running the register was nice. A bit pushy with up-selling, but nice. I’m not trying to be picky or looking for special treatment, but I’m not a suit aficionado like all of the Jos A Bank employees here. My recommendation is to at least TRY and work with a smile and help a guest through the entire process of being helped. I just felt lost and it left a bitter taste in my mouth. Sorry, Jos A Bank.

This is a new location… located in Blakeney. This is a smaller store than most, but it has everything a man would need for business. From casual shirts and pants to suits, ties, leather goods and shoes it has it all. The staff is always friendly, and willing to assist in your purchase. I love the specials they offer and it is always nice to take advantage of the buy one get one free sales. I have added a few pictures of this location This is my go to store for clothes. NCFoodGuy
