Hometown fun for the entire family. Great service, tableside butcher cuts your steak to order. Complimentary salad bar and soup. Very nice! We highly recommend. $ 25 for a steak with a salad bar… wow! Open late, super nice people and relaxed atmoshpere.

Peddler’s Post reminded me of that one store in Asheville downtown on a hilly street. It is filled with odds and ends from the past few decades and you never know what you may stumble across. The huge space(half a warehouse building sharing with the produce market) neatly divided into rooms and booths(where more«fragile» items like glasswares, clothing etc are) and then a big open unconditioned area with bigger furnitures and books and boxes and boxes of old vinyl records. It was entertaining to say the least to look through everything. It is a great place to stroll around, especially on a rainy day. I mean, where else am I going to find a solid metal iron, clothing patterns(yes, the paper ones we used to get from the back of Walmart) and a sliding ruler in Charlotte? Heck, take the young ones(not too young for there are quite a lot of breakable items in tight setting), it can be a live history lesson, they can see how big everything used to be.
