The Arboretum

First of all, please take my advice DO NOT lease an apartment from these people. If I could have given them .01 of a star I would have.
Just for a few examples/​evidence why I say this:
1. Poorly managed – they do not answer their office phones, or even return phone calls/​voice mail messages; for that matter
2. Their «maintenance» people – spend the majority of their time riding around in circles on golf carts. Upon moving in, I noticed that an extremely important appliance (for the sake of anonymity) was not working AT ALL, I called and left 4 voice mails regarding this issue. It took a personal visit to the office on my behalf and 2 and a half weeks before they even sent someone out to look at it. The maintenance guy assumed the problem was that I did not know you needed to flip a switch in order to turn it on (of course I knew that having remodeled houses for nearly 3 years). He told me that I was correct in my assessment and he would inform the office of the situation and «see which direction the office wanted to take…» (direct quote). That was nearly another 2 and a half weeks ago. It is has now been 1 month + and I still have not received any kind of outreach or word from the office discussing the matter.
3. Untrustworthy and Unethical – there has been numerous complaints and even residents claiming to have walked in on them typing up their own reviews on «Google» (reference Google reviews of the complex for validation). If you even glance at Unilocal’s guidelines for reviews, its one of the top rules and even in bold for employees/​businesses to write their own reviews; is a complete breach of trust (paraphrasing).
4.“Pet Friendly”? – think again. The pet stations are almost never emptied of the used dog bags, and they do not restock unused dog bags in order to pick up after your pet. The kicker is, if they see you being negligent (pot calling the kettle black???) then they fine you for $ 200-​$ 250.00. Ironic, huh?
In summation:
I unfortunately did not heed the other reviews that I read on Google and decided to lease anyways. If I have any regrets in my life, moving into this poorly ran apartment complex would be at the top of said list.
