The dumplings are always made fresh and fast! This is my go-to place for a quick lunch or snack. Not to mention, the restaurant’s interior really has a feel of it’s own! Always a peaceful and quiet atmosphere. A great place to try to get some office or school work done!

This place is worth the hype. Delicious dumplings which are fried to order and smothered in delicious sweet soy sauce for cheap! Steamed pork buns are on point. Haven’t tried the noodles because they are cold. Overall a good snack place.

came here based on a recommendation food pork bun-good, a bit too bready dumplings-good, greasy though cold noodles with cucumber-good, a bit flavorless this is not a meal place, its more like a snack place, fyi price cheap for what you get ambiance this was strange, i felt like i was on a set inside a pier1 imports, which is probably where they got most of the décor its a little hard to find in the shopping mall, as its a bit tucked in service fine, the spanish counter dudes were fine, i didnt expect them inside a chinese noodle place overall glad to try it, but would not come back

The dumplings are really good. The pork buns are delicious but you can actually buy those at a good Asian market. The cold sesame noodles are ok, could use a bit more flavor though. It’s nice for a cheap quick bite of food. What I don’t like is the fact that the inside of the restaurant looks like someone took all the leftover stuff from a yard sale and stuck it there.

This is a great casual place for some great dumplings. I always order the fried dumplings with soy sauce, sesame noodles with peanut sauce and a diet coke. I think this usually comes out to about $ 7 which is great. The food is consistent across all locations in town — downtown, the Corner and Seminole square. Highly recommend!

Nothing super wrong with this place. The dumplings were little grease bombs but boy did they taste good. I suspect I would appreciate this food more while inebriated, but all in all, not the worst dumpling out there.

The menu here is very simple and most people order the dumplings and nothing else. I had to try the dumplings, plus the noodles plus a pork bun because that’s what I do when I go somewhere for the first time. The verdicts: The dumplings are awesome. The filling has good flavor and the dumplings are fried well and are not greasy. The soy-chili sauce they automatically pour over everything is great and adds to your experience. If you’re not ordering anything else on the menu, get two orders of these instead. The cold noodles are just egg noodles with onions and apples. The menu said it was cucumbers but it was apples. I’m okay with the change but they should tell you beforehand. I thought this was pretty meh but I ended up making peanut sauce for this and then it was good. The pork bun filling was good — not overly sweet or salty and a decent amount of filling. The bun itself was just okay, I’ve definitely had better. The verdict: order the dumplings and call it a day. And definitely get it to go because the ambiance here is lacking.

The last time i was in Cville… i visited the corner store downtown… but because traffic is murder down that way my friend took me to this location. Marco & Luca… is exactly what it says dumplings… fried and served with a soy sauce and chili sauce. Convenience and affordability. If they told you that your paying $ 8.20 for 6 fried dumplings and a small container of cold sesame noodles or sweet and sour noodles… Perfect snack… filling and not over done. Although I will admit sometimes the dumplings are not as crispy but they still taste really good so that doesn’t bother me to much. the sesame noodles do need a bit of something but they were still good. Overall…you go to marco and luca not for a meal but for a quick snack. It’s a small menu but hey if you off a few good items who cares. The décor is a bit strange at this location but hey your there for dumplings not ambiance lol.

I’ve eaten crazy good pork buns in my day(in Asia and elsewhere). The pork buns here are not very good. They are about on the same level as convenience store fare in some countries. BUT, their noodles aren’t bad, and their fried dumplings would be considered pretty good in any country. I would rank it 3 stars, but for the prices, it deserves 4. The counter guy was also very kind and the décor was nice — reminded me of a South East Asian bar with the TV screen. Made me wonder if they do karaōke there some nights.

This is one of the few restaurants in town that is inexpensive but also delicious. I’ve been here dozens of times and the service is very friendly and the food is quite good. They don’t have the largest selection on their menu but it’s not that big of a deal. This is not the type of place you go to spend 45 minutes to an hour on a date, but if you are in a rush and need something to eat this is the place to go.

Hmm. The great reviews drew us here, as well as its proximity to our hotel as we were in town for a race. Short menu, no problemo here. Drinks from a soft drink fridge, no problemo here. What I do have a problem with, however, is that as I came in, I spotted the guy working the kitchen dumping a bag of store-bought dumplings into the boiling pot of water. They don’t make the dumplings here — and from the shape of the buns, I can tell those are store-bought as well. The only saving grace: their hot and sour soup was interesting with seaweed, tofu, and fresh scallions — and spicy and sour enough(but that was about it — no other real flavors about it). The sauce was decent as well, with a good dollop of Sriracha. But, yeah… that’s about it. I’m thinking I’m going to go visit the Asian mart down the street to see if they sell their dumplings. That’d be sad.

Yummmmeee… Excellent excellent dumplings. great spicy hot sauce if you want it. The cold noodle dish is also wonderful. Easy place to buy them up here at this strip mall. Not as quaint as downtown, but easy for stopping by on the way home from work to pick up dumplings galore for the family. What a great place

I have been enjoying Marco & Luca Dumplings for over 10 years now! I frequented the downtown mall location when I lived in Charlottesville in high school. Every time I visit home, I always insist on getting my dumpling fix on. These are truly the BESTDUMPLINGS! I have been spoiled by Marco & Luca Dumplings — other dumplings do not stand a chance and they always disappoint. They sell dumplings in boxes of 6 for $ 3.50. Yes, the price has increased over the years but that is to be expected. The dumplings are fried to a crisp exterior and served with a spicy sauce. They come in a styrofoam box and I always shake the box to throughly cover my dumplings with the sauce. If you are visiting Charlottesville or live here, I highly recommend trying these dumplings! Grab one box for a snack or order two for a lunch sized portion. I promised you will be WOWed. My stomach is ROARING just thinking about them.

It’s a dumpling place so yes the menu is limited. However the dumplings are fresh and crisp(and cheap).

This place was cheap, fast and tasty. The menu is very limited, but my dumplings were delicious. The ambiance is eclectic. Perfect little hole in the wall.
