Fresh, delicious Mexican food. Better than average for sure!

Just as wonderful as the original location. Love the food. It is so fresh and delicious. I highly recommend it to everyone. It is so much better than the other Mexican restaurants in this area.

Enjoyed the food. Comes out quick and good chips and salsa. I had the tamales and they were excellent. Lots of sauce on them. I may get that on the side next time!

This is a great little Mexican joint. Tacos, fajitas and enchiladas were enjoying by everyone. Price is good as well and the staff are friendly and helpful

Just like the Ruckersville location, but at a more convenient location. Great Mexican food, and for the price too.

Tonight (1÷9÷2016) I ate at this new location for Mi Casa for the first time. I’ve been a fan of the restaurant from the first time I ate at the original location which is about 10 minutes north in Ruckersville. The food is just as good as the original location and I am amazed at how quickly the food you order comes out! I guess when a cook isn’t swamped with orders Mexican food doesn’t take long to fix but I can vouch for them they are making it fresh!
One of the last times I ate the Ruckersville location I asked the owner (who I’ve known for years) if Mexican food just doesn’t take long to cook or are they pre-​making it. He told me to come behind the counter and he shows me the kitchen. I was the only customer and already had my food so there wasn’t anything being cooked and the only food I saw was a big pile of ground beef the cook was cutting down into smaller portions and wrapping. There wasn’t anything being cooked to save for later and the kitchen was clean!!!
Raul the owner has a big passion for what comes out of his kitchen and he wants to make sure you are satisfied. BOTH locations of Mi Casa are well lit, clean and colorful!!! You don’t feel like you’re eating in the dark and there isn’t tacky murals or decorations on the wall nor are the tables and chairs old.
The best way to describe Mi Casa is it’s a very clean quality food fast style Mexican restaurant. You walk in (if you’re dining in pick a table), read the menu to decide what you want, go to the counter to order, get your drink and sit back down (if you’re dining in) and they bring you a basket of chips and salsa then when you’re food is ready they bring it to you. The staff is friendly, the food is fresh, hot, delicious and reasonably priced. This new location even has a small area of some booths that almost seem closed in from the rest of the place if you want some privacy but still accessible to the counter.
You can order a lunch combo any time of day without having to pay extra just because it might not be during lunch time hours. That’s because Raul knows not everyone can eat or wants to eat dinner size portions (I’ve heard him tell that to my father before)! His passion shows each time!
The only thing I wish was on the menu is dinner combos. But that’s just me and it in doesn’t affect how I feel about this place because I know when I eat here I am going to get a great meal!

A home run! Great food and the best staff taking care of you. The other reviewer was right, it’s «California Quality» packed into a fast food sit down restaurant. The service is fast and pleasant. The table service is a wonderful surprise. Try it and I think you will find it’s your new favorite place to eat. After a few orders they will remember you and your order.
A wonderful family owned business.

This is better than your run of the mill Mexican joints here in Charlottesville. A different twist than the typical Guadalajara or other spin off from there. Food was fresh and tasty. You order from the counter and they bring the food to you. Reminds me of some of my favorite places from Southern California.
