Mona Lisa has been on my list to visit for quite some time. I didn’t know what to make for dinner tonight and thought it would be the perfect time to try their fresh pasta. The store itself is adorable with an array of fresh pasta, raviolis, desserts, as well as dry pastas and wines. They also make pizza and sandwiches, which I will definitely try next time. I ordered the rosemary and garlic fettuccine and they cut it to order. It cooks in 90 seconds and is so tender. When cooked the rosemary flavor really came through. It was chewy and wonderful, exactly how I like my pasta. My husband also wanted a cannoli so we got one to go. It was OK. The filling had a little strong of what I think was an amaretto flavor, and the shell itself was more of a fried egg roll than a cannoli shell. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t the best I’ve had. The staff were also very friendly and helpful. I’ll definitely be back soon to try the pizza and some more(of their many flavors of) pasta.

I had no idea this place existed. Was nearby with a friend, we each got 2 slices of pizza. The pizza is tastier and cheaper by the slice than Christian’s. Not as highly trafficked as the Corner though. I got the pesto cheese and the mushroom pepperoni. The latter was definitely the winner, I would come back for it. Really want to try the handmade pasta based on the cute display.

Hand-cut pasta, home made sauce, and a bevy of delicious Italian sandwiches to go? Count me in. I came across this gem the other night and was pleasantly surprised. It is a small local shop that offers everything from a counter full of meats, olives, and cheeses, to a few shelves full of pasta, wine, and other Italian finds. I purchased dolmas, La Giaconda which had fresh mozzarella, zesty tomatoes and basil, and the Da Vinci which was a conglomerate of «three-seed baton with genoa salami, sopresatta, provolone cheese, tomato, mixed greens, house dressing and sun-dried tomato pesto». Everything I ordered turned out excellent. For $ 5.99 per sandwich I felt it was well worth the money. I’m definitely ocming back!
