The sweet crepes are out-of-this-world amazing(my favorite is the strawberry and nutella), but the savory ones could use some(or any!) salt. Seating is very limited, but sometimes there is a friendly dog nearby to keep you company while you wait for your crêpe :)

Not bad for a hole in the wall, literally! It’s a walk up window and you order their crepes filled w/meats and veggies. I liked it but my friend did not like the. Crêpe he ordered. The only reason I gave it 4 stars was bc of the wait. There were only two people in front of us but it still took over 30min for our good to be ready. Still like the food, just would rather have faster service.

Such a cute place! Very charming and the guys working there are very nice and friendly! My husband comes here frequently but today was my first visit and even in the pouring rain this little gem exuded charm! Crepes were delicious!

First time today. Ordered ham and cheese crêpe. Waited approx 45 mins Saturday morning… ok…understandable. Finally got the crêpe, took one bite and noticed that ham was cold and EXTREMELY salty(the only ham that should be salty is country ham in my book) and cheese not melted at all. Is giving this experience a 2 star too much? Might try a different Item on the menu next time if someone else pays for it :/.

Zero stars but I couldn’t post until I clicked at least one. I ordered a ham egg and cheese. The egg is raw. Not undercooked. Raw. Like she cracked it open and folded up the crêpe and put it in the box. Of course they are now closed. $ 2.75 for 10 min parking. Almost $ 10 for a raw egg. Super pregnant super hungry and seriously irritated.

This place is delicious. It’s a cute little hole in the wall that packs a punch. They are great for dessert, a snack or a meal at any time downtown. I have to fight myself to not always just stop by when I’m in the area.

What a cute little place! It’s all outdoor seating, and you order through a small window on a little brick building. I ordered the Return of the King(chicken, avocado, and feta) and Chocolate Delights(Nutella and strawberries). The Return of the King is DELICIOUS. Every bite was exploding with flavor even though it was a simple crêpe. The Chocolate Delight got quite messy, but you can’t go wrong with chocolate and strawberries! Quite a hip place to get a quick bite.

My crêpe was not nearly cooked enough. Contents were just heated past cold. Cheese wasn’t melted. Very disappointing. Also wouldn’t give me a cup of water because of some policy. That alone would be enough to give them a 1 star rating.

Gluten-free and vegan friendly! I opted for the veggie + cheese(feta) savory crêpe instead of the tofu crêpe based on popularity. My veggie crêpe was very good. It could have used a bit of Mediterranean seasoning or maybe just some salt and pepper(some bites without the feta made it taste a little bland), to give it 5 stars – but all in all this place seems like a quick, yummy, healthy option for lunch and I’ll be going back.

This place is amazing. We try to go every time we are in town. Unfortunately, just about every single time we’re in town, The Flat is closed. It’s kind of impressive how often it’s closed when we try to come. Definitely worth going, but definitely call before you show up.

Little dive in a small brick building that looks like it was built for one of the Three Little Pigs, I can’t wait for my next visit to C-Ville. My absolute must stop here fave.

Quirky, YES! charming YES! Yet maybe because I choose savory over sweet, that I was disappointed. Per the menu, written on a chalk boards hanging outside the order windows, all the food is locally sourced. I ordered a sausage, cheese, spinach and onion crêpe. Made at order after a 12 minute wait, the crêpe was hot and wrapped in paper with a napkin. The filling fell to the bottom, it became fluid-like, there was so much crêpe to get through. The crêpe was just a thin grilled pancake, the filling was a glop of cheese, uncooked(becoming cooked by virtue of being in the crêpe) spinach and the unremarkable sausage bits. It was a soggy, gloppy, unremarkable handheld mess, that tasted like a pile of cheese & meat that I could have microwaved at home.

Almost missed it as it is hidden under bricks… but definitely a rewarding trip! Love their lemon crêpe as dessert, so refreshing. Reasonable price, but be aware — cash only!(what a tragedy for people like me who seldom brings cash around) Also a bit chilly in winter since there’s no indoor/outdoor seating. But this place is divine. Can’t wait to try more options on their menu!

Though you could simply pass by this little eatery with one single glance, do not be fooled by this one-windowed creperie tucked behind the leaves and trees. The Flat’s has some of the most mouth-watering crepes — both savory and sweet. A personal favorite — the Temptation of Adam(think cheesy, meaty sweetness wrapped up in a single bite). With its reasonable prices and fairly versatile menu, The Flat is a steal!

Wow this place is fantastic hole in the wall! My crêpe maker Collin was a god send. He does magic with his hands! The things he can do with Nutella! Mind blown…

The crepes are well-done and fillings are pretty good. It would be nice if they offered more variety on the menu for both entrée and dessert crepes though. I also like the small hole-in-the-wall setting and reasonable prices.

It’s an adorable setting with its vine-covered walls, chalk menu and cozy seating. The menu looked promising with its savory and sweet options, along with the rave reviews on Unilocal.Ultimately, I found the food tasty but this was not my fav crêpe experience. What worked: *Cute ambiance(see above) *Quick service — The whole experience of ordering, waiting AND eating didn’t take more than 20 minutes with two other people ahead of me and my husband. *Affordable pricing — For the portion size and quality of ingredients, it’s amazing nothing cost more than about $ 5 – 8. *Fresh, local, quality ingredients like the sausage from Rock Barn.(I ordered the Southside of Heaven with creamy/buttery Brie instead of the Cheddar, and it was divine combo with the wilted spinach and slightly caramelized onions.) What didn’t work: *I understand that they wrap the crêpe in a cone of wax paper for convenience so that it’s walkable, but — as other reviewers have pointed out — all the liquid pools into the bottom, making it soggy. I also don’t like crêpe on its own, so I ended up discarding the first few bites/top portion of the wrapped crêpe cone because it’s void of the precious filling. I really would have preferred to eat this with knife and fork. *I also agree with another reviewer about the Banana and Nutella not having enough banana. I also missed the whipped cream as a topping. And this was not only difficult, but messy to eat, for me and my husband, as the wrapped cone constantly oozed of chocolate.

Yummy crepes. Cute tiny brick building. Wide overhang that protected me in a driving rainstorm while I ate my yummy crêpe, and chatted with strangers. Loved it!

Part of the prize with The Flat is finding it, and making it like your own special discovery, a la the Secret Garden. It’s a totally unexpected and quirky(and cash-only) crêpe operation that is quite literally a hole-in-the-wall that you find behind a vine-covered wall. Whether you’re craving a sweet or a more savory crêpe, The Flat has got you covered with their varieties of the famous French pancake. There’s also some limited bench– and bar-style seating within the small, semi-covered footprint that The Flat occupies, but you can also opt to take your folded pancake to go(it’s packaged to allow that). I think I had the notion that with such a charming discovery of this cool spot that the lady working behind the window would have been a bit more loquacious and friendly herself, alas she had taken the French thing quite literally with her crêpe business and was quite serious, but she got the job done quickly and efficiently. The menu is written out on a chalkboard, which adds to the charm, and remember that it’s cash only. They also sell a limited selection of beverages. My husband and I shared his all-time favorite type of crêpe, a la banana and Nutella, but we were a bit disappointed in the lack of banana and the OD on Nutella(it’s possible, trust me). The crêpe pancake itself was also a little too thick, especially at the folded bottom where it turned into a gloppy mess with the Nutella, so we didn’t finish it. However, it’s definitely a cool little spot that’s worth a try for either a portable small lunch or a special dessert/snack. Grab some cashola and try it out!

Food — We ordered the Nutella crêpe with bananas and strawberries and the Return of the King. I was quite surprised at how much of each ingredient was put into each crêpe — the owner was definitely generous with the portions and made it well worth the money. The Return of the King was somewhat dry but there’s nothing a sip of water can’t fix. Overall the crêpe was very savory and the mix of chicken, feta and avocado were very compatible. The Nutella crêpe was the star of the show though — it stole my heart! The best crêpe I’ve had on the East Coast by far. The pictures I posted does not do the crepes justice — don’t judge a book by its cover! Price — Like I said the prices were really affordable for portion given to us. I couldn’t complain! Service — The lady that made the crêpe and took our order was very nice and approachable. Once the crêpe was done we just had to go get it. Overall, this is probably my favorite crêpe spot by far on the East Coast, I would definitely come back again if I am in the area.
