Great diner food. Quick service on a Friday night and all the staff was super friendly. Nice find.

The Villa has the BEST breakfast in Charlottesville. Amazing eggs and pancakes. Staff is great and food is consistently very good. Family friendly.

Tip: ask for butter up front so it can soften to a non-brick cold status, else the food you put it on will be cold

A decent place for quick ok food. Manager guy at front is very pleasant, wait staff is not. I’ve been there a number of times when on business trips in Cville. Never been in a restaurant with so many frowning faces among the staff — every time. Food is slightly overpriced and very average. Great location though.

Fast, tasty, and cheap. Also, very nice service. We went before a UVA game for a quick lunch. Club sandwich was very good. Fries were awesome. Wife had gyro which seemed tasty. Looking forward to branching out and trying their baked spaghetti or breakfast.

This is an excellent diner right on the UVA campus. Service is homey and quick. Breakfast all day and really good lunch menu as well. If you are going to a football or basketball game on campus this is the place to eat. Great hoagie sandwiches, try the Italian or a pizza. Burgers are really good with caramelized buns and the fries are light and served piping hot. They have huge waffles and tall buttermilk pancake stacks. This is definitely your go to diner for any Wahoo fan!

If you’re looking for a big, classic, basic brunch, The Villa is great for that. Plenty of food, great value, and everything is decent. Service is fast and fine. I like their pancakes, I like their French toast, I like their corned beef hash, I like their eggs… It’s just a home-cooked breakfast served in heaping portions. The Wahoo Breakfast is the way to go if you want volume. Actually, all the combos are great. But beware of the immediate food coma you’ll experience after eating all of that… It’s intense. :P

The service is great. The food is exactly what a diner should deliver. Have not had a bad meal there — ever. Mozzarella sticks — kids are addicted. And the owners create a warm and personal touch!

Great breakfast spot! This is my first time in Charlottesville and we decided to try this place because of the reviews on here. This place gives you the«hometown» feeling weather you’re new or a regular customer. I will definitely be back next time I’m in town.

It is a family-friendly diner for breakfast. My friend and I were VERY hungry as it was post-Foxfield. I had fresh vegetable omelet with provolone cheese and English muffins. My friend had the super big complete breakfast. The omelet was delicious! The slightly undercooked egg gave a milky, creamy taste added to the dish and provolone cheese made it perfect. The English muffin, however, was too buttery for me. Super big complete breakfast was good, according to my friend. It has a lot to offer: two eggs with any style, sausage link, hash browns, two toasts, coffee AND orange juice! It’s a great deal for a good price.

This place is great. Is it a fancy, high-end restaurant? No. It’s a family-friendly diner with affordable meals that are delicious. You can get breakfast served all day, awesome baked spaghetti, good salads and sandwiches and you can wash it down with brewed sweet tea. The waitstaff is friendly and competent. One of my favorite places to eat in Charlottesville. As an added bonus– if you have kids there’s a clear view of the train tracks going over a bridge, and trains pass frequently. In the fall, the UVA marching band practices right across the street.

Huge snow day before made me in the mood for French Toast the morning after. I usually go to The Nook at the Downtown Mall, but given the road conditions, I thought I would give The Villa try. I am picky about French Toast, but the Villa’s French Toast was good, and«The Wahoo Breakfast» was very affordable; came with 3 pieces of bacon(the bacon was thin) 2 scrambled eggs(pretty much standard, run-of-the-mill eggs) and 6 halfs of French toast(3 whole pieces of bread), and I also got a small glass of orange juice, and my total came to a little over $ 9 before tip, very reasonable. Overall for a quick and cheap breakfast fix, I would go again.

Standard diner food which at the right time hits the spot. Great breakfast — inexpensive, abundant, and tasty. This is not high class dining here — and that’s fine. Waitstaff seems to be quick and on top of things without being overly friendly. I have never had a bad experience here. The over-easy eggs are always spot-on. I’ve never gotten a cracked or dry yolk(knocking on wood that it doesn’t happen now). Biscuits and gravy aren’t the best, but luckily there’s so much on the menu that it’s easy to pass over.

Always reliable. Convenient. Throwback style of a greasy(not so much) spoon. Décor from the 70’s and it shows. Fortunately food abundant and tasty. Open till Midnight on weekends.

This is a standard diner for the south. They serve decent food at a decent price. Most of the wait staff are really great, although there are a few surly ladies, but that’s what you should expect. They serve breakfast all day. This is a wonderful thing. I highly recommend the pecan pancakes. Everything is cooked on a flat top grill just like it should and comes out piping hot. This is a great spot for kids and groups. Be warned though — it can get crowded on the weekends due to its proximity to campus. And by crowded I mean full to overflowing with families, students, and seniors. But don’t worry, it never seems to be that long of a wait.

It is what it is. It has to make you smile. An American institution. However don’t eat here every day or you may end up with type two diabetes. Excellent service.

A group of friends and I checked out The Villa after a UVA game and first and foremost it was CROWDED and HOT. The service was just okay but you could tell that they had great relationship with their regulars, one of the patrons even called the waitress«butterfingers» — really funny. As for the food, it was also just okay. If you order the blueberry pancakes you may be disappointed because the blueberries are not actually cooked into the pancakes, but rather just dumped on top of them. Also, if you get the eggs, make sure you ask for the large ones. Finally, make sure you specify that you’d like the water ice cold, otherwise they might just bring you a regular water with ice in it. Long story short: funny patrons, large eggs, room was hot, water was cold — 3⁄5.

They made my fried eggs perfectly. English muffins were soaked in a pound of butter but they were tasty… lol The breakfast potatoes are not real diced or sliced and pan-friend potatoes. That was very disappointing. Instead they are those shredded frozen potato things then shaped into a patty. These were not the worst I’ve had, at least they tasted like potatoes. Add a little pepper and hot sauce and wash it down with coffee and it’s all fine. Service very good. First cups of coffee were good; third and fourth cups were clearly from another pot, they were slightly bitter but not horrible. Very reasonable breakfast diner prices.

The Villa isn’t one of those pretentious spots«foodies»(I hate that term!) would go. I doubt it’ll ever be featured on the Food Network\Travel Network. The décor is typical dated diner — but it appears fairly clean. It’s the type of place you go when you’re hungry — not to have a fine culinary experience. I went for breakfast — and I was thankful they open at 6:00AM. I had a western omelet, whole wheat toast, and coffee. The omelet was fairly large and was the type where the«filling»(onions, green peppers, ham) was mixed with the egg instead of stuffed in the omelet. It also came with cheese(my choice was American), which was inside the folded-over omelet. The quantity of the ingredients was about right. It tasted fine, but was unremarkable. The toast was fine, but also unremarkable. The coffee was typical diner(meaning fine, but not great).
