This Wal-Mart seems to be very disorganized. Items always seem to be in a different location or on incorrect shelves. The store could use a good cleaning as well. The location is good as it is right off of Route 29. However, I would recommend going to the Wal-Mart in Ruckersville, VA for a more pleasant experience. Returning an item or picking up a website order can be a horrible experience. I went to pick up an item I ordered online and waited in line for an extended period of time. The line was very overcrowded and the process seemed highly disorganized. Avoid the headache and shop at other store.

This place is horrible. I’ve been standing in line for 45 minutes while waiting to pick up my mini fridge. The customer service representatives are unprofessional and this is an inconvenience to my day. I just want to pick up my fridge. #salty

Idk about the store but the bathrooms were really clean!!! I am on a 3 hour drive and after a red bull and some gigs this morning I had to poop so I saw this Walmart. Now when you think of a Walmart bathroom you prolly think ew gross due to the customers that shop there. Wrong this bathroom was clean I was surprised lol

Photo centers pretty darn terrible tbh. Guy lost our precious pictures twice, returned them to us late, and was pretty unpleasant. Think he lost one of our photos too. I’d recommend just going to cvs

All the employees here are terrible! I have been here many times over the past couple of years and have consistently encountered the worst customer service, and I have had enough! I WILLNEVERBEBRINGINGMYBUSINESSBACKHEREAGAIN. There have been many occasions where I’ve dealt with incompetent and lazy employees and rude managers — one of them named Dwight. Some tips: They do not answer their phone at all. I saw another review making this complaint. It’s true. I called periodically throughout the day and no one answered. Do not bother wasting your time calling. I would avoid all business with this Walmart. It’s not worth the time or money coming here. I would never recommend coming to this particular Walmart under ANY conditions.

This Walmart has a pop up Honeybaked Ham kiosk during the holiday season. Since Honeybaked Ham had closed their only Charlottesville store, this was the only option for last minute HB ham. The Walmart parking lot and store were packed with holiday shoppers, however they had staffed up and there were ample check out and customer service associates available. This store is huge with few areas to sit and rest. I am not sure what the cleaning schedule is, but needs to be stepped up. For example, there was a fly strip in the bathroom coated with the dead bodies of flies. My daughter tells me that it has been a couple of months since it has been warm enough to see any flies in this part of the country. Gross. I guess I am grateful for the HB ham, but wish they had placed their kiosk in a different store.

Walmart, I have a few issues and questions that I would like to discuss with you about my experience in your Charlottesville store on 11⁄19. I came to your store to eat lunch, as I do almost daily. I work at the dealership adjacent to the Wal-Mart. After eating, I was browsing through the store on the remainder of my lunch break. At approximately, 2:15pm, I was walking towards the garden center exit as it was closer to my work and to save myself a few steps in the nearly freezing temperature. As I approached the door, I was met with an associate that eyed me suspiciously demanded«is there something I can help you with?» I told her that I was walking back to work, I then zipped up my coat to head into the outside portion of the garden center, and she walked away. Once I reached the door, I realized that the door was locked, and I passed by the same associate that stopped me earlier. The associate did not say a word, as I passed, and knew well that the door was locked and had chosen to not warn me. Once I got back to work, I was called from my office when a co-worker said there was a police officer waiting to speak with me. The officer asked me to step outside the dealership and asked me if I had anything under my coat, I told him I did not and I was asked to remove my coat and sweatshirt in freezing temperatures. This was done in front not only my co-workers but in front of customers. I had not stolen merchandize nor do I have a history of such! I then called the store to complain about this act and was transferred to store manager«Heather.» Heather was completely dismissive of my experience and expressed that«it was their protocol». I would like to know how this is a «customer first» attitude and furthermore, how following a person out of store with no evidence of theft, that had not even been confronted, and falsely accused is a «good protocol?» My concern is the poor customer service that I received from your associate and your store manager, but more importantly how and why it was appropriate that if they had concerns that they were not brought up in the store. The fact that this false accusation occurred and that a police officer followed me to my work and humiliated me at my job. This is in no way appropriate and such behavior would not be condoned at my workplace. If I were to so falsely accuse a customer, I would be looking at termination! Furthermore, I feel that I was judged upon my appearance(beanie, beard, winter jacket) as a person that looked like a «thief.» I am outraged that this behavior is condoned and would like to see action as a result. While it likely will not make any difference to your store, after this incident I will no longer shop at this location and will encourage those I know to do the same.

If you call the store and ask for a department they will transfer you and let it ring until their system hangs up on you. Terrible customer service when calling.

I have been in Charlottesville for a month and visited this Wal-Mart three times, each to purchase a small amount of items. Normally, when I am purchasing 5 or 6 things, none of which are large items, I grab a basket. A basket is one of those plastic blue things you hold in your hand and carry items in. Oh, you’ve heard of them? Well, the Wal-Mart on Hilton Heights road has not! The first time I walked in and didn’t see any by the front entrance, I thought«Oh, they’re just being inattentive or lazy. I’ll walk to the other entrance, where I will surely find some baskets.» But no. There are none at the other entrance either. Then I thought, «Oh, they must have just run out and have ordered more.» But no. It’s been a month and there are still no baskets. And the thing is, I rectify this by just buying a few items I can easily carry. I’d probably buy more if I could easily carry more… IN A BASKET. But whatever. I can just buy those things at Harris Teeter.

A Walmart is a Walmart, right? Low prices and you should be able to find what you need. For me, this Walmart is especially disappointing when I think about Sam Walton’s commitment to great service. His legacy has been lost in that respect. Just know that service is nonexistent if you visit this Walmart. It is all about price. Be patient if you go.

Wally World! It’s an average Walmart comparable to any other one. The food area is really good though. They have a seasoned rice package that I can live off of! A co-worker made it one night and said that she got it here. Once I get the name of it, I’ll have to update this review with it. There was an insanely long line to check out. I can’t understand why at rush hour, they just don’t open up a few more checkout lanes. Walmart isn’t the only place that does this. I’ve seen that happen at just about every«Mega Convenience Store»(as I like to call them). If you are standing in line more than 30 minutes(like I was) then something is really wrong. :-(
