Awful! The man that answered the phone was obnoxious. Ordered 2 pizzas, 1 plain 1 white pie with garlic and eggplant. The plain was just that, plain and just OK. The white pie had WHOLECLOVES of raw garlic! On the one slice I tried to eat I counted 9 cloves of raw garlic. NINE! I love garlic but nobody can eat 9 cloves of raw garlic on a piece of pizza. You really need to mince your garlic before putting it on pizza so it can cook a little and you can eat actually eat it! C’mon guys. But I should have guessed by the attitude on the phone that the food was going to reflect that. Stay away!

$ 2.56 for a tiny plain slice? Wha?! Terrible. Food here is not good at all. Not recommended. Hickory Tree in Chatham has slices twice as big and better tasting.

I gave this place more than one try thinking maybe they had an off day, but I can’t say much good about their food. The chicken and cheesesteak was so dry we could barely eat it. The honey mustard was disgusting and the soup was so salty. The chicken fingers tasted like plastics. Now I know not to give them anymore chances.

I live in Chatham, nj and would like to report the management at Café Villa as being unfriendly and there to collect money, they do not know how to run a neighborhood business. This is a horrible excuse for Italian food, the pizza is over cooked most times, delivery is slow, please do your family a favor and use Arminios pizza in Chatham, Firehouse pub in Madison or Your best pizza in the area would be Bella Riva in New Providence who deliver to Chatham area. If you want a sit down Italian meal you could also use Coppolas in New Providence, but for the love of sauce and cheese, do not buy anything at Café Villa.

Food is fine– kinda garden variety Italian– but the service here is stellar. Alex the server and all guys at front counter plus Bruce on delivery have adopted my 4 yr old son. Also, during Hurricane Sandy, they got a generator and cranked out the only hot food for miles til the lights went out. Awesome!!!

If there was a choice for zero stars, I would have chosen that. Pizza was barely passable. Meal was nearly inedible. We ordered one of the specials-spinach ravioli. Isn’t that typically ravioli with a spinach filling? Ours was cheese ravioli with spinach sitting on top. The waitress said they made a mistake and brought us the correct ravioli — which was sitting in a gloppy red sauce akin to Hunt’s from the can. Although we were starving we couldn’t eat it. One side dish was never brought to the table. We had to go up front(b/c the waitress went missing) to find it and then they ended up bringing us two of the same. There’s more but suffice it to say the food was the worse part. Supposedly the chef was out the day we went, then they should have CLOSEDTHEKITCHEN and not led people to believe they would get a decent meal. Never again for this disappointing place! PS: The few times we ordered takeout pizza from them, it was usually wrong(wrong topping etc).

Pertains to take out/delivery. An uninspired pizza — nothing awful about it, but a truly baseline effort. Thin crust without much(cheese and especially sauce) on it.

Went there last Sunday with my boyfriend. We weren’t expecting the best meal ever, but overall we were under impressed. I can’t quite put my finger on why, except that the food just wasn’t very good. First I ordered coffee b/c the restaurant was cold, but the creamer they provided curdled. That grossed me out a little bit, so I opted for diet coke instead. We were very hungry(big surprise!) and ordered the following: rice balls for an appetizer, salmon and veggies(for me), veal parm hot sandwich(for him), tiramisu for dessert(for me). My salmon and veggies were pretty bland(maybe fish isn’t their forte). I coudln’t finish it and had no desire to take the leftovers home. My boyfriend’s hot sandwich was just OK he said. My tiramisu was frozen solid. And lastly, the rice ball. It seemed overcooked, dry and not particularly fresh. Maybe we’ve been spoiled by only getting rice balls at Italian Festivals? Plus, due to the world cup being on, our service was slow and lacking. Needless to say, we will not go there again.

This place offers pizza, pasta, chicken, veal, seafood dishes but I have known to stop by just for the pizza since it’s close by and it’s next to CVS. I’ve seen this place as a popular place to get dinner during the summer after the kids have been at the pool all day. The pizza is pretty good, better than Antonio’s down the road but doesn’t top my favorite, DiMaio’s in Berkeley Heights which I think they make gourmet pizza. I had the mussels marinara and it’s tasty and not bad on price for the portions you get, only $ 7.97. I have yet to try their pastas but going to this place doesn’t trigger me to order pasta… just pizza. Got their menu with coupons and will try out their other entrees. Will come back to comment on the pasta dishes.
