Nice hideaway sandwich and bakery shoppe. Sure the help scowls a bit, but they are efficient, and it is more of a take-away place so the scowling doesn’t really effect the digestion of the food. The baked goods are great. The cold sandwiches and grilled paninis are terrific. I love the make-your-own option, since I have food allergies. Expensive, yes. I didn’t mind the $ 10 paninis, because they are so yummy, but I did mind the $ 3 small apple juice bottles. Seriously, 2 kids plus 2 adults spending $ 12 on juice at lunchtime? Bottled non-organic juice? So, in summary, we’re fans of the food, not of the price gauging. And okay with the scowls.

Although you might not know it by the name or appearance, this is a great place to stop if you in town and looking for a quick, simple breakfast or salad or sandwich for lunch. They have a crowd in the summer and seating is very limited, so you may not get a table. If you are looking to take something home or to the beach, this is perfect. I recommend trying some pastries which are very tasty as well.

This is a great place to get a sandwich while walking around Chatham. We went this summer and you can not beat this. There were so many options that I am sure you can find one that you like. I shared the rip tide and the sand piper and I would recommend them both they were phenomenal. There is not a lot of seating, so I would get take out if you have a larger group.

Chatham Cookware Café was our go-to-place for breakfast and lunch on our summer vacation in Chatham. We happened upon the Café while exploring Main Street on our first day of our trip and found ourselves returning for something to eat almost everyday. A breakfast sandwich and cup of coffee in the morning on their outdoor patio was the perfect way to start the morning.(Just be sure to get there before 11am because they move on to lunch sandwiches after). And did I mention lunch? The hearty sandwiches are all custom-made with fresh ingredients. I liked their suggested sandwiches because of the variety(paninis, wraps, and veggie options), but also the names rock!(Anyone know what a Salty Llama is?) They also have prepared salads.(If you are a chicken salad fan, this is a place for you). If you are not up for a meal, or just need something sweet, the pastries are to die for! We definitely went in multiple times for a «cookie and muffin break» to refuel during our adventures in town. Lastly, the charm of the Chatham Cookware Café was genuinely evident in the girls working behind the sandwich counter and register. A smile goes a long way and makes for a great meal and experience. Watch out Chatham Cookware Café, I will be back for those french breakfast muffins!

I agree with Christian N… the two girls that are working behind the counter in this store need to go! I too have never taken time to write a negative review but just made a mental note to write this in the hope that whoever owns this establishment reads it and fires these two girls the next day. We are also from out of town and felt the rudeness that others have noted… so rude beyond words. As for the food ordered some chicken salad and tuna salad and was gross… Would never return… the help definately ruined a pleasant stroll along main street. Too bad. Whoever owns this store you have a big problem on your hand that is killing your business.

Grabbed breakfast sandwiches before a day on the water… I’d give their bagels a solid five stars, but the setup is a little strange. Not really designed for eating in. Delicious food though, so it is well worth a visit!

For a sandwich and for a good locale, you can’t beat this place. It isn’t cheap and the service can be spotty but for downtown Chatham it is okay. Having said that, I wouldn’t go out of my way to go here. You can do better outside of town or nearby. Main St. is a bit of craps shoot in the summer but better in the off season. I thought their veggie sandwich was better than the one with meat and cheese frankly. The menu is a bit odd and tries to be more trendy than it is capable of so only order something that you know tastes good. Don’t experiment here, you may be unhappy. In the AM they have great coffee and friendly service.

Food was great both time I went. I had their No Wake sandwich and a create your own as well as a cookie. The larger lady who took our order was unfortunately rather rude but the rest of the staff was friendly and welcoming

Oh, my goodness, YUM! I stopped at the Chatham Cookware Café today and the soup special was white bean chicken chili. it was not just good, it was outstanding! The seasonings were so incredible(was that tarragon?) and I savored every bite. Their offerings in the cold case looked good and fresh. All of the girls at the counters were very nice and efficient. I will definitely come back to this spot in the future.

Great little spot for a coffee and muffin — seats on «front porch» let you watch the town go by! Prepared salads looked tempting as well… I may return!

Great people watching spot in a homey space with more than sufficient fresh baked goods to stay or go. This is a tourist pull for sure but in off season and shoulder season it’s apparent locals draw from this well daily.

We are visiting from out of town and were looking for a good place to get a fast and delicious breakfast. The breakfast sandwich on Portuguese muffin with linguica was amazing. We also got the pistachio muffin which was light and fluffy with a crispy top. I would definitely recommend this place!

Came here twice on a recent trip to Chatam. Once for breakfast and again for lunch. We were there on busy 4th of July weekend but the staff handled the crowd efficiently and the sandwiches were worth the wait. I had a ham egg and cheese on a Portugal roll for breakfast. For lunch I got a sandwich(can’t remember which one). There was a group of us and we were all happy with our sandwiches! The coffee was good too. There is a limited amount of seating in the store and a bench on the porch.

Excellent egg and cheese breakfast sandwich on a Portuguese roll. Got one on the ride out of town and wish I had gotten two! Corn muffin was also really tasty, and not cloyingly sweet like most bakery muffins. Till next time chatham, thanks for the tasty farewell!

Always a good bet when in need of a quick tasty lunch. Been here several times with family and none of us have ever had a bad meal here. The soups are delicious, sandwiches are yummy. Only drawback is the lack of seating when the place is packed with tourists. I haven’t ordered coffee here(some reviewers seem to not like it) but they have a nice offering of drinks besides just typical soda. One of the things I like about this place is that they also sell an assortment of Stonewall Kitchen gourmet food items, something I can’t find where I live. So it’s good to know I can stock up on SK while filling up on yummy food. Prices are typical for Chatham, but Chatham Cookware can always be counted on for a good meal.

This place is the bomb dot com… enough said. Any sandwich you get is gunna be good, and they have nice drink selection as well. The cookies and pastry stuff is also real good. In Chatham, this place is what is up.
