Chatham Fish & Chips

I had the calamari and whole belly clams. The batter is light and crispy plus the owners are really nice. I had a wonderful experience here!

Excellent lobster roll! It was reasonably priced with a ton of fresh lobster meat, a nicely toasted roll (not hot dog bun), and just the right amount of mayo. The fries were also fantastic. Everyone in our group of 7 loved their meals. Service was very friendly and quick. We’ll definitely be back!

Great food at reasonable prices. Had the fish n chips and did not disappoint. Also great spot to watch the seals and just a short walk into Chatham center which is a great spot on cape cod

I think when you are on the Cape, your favorite seafood fry joint is always the first one you go to. This was not my first and I was not wowed, by any means. Fast service, good prices, decent, fresh food. I just may be back.

Was, as always nearly closing time when we arrived, but the lady in counter was very helpful and accommodating, we ordered soup chowder, angler plate, garden salad to share… Everything was delicious,
Reasonable price and quick service.

Perfect for a visitor looking for a quick lunch:
A short walk from the downtown area and plenty of outside seating.
Fish & chips: fish was fresh and well cooked with just the right amount of breading. The portion is generous, with a hefty helping of fries, onion rings (also well battered), and coleslaw. Depending on hunger level, two people could easily share one fish and chips plate.
Clam chowder was also better than expected.

Excellence in quality, taste and cleanliness. The top three things I look for. Just a step off the the busy streets of Chatham and you’ll find this newly established restaurant. With a wide open kitchen, there is no attempt to hide anything, but simply show that this place is top notch. The lobster roll I had was excellent. Not too much added to the fresh sweet lobster. A nicely toasted roll and excellent fries. My wife had the haddock sandwich and daughter, the salmon. Both rate a 5. We live 10 minutes from the ocean and know quality and freshness and this place has it. Don’t hesitate to walk a block from downtown and get the freshest seafood in the CHATHAM area.

DOG FRIENDLY! Super clean, friendly staff, reasonable prices. Easy to find near the municipal parking lot too. Awesome outdoor seating on the patio and a big bowl of water for the four legged guests.

Pretty basic fish and chips type deep fry joint, off the beaten path a little bit.
I have no major complaints, but I was expecting a little bit more from the previous Unilocal reviews I read.

Great fish and chips cooked to perfection. Anglers plate shrimp, haddock, scallops, clams, all with fries cole slaw and onion rings. So good!!!

The fish and chips here were bland and average at best. I prefer the fish and chips at the fish pier much more than this place. Honestly the food tasted like Kream and Kone.

Great food. I’m from Maine and am very picky about my lobster. This was my first lobster roll outside of Maine. Normally I wouldn’t have even considered a lobster roll but after spending 3 days on the cape, at the beach, I was craving one. It was packed full of meat and not too much mayo which was a plus. The roll was golden and toasted in butter. However, it was only claw meat, no tail and it didn’t seem as though the meat had been cooked in salt water which is very important in my opinion. I had to add a little salt, which I dreaded having to do. I substituted onion rings for the fries, which were some of the best I’ve had.
Also tried the whole fried clams which were perfect! Perfectly cooked, really fresh with great flavor. They come with tarter sauce which was also above average, but you should just save it to dip your fries because the clams are so good you won’t want to take away from the flavor.
Staff was also really friendly. I’d definitely go back the next time I’m in Chatham.

Would be five stars if they turned the damn ac on.
It was set for 75 and showed it was 85 .
I did turn it down to 68 when they went looking

This place was really good! My bucket list item for coming to the Cape was to eat a lobster roll! I bought one here for $ 21. It was pretty good and tasted really fresh (keep in mind I don’t have any other lobster roll experiences to compare this too). I am not sure how much a lobster roll normally is, but this one seemed way too expensive for the size of the food. The fries tasted like normal fries, they weren’t anything special. Come here for the fresh fish, but don’t expect a cheap meal! We took our food down to the beach, and it was a perfect way to enjoy the sunset! Also, none of us were able to finish our meal, so I would recommend splitting if you are budget conscious.

Let me start this off by saying I have always thought lobster is overrated by 99% of people. and still do.
Let me tell you though that this lobster roll I just got here was as close to perfect as I could ask for.
It is my single favorite lobster dish/​roll/​sandwich I have ever eaten this side of a Fra Diablo preparation!
The buns were perfectly toasted, there wasn’t too much mayo, there was just the right amount of lettuce with the right consistency. I added a pinch of salt and it took it from a 95 to 99 for me… but I also typically have a heavy hand with salt.
The fries that accompanied the lobster rolls (which were a surprise) were perfectly hot and crispy.
The woman at the counter was incredibly friendly as well.
Oh… And from ordering to my first bite, it was less than 10 minutes. Incredible Instant gratification.

Excellent place to stop for lunch. I had the fish and chips and it was excellent. Other family members had the lobster roll and said it was amazing. My mother had the special sweet n’ spicy fried calamari and said it was exquisite! Wonderful food and amazing service. If I come back to visit Cape Cod I’ll definitely be back.

As a traveler in Cape Cod I was looking for affordable and delicious seafood, and this place hit the spot. I had the fish and chips platter and it was amazing! It included fish, cole slaw, fries, and onion rings for around $ 14. There was also outdoor seating which was cute, and I was very pleased with the service. Great place!

Exactly what I want when I get fish and chips. Fresh haddock (and a generous piece) fried perfectly, great onion rings, and fries. My sons both had kids plates (fish and chips and chicken fingers) that were quality too.
Very friendly service to boot. Definitely my go to for fried seafood in Chatham.

This place is FANTASTIC so if you get told 1 – 2 hour waits at Chatham Restaurants know this… Chatham Fish & Chips is the best by far, value, that this sleepy little $ town has to offer.
From fantastic friendly service, to an incredible diverse menu, to super affordable prices… this is the one to beat on a quick turnaround, last minute dinner decision. Everything is fresh, everything is clean and everything is delicious.
I walked thru the door with sweat pouring from my forehead. I ordered a ice cold, unsweetened ice tea, and boy that cooled me down. Then I selected the fish taco’s and a side salad (and a side order of onion rings). It was all good in the hood!
I am so excited about this place I am going to trumpet it to the world!

By far one of my favorite of the classic fish and chip, seafood places. Great quahogs, chowder and I really like their fish tacos.
Fries, onion rings — perfect. Everything you could want in the traditional seafood drive-​in style with a comfortable patio and in a great location.
