I was really disappointed after seeing the 5 star reviews. It has rocky, seaweed ridden water. While there are some small shells, there are no crabs /​critters for little kids. There is little beach for any sort of activity. There are tons of green flies. If you are staying within walking distance of this place, or you want to just read a book, fine. Otherwise keep on driving.

South Dennis, MA
This is a lovely tranquil beach on Nantucket Sound in S. Chatham. It is very quiet, offers free parking, stellar views and a lovely SW breeze most days. a lovely day with a friend. the greenheads were fierce at the east end but near the parking lot, folks said there were no flies.
