Took part in the Cape Cod Resturant week and decided the best options were at Pisces. Made reservations for 8:15 and arrived at 8:00. Our table was not ready and we were guided to the bar area for cocktails. This gave me ample time to take assess the décor and layout of the dinning area. It is a small dining room which during a busy restaurant week means it was very loud inside. I felt like I had to yell at times. After being seated at the bar it took 10 minutes to be acknowledged by the bartender. The bar was not full nor was he making drinks. He was having conversation with the only two patrons at the bar. Finally I ordered a Old Fashioned from a cocktail menu and the bartender(second season) was searching the shelves and then had to revert back to looking at the menu to find which bourbon was used in the cocktail. Slightly disappointed however it could be due to a a new menu for the season. We sat at our two top and took advantage of the $ 35 Prefix menu which we ordered the Black Truffle pasta, Mussel and Shrimp pasta, and a caramel gelato for dessert. Our server was delightful, prompt, and attentive despite the full house juggling multiple tables. Our food was excellent! We will be back to have the Black Truffle pasta! Our server informed us it usually is paired with a chicken dish however can be served as an appetizer as well. It was time for after dinner drinks. My guest ordered a coffee/kahlua/chocolate liqueur and I ordered an espresso with a side of sambuca. My guest observed the bartender place only a splash of each item which deemed the drink weak. Overall an enjoyable experience and I will return. It is fairly early in the season which I can understand some confusion with possibly a new menu along with a high volume of traffic during Resturant week can be overwhelming. Will try again later in the season to compare.

Soooo goood!!! Love their sharkbite margarita and anything on the menu is perfectly light and delicious — you instantly feel like you’re on vacation!

Excellent choice for fish or shellfish. Their portions are large but you can also order smaller portions on many of their offerings. I had a delicious tomato, basil, and mozzarella salad, corn and lobster chowder and a shrimp, penne, asparagus, and Parmesan entrée. The entrée was huge and could have easily served two people. For dessert, a tres leche cake. All excellent and well prepared. The sauces are light and flavorful. The service was efficient but a little slow. Friendly atmosphere and a tasteful dining area. I saw a number of tables with small kids here which is nuts unless your 7 year old is a gourmand! This place isn’t cheap and the service is leisurely so junior better be patient. My kids are older now but this would have been a painful place to bring my rug rats. I think this is one of the best restaurants in Chatham. Innovative menu which takes advantage of the abundance of seafood available locally. 4.5 stars!

Came in for a drink. Ordered the sangria which tasted quite watered down. The bar tender was not very personable.

Tiny restaurant made from regular house. Very nicely converted. Warm welcome by host person is always nice. My waiter was fabulous. Great service delicious food, no complain. Portions are small, if you are big eater order more than one appetizer or defiantly get side dishes. Everything is fresh local catch and produce!

My first review ever is not a good one. I have been coming to Chatham for over twenty years. I have been to most every restaurant in the area multiple times. Because of my last experience I find it extremely difficult to go back to Pisces. To keep a long story short, the food took over 1.5 hours to come out. This long wait time was attributed to the extra time it took to cook a well done ribeye. The 40 dollar ribeye was rare. I asked my sister if there was anything she would like to do about the ribeye but unfortunately the food took so long to come out that she had to leave to pick up a prescription. The waitstaff must have known there was an issue because we were ignored until I got up and found our waitress. When the rare steak was pointed out to waitstaff their sincerest apologies were expressed however little was done to rectify the situation. The waitstaff took the ribeye into the kitchen but she relayed that the chefs(who own Pisces) said there was nothing they could do since my sister had already left. After factoring in the 20 minute wait for the valet, this was a miserable experience. I understand restaurants have good nights and bad, but if you only have a few special nights a year to cherish with family and friends, it might not be worth the risk to roll the dice here.

Had a 7:30 reservation and didn’t get seated until 8:15. Sat at bar while waiting and bartender ignored us for literally 20 minutes. Keep in mind there are only 6 seats at the bar. Hostess/manager didn’t even acknowledge or apologize for the wait. Once finally seated, service and food was outstanding. So if it weren’t for the front of the house, would give this place 5 stars.

Great staff, food, drink and atmosphere. Set in a small house, make reservations in advance if possible. Can sit at bar at times but there are only 4 seats. Food: for a place named Pices, it has one of the best steaks around – anywhere. The Pizza Margherita with buratta is great, as are the cesar salads, baked cod, and strawberry shortcake. Full bar with wines selected by local wine merchant. Its all good.

I wanted to like this place. I really did. I gave it two chances. Both times, I found the food to be bland, uninspired, and incredibly overpriced. I’m all for supporting local business, but I have no idea how this place is always packed. Service was very slow both times, but that doesn’t factor into my rating. I’ll put up with mediocre service for amazing food, but this food was not amazing.

Make your reservation well ahead of time and GO! Have eaten here many times and its just amazing! Romantic, cozy, great service, great wine selection and menu. Hard to choose from the Daily Features and the risotto(they’re deservedly famous for the risotto!) went last week(still PACKED off season!) and we had the fresh, local tomato salad, swordfish & tuna specials. Martinis and a bottle of great red wine(which you can take the leftovers, if you have any! Home with you) This is definitely my favorite dinner restaurant in Chatham! Go! Eat. Be HAPPY!

We have eaten there three times — twice just the two of us and once with another couple. Each time we found the food to be acceptable but the price high. Last time the striped bass was full of bones. Very unfortunate considering the price was $ 39. Sorry, but I won’t be back.

Three to four stars for the food. Tuna app was overly salted. Seafood stew was ok as the jalepeno overwhelmed the dish. Worst of all for an intimate restaurant, the service was overly disappointing. This place simply cannot handle its guests, has a horrible bar that takes longer than the food, and to too it off, charges an automatic 20% tip over and above the taxed amount of the bill. Will not return or recommend.

I made a reservation for a Thursday at 8:30. We were not acknowledged for quite some time at door(probably 10 minutes). Seated at 8:50. By this time we are hungry, but not acknowledged yet. I noticed a table seated after us getting bread and water so as soon as our server came we gave her entire order. I asked about a jalapeño watermelon margarita on special. She said I would like it not too spicy and a bit sweet. It was not served until after I had finished my appetizer and it was awful. If server had asked me I would have sent it back. Our dinner was good, seafood fresh but not enough. We were still hungry. We ordered bananas foster for dessert. It was bananas in sauce over vanilla ice cream, nothing special and over priced. Overall, I am giving 3 stars. I don’t think it is worth the money 115 plus tip for just okay meal and mediocre service.

I really love it when a gem like this place stands the test of time, ate here again after a 2 year hiatus and it was better in many ways. Now if you’re looking for a big plate of nuggets and fries please don’t go here, this is fine dining which rivals anyplace you’ll find. The chili lime shrimp appetizer was as close to perfect as any appetizer I’ve ever tasted. The crème fraîche in the quacamole is a perfect example of the little touches that sets this place apart. The chowder entrée was spectacular made with a rich but non starchy base and full of grilled scallops and little neck clams. I’m telling you that I have had chowder at legals, the sole proprietor, the Oceanaire and Union Oyster House and NONE of them comes close to this sublime offering. My tres Leches dessert is my favorite dessert anywhere and I can’t ever not get it. My wife got the ribeye and it is a testament to the craft of these two outstanding chefs that they can master seafood and still make a world class ribeye! Go here if you’re serious about great food, someday you’ll be able to tell people that you ate Sue and Ann’s food when they worked on the cape

Went here for dinner and drinks Saturday night, all over great experience! To start we spilt the margarita pizza with fresh burratta on top– amazing! For dinner I had the Caesar salad and calamari and my friend had the cod dish, all of the food was creative and delicious! For dessert the tres leche cake is a must, I’ve never had a dessert like this before, it just melts in your mouth and is so tasty. The restaurant is so cute, we sat at the bar and had great service from the bartender. Great place for a nice dinner on the cape!

Delicious dinner from start to finish. We orders two appetizers — the calamari(steamed not fried) and the seared bay scallops. Both were cooked very well — though the calamari had a tad too much salt –and served with arugula salads. The cheese plate was very nice as well including great rosemary shortbread biscuits and Marcona almonds which were delightful pairings. We suspect the cheese billed as Robinson Family Swiss was actually something else as we have since had RFS and it stashes distinctively different. Our main courses were the seafood stew(served with what I will call homemade matzah) and the lobster ravioli. Both were well prepared and seasoned nicely. The Tres Leches cake which we shared for desert is plate-scraping worthy!

Once again, we enjoyed another spectacular meal at Pisces. The chef really has her act down and consistently dishes out outstanding food creatively prepared and served by helpful and friendly wait staff. We started with the tuna stack appetizer — fresh tuna tossed with a spicy light mayonnaise and soy and layered with avocado, panko, and tobiko caviar. We usually split just one appetizer, but the choices were so appealing we couldn’t decide on just one so we also had the sautéed calamari which is cooked to perfection and full of flavor — some of the best I’ve ever had. Entrees were also hard to narrow down, but I finally decided on the whole wheat fusilli tossed with spinach, garlic, eggplant, tomato, olives and fresh ricotta. I also ordered the optional sautéed scallops with it, which, again, were cooked to perfection. A really nice light dish full of flavor and really fresh ingredients. My husband ordered the chicken — rarely do we order chicken when we dine out, particularly at a restaurant that specializes in seafood, but the description was too tempting to pass up. I think it was the black truffle stuffed pasta that ultimately cemented his decision and those alone were worth sacrificing a seafood entrée. Although we were stuffed at this point, we still had a bit of wine(another bonus — they featured a Biale Zin as a special that night — one of our favorite wineries and we rarely see their wines on menus), we couldn’t resist ordering a cheese board which offered a selection from Chatham’s local cheese shop. The three that were featured were all outstanding and paired with a fig jam, really yummy shortbread biscuits, and super addictive almonds — the perfect ending to an all around exceptional meal.
