Cheeburger Cheeburger

Alright place. I had the ¾ lb burger and it was kind of dry and soso flavor wise. Fries were good and shakes were awesome. Our server was delightful.

My favorite restaurant to go to when visiting Chattanooga. Every time I’ve been here its been great. Service is always good and the food is delicious. Its a little pricey but its definitely worth it.

My kids and I spent the day in Chattanooga and I had a groupon for this place so we went for lunch. We had to wait about 10 minutes for a table. The host was very friendly and went through the menu with us since this was our first visit. Our server was nice but not overly friendly, though she answered all of our questions and didn’t have a bad attitude or anything like that. The burgers and hot dogs were pretty good, but I wasn’t crazy about the fries and onion rings. The fries seemed overcooked and the onion rings didn’t have much of a taste. I did enjoy my burger though. Overall, it was a good experience but I don’t feel like it lived up to the hype. I parked down the street opposite the Chattanooga Duck Tour ($ 6). I was too scared to park by the restaurant based on other reviewers saying they’re happy to tow even if you’re actually eating at the restaurant.

We were looking for dinner close to the Tennessee aquarium and ended up at cheeseburger cheeseburger. When we arrived we were told there’d be a 10 minute wait. 25 minutes later we were seated. A table was ready at least 10 minutes sooner but the employees kept walking by 2 empty tables and not cleaning them. The server was friendly but very slow. Burgers were dry and flavorless.

Fantastic burgers… Blue cheese, bacon, peanut butter, fried egg… lettuce… Highly recommend…

Parking: We walked here from our hotel so I’m not sure of the parking situation.
Service: Awful. One of the worst experience I’ve had. The waitress took our orders outdoors while smoking cigarettes, she told us a sob story about her husband being locked up in prison, and kept forgetting what we ordered so she had to come back and confirm our ordered several times. When we tried to get the checks she messed those up putting the wrong persons food on the wrong ticket, and also gave us attitude.
Food: The fried mac & cheese was mediocre, which is hard for me to say because I normally love mac and cheese. The burger was dry and average otherwise. The shake I got was actually decent however.
overall experience: F. Average food with horrible service, no thanks. Never again.

The food is as good as you would want for Burgers fries and milkshakes and such. The only thing here is you’re paying a little too much for the food and ambiance for my taste. Don’t get me wrong I understand that those things cost, it’s just that the price seperated this from 5 stars to 4 because of price. Let me explain…
Came in on Saturday to enjoy Cheeburger Cheeburger. It was packed with visiting families from out of town. I have been here before but it was years ago. So I go over the menu process and then picked the Western Burger (the burger of the day) «semi-​serious sized for myself, a water to drink and the gf had a root beer and we both had a serving of sweet potato fries each and she had the «novice» sized «Classic American burger». The food was awesome the service was great. The portions of the fries were tolerable (I typically have a ton of fries left).The fries were really good, but not so good that I ate them all with out noticing good.
We added a shake because I checked in with Unilocal and a coupon for a free shake popped up. So you fellow Unilocalers should «check-​in» more. The ticket came and the total was $ 36.44 Which was ok I guess but I really felt that it was just a little overly priced for 2 people with one of which had water to drink.
I’ll go back because the food was great, & to treat family and friends from out of town. Not for a regular spot.

Stopped here after visiting Ruby Falls and really enjoyed it. We got two 7oz western style bugers with pepper jack and swiss instead of the cheddar. With some extra toppings. Note if a signature topping is used on the style of burger you do pay the $ 1.19 price (i.e bacon). Manager was very attentive to all guests’ and very helpful… we’ll be back!

Loved this place! Basically here you can build you own buger! Starting with the size of the burger, type of bread, sauces and toppings. It has a 50s dinner theme.

Local burger and shake place right next to Tennessee Aquarium. Was recommended by older volunteer Jerry at the aquarium who we later saw eating lunch there.
Clearly a local favorite. Place was packed by noon on MLK day. Unilocal offer for check-​in was free 120z milkshake.
Burgers were good not over the top but good. Fries, onion rings and sweet potato fries ok. Oreo and green mint shake was the highlight for me even if it was 23 °F outside.
Service was good. Don’t know if it was MLK Day that made it so busy but expect a wait if it’s crowded.
Sat by the wall of pictures of the 1 pound burger eaters (really 20 oz). Not sure I liked the burger that much to try it.

It was a bit of a let down. Nice atmosphere, fine service and alright food. Honestly, you could get a better burger and fries at chili’s for probably less. Fries are extra and over done. This is what really got me, I ordered the Hawaiian burger, swiss, bacon, and pineapple. I was charged over a dollar for the bacon! I ordered a burger with bacon on it, I didn’t ask for it.

Slowest service ever! Waited 10 mins just to be acknowledged by the hostess, who was the GM. Over an hour to get our food, which was simple. cheeseburgers and fries. Service was horrible, and food wasn’t anything to talk about

Sadly, not impressed. The place was cute. The appetizer trio is great. The burger was a big let down. It was a flat, dry overcooked patty, on an over toasted bun. I ate about two bites and decided to stick with the fries.

Awesome Place! We were here yesterday, 10/​11/​2015, around 3pm. Our wait was around 20 minutes. It was a Beautiful Day outside so the downtown area was packed so needless to say this Cheeburger Cheeburger was packed! No worries, we were not in a hurry. First off remember this is Not a Fast Food place! The orders are cooked once ordered, so your wait for your food is pretty long, especially when they are busy (like they were when we were there). We probably waited over 35 minutes for our foods. But again, we weren’t in any hurry this day. It seriously is worth the wait for such good foods! Our Service was Great, the entire time! All our foods were Amazingly Great! There is no complaints from me with this Cheeburger Cheeburger! Great Service, and Great Foods! Again, if your in a hurry I wouldn’t go here, because the wait could be pretty long, but for fresh, to cook order foods we’d go here again in a heartbeat! We can’t wait to go back! :) Highly recommend trying there Mac N’ Cheese Wedges!!!

It was just ok… we had a friendly waitress and a Groupon which helped. There are better places to eat. Chains are usually average and this was no exception.

Good food, great atmosphere, kids portions are nice but kids burgers are tiny! :) if your child eats a lot, use the adult menu :) great place.

We were spending a day in Chattanooga and I was excited to find that there was a Cheeburger Cheeburger right near where we were going to be. We used to have one in Raleigh but they pulled entirely out of NC and I kinda miss them.
So it was a little busy when we got there so we had to wait to get seated. it was the Sunday of Labor Day weekend but they only had like 4 servers for the whole place, and there should have probably been 8. So all the servers seemed tired and overworked. Big fail on the part of management.
Our server was very nice, but you could see he was run a little ragged. He took our drink orders and was prompt brining our drinks. We ordered our meals and an appetizer of fried pickles because we had a coupon for a half price appetizer. The basket of pickles came out and it was only about a third of an order. The waiter explained that the kitchen had run out of batter. Now, being pretty handy in the kitchen myself, I’m thinking… batter… hmmm… eggs, flour and some kind of liquid (buttermilk or beer maybe), some seasoning, and voila! batter! Could they not just send someone to the supermarket to get the makings? It was still pretty early in the evening, WAY too early to be out of batter.
The burgers were very good, but they must’ve also run out of jalapenos, because neither of our party who ordered jalapenos got any. These are the kind of things that happen when a good restaurant is understaffed and the kitchen is not prepared for a holiday weekend crowd. This is also the kind of thing that loses customers, so Cheeburger Cheeburger, you have to do better. I really hate giving you this mediocre review, but I can’t honestly give you any better of a rating.

Had heard people talking about how wonderful this place is, so decided to give it a try. Everything is ordered separately, and you essentially create your own burger, just the way you want it. I liked that I didn’t have to fiddle with fancy toppings and «set» burgers, and could just get a plain cheeseburger and fries. Definitely felt like I could get what I wanted. Did think that a turkey burger was $ 2-​something extra?! (Didn’t get one but saw that on the menu.) Enjoyed my visit there, but not blown away. A little pricy for what I had, but not the worst I’ve ever paid for a burger, fries & a drink. Also, they serve Pepsi and not Coca Cola. Not a knock against them, but worth noting. Might try sweet potato fries next time!

Cheeburger Cheeburger is not a place for an indecisive person. Everyone else will be fine.
The main draw to this quirky chrome-​accented, neon-​lit burger joint is the ability for visitors to «invent» their own burgers. You get a massive menu loaded with possibilities, limited only by your imagination. You select a meat, a bun, add your toppings, and finish it off with dressings to create a completely unique burger custom suited for your own tastes.
I love anything spicy, so I loaded my burger with jalapenos, pepper jack cheese, and BBQ sauce. The meat was properly cooked through without searing it and losing flavor. The fries were okay, but a bit on the skinny and crunchy side. Ice cold drinks are served in custom mason jars, making a nice touch to the interior décor.
The service was great. I was greeted as soon as I walked through the door, and when I asked for a specific table beside the window they quickly cleaned it up for me (how else can I get great photos of food?). My waiter kept my glass full and answered any and all questions that crossed my mind.
They are located downtown which makes this a great place for lunch or dinner while visiting the Tennessee Aquarium, Hunter Museum of American Art, or any other downtown destination. I can’t wait to come back here again and invent another burger. Wonder what I should call this one?

It’s sad to say but I had the worst customer service here that I’ve ever had. The burgers were good but it took over an hour and a half when only one other table was there. All three of the orders were wrong… Completely wrong. The waitresses laughed and gossiped beside our table when we were trying to get their attention. Not to mention there was a couple making out on a table beside us. Once we had had enough we got up to leave and speak with a manager. He did not even apologize but simply handed us coupons for «buy two burger and a drink, get one drink free». We will never be back again.

This is like the only place my wife will let us eat in Chattanooga. Great food, great environment and at a good price.
Make your burger however you want and your shake exactly how you want.

Delicious food, and great service! The food here is classic diner-​fare. Great burgers, fries, etc. The staff were friendly (and helpful to «first-​timers»). Your beverage comes in a nice cool Mason jar, with plenty of ice. The place was fairly crowded, but the seated is arranged in a way that it didn’t seem to matter. Overall, I highly recommend.

Burgers and onion rings were great! Fries left a little to be desired. Atmosphere was great my 2 year old loved the cars box his food came in. We ordered shakes they were delicious but they came when they brought our check.
Overall good experience. I would recommend it.

Great kids place. Adult? Find another burger joint. Extremely noisy. Service slow. Personnel friendly. Food tasty but a bit high.

Horrible just horrible, music was way to loud, service sucked and the seating is so tight your chair hits the chair of the person behind you. To top it all off a few if the waiters and the manager reeked of a freshly smoke d joint!!! They advertise them selves as a family place. NEVER again it’s been 10 years since the last time but I will never go back.

This was my first visit ever here. It looks like it is mostly for kids and teenagers who don’t have a job yet. But there are also parents here too. I wanted a cheeseburger tonight for a change at a restaurant that I have never been to.
menu items ordered: cheeseburger, French fries, and a coke. The cheeseburger was a serious cheeseburger that I ordered. It was a 5 star burger with pickle, onion, tomato, cheese, lettuce, mustard, mayonnaise as usual. However, I didn’t like their French fries as I ate about half of them and then left the rest. They kind of over cooked them. They even gave me a coke to go without asking.

I’m not sure how this place has so many great recommendations. Service sucks. Management looks/​behaves like they are fresh out of high school. Employees spent more time socializing and flirting with one another than anything else. Total disregard for customer service. Three hours later I felt like I was escaping from an asylum when we finally received our check.
I will never waste my time/​money/​appetite on this place again.
