DSW Designer Shoe Warehouse

I LOVE DSW. It’s just about the only place I buy shoes any more. Their prices are great and they have an excellent selection. This isn’t as big as some other locations, but I always find something.

So it’s not as big and the purse/​accessory selection isn’t as expansive as my fave DSW by Perimeter Mall, but this one is solid.
Searching for work shoes (non slip, black ones of some kind for resto work) and one or two pairs of spring-​into-​summer shoes, Mom and I seized upon this DSW at Hamilton Place (seriously, in Chattavegas, if you need most things and definitely if you want to go to any «big box» retailers — you need/​have to go out to HP).
Victory — on the clearance section, which is dicey for a 9 ½ girl, I found a great pair of suede-​y Steve Madden booties that are great with jeans, will be super with dresses and skirts, have a wooden stack heel that goes perfectly with the light beige, tannish color, an extra 30% off. We mulled over a few other potential victims — Nike, Teva and Coach all had cute, cushioned flip flops that I liked but only came in whole sizes and I was right between a 9 and a 10, duh. If you were in the market for heels or cute (but not supportive, so no dice for me) flats and ballet-​type shoes, you’ll want to check this place out.
Good value, good store — DSW wins again.

It’s a chain so you know what you’re getting. They get shipments (at the time of this writing) on Tuesdays & Thursdays.
Situated in the Hamilton Place perimeter where the old Barnes & Nobles store used to be.
Very helpful staff and prices range from great deals to moderate (don’t expect anything high end). Make sure you check out the back room for clearances.
